I actually have two of these! I used two ladders on one bath filled with sand (i kept the sand level a bit lower, as my male robo really liked to kick the sand around) so it was easier for him to get in and out, as the bath itself is a little deep. The other I just filled to almost the top with the coconut husk/peat bedding (they sell for reptiles) so he had a different texture to play with. He loved both. I agree that it's perfect for a robo or dwarf hamster! I've bought a lot more hamster items than I want to admit, but I really think Niteangel and Bucatstate are among of the best you can find, especially on Amazon. That said, I hope you keep making vids Rachel - I wish I had found your channel when I first started hamstering in late 2020!
@@Timcheezy hi! Aww thank you for the kind words! Don’t worry, I’m not going anywhere… I’m in way too deep to quit now 😂 Rn I mostly focus on podcasting, updating my website and started doing these short- form product reviews- what kind of hamster content do you enjoy? And thanks for the confirmation about this sand bath- it IS great for robos, isn’t it?? I’m so glad you’re having success with yours. That’s a great idea to use with the coconut soil too! All my hams also have coconut digging areas but I agree I really like this container for the size and accessibility! 🐹
I have the rectangular Niteangel sand bath, 2 of the corner sand baths, as dig boxes and a small corner sandbath / toilet for my Russian dwarf hamster. I do think Bucastate do good products to though. Good review. Thankyou.
I got a decent one from temu it's very deep. The very first time my hamster went in he got his leg stuck on the ladder so that was bad but i immediately took it out and added more sand so he could just jump in. But he doesn't kick it out so it works for him.
@@RachelGotHamsters I have a Syrian. No the ladder is nothing like that one. It was plastic and came up and around the edge and straight down. My hamster decided to jump out rather than use the ladder and his foot got caught where the ladder came up and around the edge. I was right there but he was able to free himself before I even got to him but he was dangling from his leg for a second. I threw the ladder out because it could have been bad. The ladder rungs were very far apart but where it curved it was close to the bath part and somehow he managed to get stuck for a second. I wouldn't worry about your ladder. My sand bath kinda looks like a mini swimming pool with a ladder like a pool ladder if that makes sense. The ladder on it's own would be fine the bath on its own is fine but together they create a tiny spot for little legs and feet to get caught.
cool video
I have this same sand bath for my tiny dwarf Sassy. It’s perfect for a smaller hamster.
