I don't know which Polo you are talking about but the modern Polo played across the world is picked from Manipur, India by the British soldiers. Polo is the state game of Manipur. Polo is secret to our culture. It's believed to be the game introduced and played by Gods. We developed our own polo kits in home. No import. The world oldest Polo Ground is the Imphal Polo Ground.

So we all know that it wasn’t the Brits who invented polo (my bad)...The reason I made that statement was because we just spent a year in Malaysia, and polo is also a big thing that was picked up from the British era in the region. So we thought it was the same here. My mistake! But hey! That’s why we travel...to learn things that we didn’t know of or thought wrong of. The big debate now is...is it from Pakistan or Persia?🤷🏻‍♀️🤷‍♂️ ...listen to Mr. Shamyl’s story on the vlog👍

Polo originated from this region between Iran and Pakistan. Its not a british sport. British adopted it from here. Cricket is british on the other hand. These days authentic traditional polo with old rules is only played in pakistan by the way. It was called sport of the kings if I am not wrong because prince and royalties used to play this.

The king of games and the game of Kings as chitrali's call it, a princely state at the foothills of the hundukush and terichmir in northern kpk, those people are crazy about this sport the respect it so much they are bonded to it, every year a polo festival is organised (it dates back even before indo pak partition) at a high grazing ground with a lake in the backdrop located in shandur chitral district its a must go event that was my best part of Pakistan tour 🇵🇰
