Alvie Church & Loch Alvie

Sitting proud above the shore of Loch Alvie since 1798, there is evidence the church sits on even older foundations; possibly dating back earlier than the Reformation (pre-1600). During rennovations in the 19th century, a large number of skeletons were found beneath the church floor; presumably the dead of some long forgotten clan skirmish...!
