Bekka, your working experience is priceless, and to have compassion is a winning combination. Your knowledge is worth its weight in gold. Your family is such a wonderful support system, too. God bless you and your beautiful family!
Hi, Bekka. Our local community College has a 2 year degree program in Equine Science. You could probably find a similar program near you. I know the program might be too introductory for you but it might be nice to be able to promote yourself as someone who has a degree to help with getting clients. Best wishes always! ❤️
I think this is really important the schooling because even though we know you have or can see that you have the experience. There is something about having a piece of paper verifying your knowledge I made the mistake of not getting mine verified, and I spent years working underpaid lol. Good luck.
Very smart guy there Rebecca. I think u will see amazing things with him. I used to do what ur doing and his pick up was impressive. He will work up his feet once he discovers his stride. What a great job u r doing. U always amaze me with everything u do at the ranch.
Poncho is still young all he needs is a little time and he will be good as new ! You are just as good at training horse's as your dad thanks keep it up Racca ❤
I always liked the Mane and Tail conditioner to grow hair. We also braided the tail to keep it from matted or stepped on. You are doing a great job with Poncho.🎉🎉😊😊❤❤❤
Once again, Rebecca, I thoroughly enjoyed your video. You are a very knowledgeable young woman, and it’s lovely to see you working on a rescue horse.❤❤❤🙌🏻
Poncho is starting to look like 'ZORRO' with his natural coat coming in with good nutrition. The natural mask around his eyes is starting to show. Great job Bekah.
He's such a lucky horse---what a nice gentle and considerate horse trainer you are. I love greys as far as coat coloring goes, and he's going to be gorgeous as well as well-mannered in a few more months.
Yes Bekah you really need a career in already what you do!! You’re Great at this!! A little college degree would be a great back up bc you never know what life has in store but definitely in the horse 🐎 industry!! You’re a natural!!
Your skills demonstrate how to take advantage of Poncho''s desire to please you! Kindness is so simple, and easier than being mean. For his mane, perhaps Poncho would benefit from Hair Club for Horses (a little-known organization).
You are doing such an awesome job with both the horses and making entertaining and informative videos :D Keep up the great work Rebecca (hope I spelled your name right )
Honey, I was just like you when your age on our east Oregon dairy. Mom was so grateful that I loved my horse more than boys! Take deep breath, relax and SMILE so others can see your charming personality! God bless you all! Jeanie from Boise Idaho❤️
If you don't mind, I'd like to offer a suggestion. When you were with Huckleberry, you were much closer to the camera. A good connection with your audience. I found this video a bit difficult. Either better lighting or closer to the camera. I love your ability to connect with the horses. Such a wonderful gift, at a young age! Keep up the good work.
Becca you always do a nice job with all your training and stuff. But if you had put the camera on the other side of the round pen where the light is we would have been able to see you and not your silhouette. You always put your camera with the sun behind the camera. Which eliminates the dark shadows and silhouettes. In a microphone on your person with takedown the echoing in the barn.
He looks AMAZING after only 1 month!! 1st training went so smooth.....cuz ya know it could have gone a different way entirely but he so wanted to please. The sticky feet and more woa than go could be him needing to gain some good muscle weight and probably the first time he's stretched those tendons in forever. Just a suggestion on lighting, the light should be behind the camera (which usually means you're talking into the sun...LOL) so next time you want to show him in the round pen, put the camera on the fence near the open barn door (that should work a bit better).
I enjoyed your lesson, he probably will have more energy when he is in a better condition. And maybe he is a bit sore in his front feet , he seems to be careful putting them to the ground, maybe he's only just being careful on the barnground. Your work will be good to to put on more muscle on him . Please go on ...
Hi Rebecca, do you have a microphone to clip on your shirt? I believe they are magnetic and can be bought on Amazon. I know from other starting You Tubers, I'm a follower from the Netherlands. I was born a poulterer daughter and ws educated from early youth (7 years) to take over the business from my father, so I know what it takes to follow your Dad's foodsteps. YOU ARE DOING AMAZING. Very wise to go to college and educate yourself the best way you can now your young. It will be a very good firm solid second layer base, after all your parents tought you. 3 things of advice to give; Relaxe, show youre having fun and smile, that way you get better connection with the people that watch you. Be serious but make it more relaxed to watch. Try to think of how other You Tubers do it and why YOU like youre favorites. Please don't take this as a negative responce but maybe read it and think about it and talk it over with youre Dad. Greetings from the Netherlands.
Thanks for giving positive feedback to Rebecca. It all helps her to get better and increase her following which is what is she is wanting to do. She’s going to be really good at this just like she’s already a really great horse woman.❤❤❤🙌🏻
Thank you so much for the for the advice and the microphone is a great idea I will look into it! I appreciate all the positive feedback and ideas! Thank you for watching and I hope you continue to enjoy!
Consider a wind baffle that attaches to microphone. Maybe do a wireless mic also, to cut down on the air noise btw mic and video cam holder. If you are moving around, a frame stabilizer ( Gimbal ) provides high production quality. Your channel will get better and better
Rebekah, don't you worry about college...you have a very bright career in horses and training them...you are already getting a following in your town. People are seeking you out to train and work with their horses...let your husband go to college and work the 9-5grind! Lol
I hope you are able to go to college. It expands your mind! Apply to Colorado State University You'll be a great fit and you'll love it there and the programs there. GO FOR IT!
You already have a great amount of knowledge from your life experiences. Going to college will be so satisfying and you may feel frustrated later in life if you DON'T go to college. GO FOR IT!
I love what you and your family do rescuing horses, etc .. That being said, here's the hard part .. Lunging on slippery straw on cement is very bad .. It is not good for his hooves and really not good for his legs, and he has a limp on his front right leg .. Poncho is still about 200 pounds underweight with zero muscle .. Taking him to the river and getting on him is wrong .. Heal him, get him fattened up, do the ground work with the saddle and stuff, but stay off of him ! His top line is all bone, and you never ride a horse unless they have a filled out muscular top line .. He is a good candidate for bitless riding .. Why rush to ride him ? A gust of wind could blow him over .. He should be fattened up and more muscular than he is in a month having him .. He needs alfalfa mix mash with vitamin E and a young horse grain supplement twice a day ..
Hey! I’m glad to see all the love and care and worries poncho is getting through all of you supporters. I wanted to clear a couple things up for you to hopefully ease your mind a little. First it does look like cement we have gotten this before but the ground in the round pen is pure soft dirt with a thin layer of shavings on it we would never lunge a horse over cement. That said we may try to get an even softer bedding/flooring in eventually. Then also we decided to let him gain some more weight and recover a little more before getting him to the river after I did this video. That being said I filmed this a month ago and he is looking much better now and should be ready soon! Keep in mind not all the videos are posted in real time. We always do what we think is best for our horses and if we believe there is anything that could cause them harm we wouldn’t do it. Although a good water treatment in the river (no riding) might have been good for him. Lastly the camera doesn’t always show the greatest what the situation is really like we try to do our best though. I always think of it like if you look a picture of a mountain then compare it to the real thing in person there is no comparison to the beauty of it in person. Thanks for the your recommendation and opinion, and thanks to everyone for the love and support!
