This footage is mind blowing, pure gold! It's not easy to find footage of shuffling in Australia pre-2005, let alone with such a good picture quality. Thank you so much for uploading!
I'm sharing all these uploads to all my shuffle friends in the US. These videos are so important in documenting the history and the culture of the dance. To see how the movement and dance used to be in its rawest form is a pleasure to watch. Amazing how far the dance has come.
Hi Dave I'm really happy that you found these clips enjoyable, These tapes were lying in a draw for years, they were old stock footage from some of the parties we ran. Good times, & time sure does fly. Thanks for your kind words.
@@edmac3651 hey Ed, thanks for the kind words, chances are that if you were at any of the WET musik parties or most of the Hardware parties, our paths would have crossed. If you jump onto vimeo and search for neurodancer, you'll find that very interesting.
holy shit, i literaly downloaded the first version of the melbourne shuffle and its been on every phone i own for the past 20 years, and there is a follow up i find 20 years later, WOW, this is deserves to go down in history.
Thanks for the comment Michael, so glad to hear you have enjoyed this snippet in time. I have a lot of fond memories of this era, & it seems that you do too. Take care.
Every picture made up only one part of the dance scene at the time, there were other players like Green Ant, Hardware, WET Muzik just to mention a few. It's not a contest for you to claim that you have the biggest dick, it's simply a little slice of the Melbourne dance scene from the past.
Yes have they been to any raves no just young ppl come in to it sorry just you have done the shuffle and jump does not mean any thing if your old school then yes but it's just young shit any way half of melboune can it these ppl killed the scene
It's actually people like you that made the scene toxic, pseudo elitist wankers that place themselves on ivory towers and make idiotic comments about there virtuous place in the scene. I call bullshit on your assertion that these people killed the scene, it was a combination of pressure from the state & police on the organisers along with the intense rivalry between some of the crews running parties, basically too many parties & not enough people. Sorry to hear that you have grown up to be a bitter and angry individual who cannot simply accept that the people in these videos represent a part of the dance scene that you were once a tiny & possibly an insignificant part of. Have a nice life.
Legendary Ravers. Perfect mix between groove and shuffling. This is a lost art. Now modern electronic events are like rock concerts and packed AF
The girl in white at 6:54 is amazing. Understated, pure rhythmic flow.
These moves are quite like northern soul moves from England in the late 70s early 80s and still the oldskool lot still dancing like it at reunions 👊

Yeah the girl at 6:54 is my favourite dancing style too. Many thankx for sharing 🔨🔨😄
Crazy how Echo was considered a dope brand back in those days, now it's readily available at a cheap price in K-Mart. Suits me, I still love it haha
ecko sponsored lots of these event back then, we use to get tons of free stuff from them (Globe)
House Dancer vs Melbourne Shuffler who’s gonna win.
