- Looking for the best wood chipper for your yard? We took the DR Power Premier 310 Chipper Shredder up to the farm in Georgia to help PTR reviewer Luke Smith with some of the cleanup chores.
The Premier 310 uses a 233 cc gas engine that produces 6.6 HP and 11.1 ft-lbs of torque. As the smallest in the lineup, it’s the most fuel-efficient and is capable of shredding branches up to 3 inches. This chipper will tackle almost any yard or garden debris you throw at it.

I bought the 410 about a year ago. Didn’t have 10 hours on it before the drive shaft broke. Took about 4 months to get it fixed. Had less than 5 hours on it before the flywheel came loose. Been in the shop for 3 months with no idea when DR will ship parts.
I bought a 410 wood chipper last year. I wasn’t planning on purchasing a four-wheeler this year. Is there any way I can make a tower behind it?
Unfortunately for me, (the easily annoyed,) liberal use of whoosh sound effects has become de rigueur. Otherwise this was a good video.
I hope DR got rid of the employees who were assembling the chippers wrong. Found other videos. Bolts stripped that holds the cutters in place in side the chipper. Keeper clips missing. Loose nuts bolts.
who makes this engine. that is a hang up for me. I think the DK with the Kohler engine gives me more confidence. any idea who makes the engine.
