@TherealBoomStickBill They were more like forced contracts, Iraq got most of the US equipment with the worst specs because most of the contracts were signed during the US invasion, so the Iraqi military had no say in it. I would say tho that the M1 Abrams were the only good thing we got from the Americans, it protected our tank crews well and demolished the enemies. The F-16 were delivered with no Air-Air capabilities due to pressure from regional powers and the air defense systems were junk and only have a small range. Its horrible that they scraped the entire arsenal of the precious Iraqi army. If the US really had intentions of making Iraq an ally post war then they wouldn't have destroyed all its aircrafts after the war, hundreds of Mirages and Mig-25s as well as 200 hundred transport helicopters were vandalized and destroyed by US troops just for fun.
