As a long, long time Ohio State Buckeyes fan, we have been through dismal years, even decades losing routinely to Michigan and bowl opponents.
Please keep your heads up Oklahoma Sooner fans, BV needs time and he will have your team atop the polls again.
CFB is always better when Oklahoma is a powerhouse and you’ll be there again soon!!
Go Sooners (and Go Buckeyes)! 🏈

I think its really foolish for some people to assume BV doesn’t have what it takes. His defenses have been the envy of CFB for years. Lebby has a fantastic pedigree too. OU is playing with one half decent qb- and no depth behind him. A defensive room full of “bend don’t break” style guys that are clearly frustrated that BV wont change his system on their behalf. A system which is proven to build championship defensive players- but is complex and takes a year and half to really learn. He refuses to change that because it needs to be built into OU’s DNA moving forward- so win or lose, that is the style he’s sticking with because it will eventually work. He’s recruiting fantastically. I think BV has everything Oklahoma needs to succeed moving forward- except it going to take patience for the process to work. Something every great program struggles with, understandably.

Most of us Oklahoma fans have faith in BV. The media is trying to make this out to be such a huge deal because it’s news worthy. We don’t like losing but understand you can’t replace 50% player attrition and a new coaching staff in 1 off season and expect a title run

It's one thing to lose games. It's another thing to in three consecutive weeks:
    1. Give up 41 points to a Kansas State team that could only put it up 10 points against Tulane the week before . 2. Let TCU put 55 points on them it what should have been a rebound week. 3. Let Texas, their bitter archrival, control every aspect of the game on both sides of the ball for a 49-0 loss.
No one is demanding Venables win a national championship immediately. No one is expecting him to even win the Big 12 immediately. It is not too much to ask that he not plummet the program into a historically awful year. Why does every team have their highest scoring week against him? If you are ranked in the Top 10 going into the season, it means you have talent on your team. This is bad coaching and nothing else. It's time for OU to hold Venables accountable by firing him and moving on to a new coach.

This is just a GARBAGE, uninformed take.
He still has guys that want to do it, "the old way," as well as losing almost all your returning defensive talent to the nfl, and most of your returning offensive production to the portal or the nfl.
You don't have: an experienced front 7, a line that is any better than last year, a qb even CLOSE to what you had last year or the year prior, a 1000 yard running back.
And you are all trying to get to know each other and retrain dudes...as well as you still having some kids refusing to buy in.
This is EXACTLY what you would expect, NO MATTER the coach.
You can take a year on the chin, stfu, and let the man work.
Ou fans are spoiled, entitled, children.

It’s tough to sit and watch no doubt about it.
I listened to Joel Klatt state that OU was a national championship caliber team after the Nebraska win and I believed so as well.
In spite of the last 3 games I am still on board with the direction.
Hoping it gets better sooner than later.
Last thing I want to see is another coach leave and more players and recruits leave.
Stability can take forever to build and only moments to destroy.
Last thing I would want to see is a coaching carousel like so many other programs.
