While the grenades are much better than the normal weapons, they should just let you choose to play with the water balloons full stop, the soaker just sucks. I still remember when they promised pool noodle melees and then totally reneged.
The kill stealing is what baffles me. They create an event that is meant to be played with other people and then kill the entire vibe by allowing others to steal your credit and therefore Nakak Pearls. So, like WTF? Might as well just make it a PvP event.
And can I say what a boring idea for this they went with. They could have made this an operator/drifter event and made new summer themed cosmetics but no, just throw an inner tube on them, take away all the things that make playing the frames fun and individual, and defeat the idea of playing in a group by allowing kill stealing. I feel like we are being trolled. There are already so many bugs and "hacks" in this game that have been around for years but patching out anything that makes this event less of a slog takes priority. WTH?
BTW, this is my first time playing this event and yes, I'm irritated that someone seems to have gone out of their way to make sure that we could have a worse time doing a summer fun theme event that just about anything else in the game.
It should be shooter design 101 to make sure players realize assists are a valuable part of the kill, and to not punish them for (Often arbitrarily) not getting the kill.
You can be a bully by doing flying kicks on the executioners. It knocks them down and gives you 2-3 seconds of free shooting except for when they’re in a group.
I tend to dislike modes that do away with all the nuanced systems etc. in favor of a few repetitive and shallow gimmicks, I'd like to at least AoE my way through it. I think it'd be an improvement if they made watergun versions of iconic Warframe weapons instead, maybe hide those around the map, with limited ammo and respawns like Halo. They could make 4 to start out with next year, and add one each year for a few years. Kohm, Opticor, Bramma and other weapons with a very particular functionality would be cool, an Azima sprinkler seems like a natural fit as well. These could even be some sick skins for frames like Hydroid and Yareli if it works as a purely visual thing. Even frames like Saryn or Lavos could color it appropriately, and you'd have a toxin erupting Bramma instead. Hell, what if they modified the weapons like Nightwatch Napalm etc. do? Would probably be a gpu destroyer, though. Seriously hoping for a good Hydroid rework, I love aquatic themes and he could have great looting going for him, imo the pirate should be the best at it.
I usually just stay in the air with bullet time and try to shoot the enemies with the soaker. Works if you know how to aim that crappy thing, but makes me wish the water balloons were a permanent option there, they're just way better both in damage numbers and usability.
idk why they make the game more time consuming starting from farming , crafting time and nerfing steel essence and the funny thing that after an hour u get a notification of playing for 1hour take a break😅
Why would they change a one time mission reward to be infinitely farmed? Sure it would be nice, but its the mission goal reward, not a drop, they will never do that.
Sure, regardless though its never going to happen because event goal rewards are not farmable (again, the exception is the floofs, they give you two free from the store). Now if you said they should add it to the store, then absolutely, that would be fine. @@GazTTV
Can you still just crouch in the water near the edge of the map (so the deep water covers your head) and the be invincible or was that patched out? I haven't done this event in a few years.

Damn, I wish I knew that vig swap worked. I wish they buffed the squirt gun's projectile speed when at max pressure, I don't even need the extra damage.

I honestly don't care about the nerfs in "Dog Days" TBH. I like the new water grenade but I just enjoy the fun, water splashing and the awesome change of atmosphere from the repetitive normal game grinding. I love participating in this special summer event yearly. 🌊🔫😎 ✨
This event is not fun at all. Im aiming on mob 10 straight charged shot on it shill above 50% HP and on me 3 shot and im fully dead... -,- I have to constantly recharge, the mobs aimbot and unlimited charged ammo. -,- I did all 4 run + few to buy the few reward what worth the most from the reward pool.

it is quite annoying yeah should just be a "pearl cache" at the end with everyones kills (althought that might encourage afk leeching)

the beach kavat and rucksack kubrow floofs are infinite farm (lvl 2/3 rewards) so not sure what your big issue is here
