Then I bought a shimano reel one day and have never picked up a lews reel again. All shimano now. Not hating on lews. They are still great reels imo

Cant imagine fishing while being under a contract with a company. Great haul, but there are millions of (more specific) baits that outperform the big brands.
I’ve had one Lews rod and reel it was the Mach crush it preformed good but after about a month it broke I called the company and emailed them and never got a response so I went to my local bait store and had it sent back there for a new one and it broke a month later again my first impression on lews gear was not the best.
That’s unfortunate, and I am sorry to hear that response. Our customer service is usually pretty good. I can tell you though, that I have had hardly zero negative experiences, so I’m guessing you just got a bad nut
