The seven K-pop kings, BTS, held a global press conference for their new album “MAP OF THE SOUL: 7” in Seoul, Monday (Feb. 24). The press conference was originally scheduled to be held at Coex, Gangnam District, but due to the spread of coronavirus, Big Hit Entertainment decided to proceed with the conference via TH-cam livestream only without inviting the press. That’s if he joins the Army (not THAT one!) or Marine Corps.
If he joins the Navy, it’s 20 months.
If he joins the Air Force, it’s 22.
Non-active duty positions have varying durations, like 21 months as a public service worker, 34 months as arts or sports personnel, or 36 months as a doctor, lawyer, or top researcher.
After the compulsory service is completed, they’ll still be placed on the reserve roster and are obligated to attend 3 days of annual military training for the next 6 years (which will be shortened to 5 years come 2021).
Jin has to enlist by December 3rd, 2020, the day before his 28th birthday (all men fit for duty must enlist by the time they turn 28).

...and I'd try my best to be mature enough and not cry and wait for him to finish his 18 months of service. I believe that this fandom is strong enough to wait for them to reunite even if it takes 10 years to do so. Even if they don't, they won't be leaving us on a sad note. They'll continue to show us their love in one was or the other and JK's tattoos speak are the living proof of my words. They have showered us with enough content and music to last 7 lifetimes so this hiatus period wouldn't be as bare and lonely. I'm very proud and happy for them. They have matured as people and so have I seeing them. I'll be staying with them for the rest of eternity and I hope other armys do so too:)

Peaches BTS is probably going to be like Super Junior. Member after member enlisting. But they shouldn’t really be so upset since idols are treated differently from what heard from the rest and also we can get solo projects. I cringed when I saw the question being read and I felt bad that Jin was being asked that, don't get me wrong, but the question isn't COMPLETELY off base. It's not like its something that isn't already on a lot of people's minds, especially given the importance of the number 7. In my mind, its more of a relevant question than like "what are you wearing?" or "why do you wear makeup" or some other bullshit, you know what I mean?
And Jin handled himself brilliantly.

Trust me its very much possible! As an ELF of Super Junior i can vouch that BTS will last a long time. No military enlistment is going to stop them. Super Junior survived 10 years with not having all their members so I am positive BTS can do It too!
