Wow! Nice find. I never knew Lego made a Bus Station. They need to make one again in their 2026 range. Just my opinion buddy. Thanks for sharing this video.
that is correct, but then there are not enough bricks left to build the station on a correct way. The designers apparently have to weigh every cost and every brick and decide what is possible and what is not.
I remember my brother and I got this set, must've been maybe 80/81 as it was one of the first we had with a proper road plate and we were too small to put it together ourselves. The very first LEGO building we had was the cute 675 snackbar! While many AFOLs will find sets of this era rudimentary IMO they possess this simplistic charm of 70s/80s LEGO sets that is completely absent in modern sets, plus will easily be replicated if one has a few bricks laying around. Found its original instructions this very evening so it's coming together again!
It's a great set from late '70s, simpy but charmfully. It's incredible how LEGO changed in so little time: no chairs, so you have to build them with bricks! "current chairs" came only in 1980! I bought this set on ebay about 2 years ago. It was loose with manual, but the seller gave me the front and back of the box, too. But, watching this video, I realized I have a wrong baseplate, without crossroad... so, now I have to buy it! 😑
yes indeed a crosswalk. that is also why the station is not centrally located on the side of the baseplate but a little more to the left. This way the crosswalk ends just at the door where the minifigs can enter.
I don't think I remember this set. Lego seemed tp be innovating quite rapidly at this time, and for a large set it looks a fairly primitive compared to sets that came out not long afterwards, although it does have some charm. It reminds me of builds in the big Ideas book and similar things, as it would be quite easy for a child to imitate from pieces they already had, and might inspire new creations.
the 1978 and 1979 were the populair years of the new minifigs. In this set the male and female torso looks great. And also no stickers but prints on the torso.

Thank you for watching!
A beautiful find and another great video!
Thank you for your nice comment!
You can build the bigger bus with the parts from the bus stop I think :p
