I'm in the minority i guess. I think they are pretty interesting, but the white pair is much nicer imo. I also think it's cool to look at these as more art than fashion, like Seth Fowler said in his review. I mean I think you should wear your shoes regardless, but I think even if you don't like these, there is a ton to appreciate and admire.
I'm a fan of Virgil's work so I appreciate it for the out-of-box artistic quality... the wavy midsole design is a shout to Mihara Yasuhiro. I think as the brick box may suggest, this shoe was likely a cutting room floor design not really intended for public consumption. That said, I looks good on foot in your video. Can't wait for my white to arrive, possibly a custom... the vibes are like Virgil's "Dear Summer" 50 Dunks just in time. Great vid as always.

Actually looking at both color ways on reviews I like the black ones more bc you can see all the overall details more and all the extra pops of color are more cohesive on the black one for some reason. I just think most people like the white ones just bc white air forces are always more popular then black air forces. But in this case definitely the black ones for me

Bro I agree. I actually won a pair on SNKRS today and I’m excited. There’s so much hate surrounding the shoe but I love it. It almost reminds me of the Nike SB mids with the strap and I think it portrays a very grungy street style shoe and I love every aspect of it

I see the vision behind them. The af1 mid is a super classic shoe, but is blah compared to what we consider hype, or in style today. So they went way left to make it stand out. They embelished everything about the af1. Made the air visible, embelished the stars on the outsole into spikes, graffiti style air on the tongue. The details are dope if you're into the brand history and look at like wearable art. That's what i think is dope about off white and travis collabs.
These are made for the true art fans, that follow(ed😥) Virgil’s work more closely. He merged all he learned from his Nike collabs. It may even be a tribute or a last goodbye? It looks chaotic, gives the feeling of when people customize their own random Nikes to make them look like Off White collabs. They don’t look right, but they got the spirit. And the black and white colorways? It seems a lot like the beginning and then end. Just like in his last Louis Vuitton show, where instead of a bridal look, they opened with a black, funeral outfit. Virgil loved details and hints, if anything I said is bogus, he at least would love that this is what I see within these sneakers. Rest easy Virg!

Remove the spikes, take out the extra white laces, replace the black laces with pink and you have an instantly better shoe. If I can get for under retail ill def be doing that.

I would disagree with your sizing , half a size up sounds more realistic given the uncomfortable element of the spikes and also the hiking type posture they offer .
Just copped both colorways ...well first I bought the white Pair and look even better in person game and my girlfriend got his and hers pair but had to grab the black ones too and if you lucky to get at retail price cop them cos when are you ever going to get a piece designed by Virgil himself for that low ????

Kudos to you Sean for calling spade a spade. These are indeed a mess. In fact to me these seems like the result of Nike finding sketches on napkins when Virgil was doodling when talking on the phone or something, then just send them straight to productions.
Cut the bottom spikes 5 mins into wearing them unless you want an uneven uncomfortable walk you have to love the shoes but they would've been 100% fire if he'd of kept the rainbow spikes off

Don't like af1s at all personally, they just don't work with my feet at all. These don't really do anything for me, but I don't hate them either. I'd definitely take out the double lace though, I feel like that detracts quite a lot from the shoe. The concept on the sole I actually like, apart from the spikes - which have been pointless every time. I just find it hard to see the vision with all these random elements thrown together. Feels like something is missing imo 🤷♂️
A bit out there (not in a good way) with that multi-color and spiky front midsole/outsole - kind of ruins the entire shoe. And that is a real shame because everything else about the shoe is really superb. That grey/black transition in different lighting conditions is genius and really stylish. the double lacing is great and just everything about how it gels together is great. But that front end...🤮

I got them trough SNKRS pass while working, I just had to get them, since their my first ever NIKE x Off-White sneakers. I feel happy with my pair.

This particular off-white pair nods heavily to the Nike Vandal high as you can see with the stitching on the toebox and side panelling. :)

I tried to like this pair but just couldn’t. Maybe it’s the material used and those weird patterns and spikes.
I wore them and walking around just feel like walking on lego. After removing all spikes way more comfortable and beautiful 😍
I saw the shoe in person on a retail store and these are Heavy. No way, I would pay 240.
I mess with em tbh, definitely would prefer without the spikes or the boxy part of the midsole.
