I think not only should you show the shoe deconstructed, but you should do a how to video for all those in the same boat as you. Vigil wanted people to customize his shoes to the way they could, that’s why he gave us all these options throughout the years and I think you’d be able to help a lot of people.

GREAT, great, great review and breakdown of this shoe 🙏 It's something i love about sneakers going into what makes them art but wearable and seeing the designer's inspiration on why it was made. Correct me if I'm wrong, but the shoe overall seems unfinished...as if Virgil had the aesthetic down and was going to make it functional later, but sadly passed away before he could? Or I could be absolutely wrong, then in that case I agree: I wish the extra stuff on the side and back had more use as oppose to just eye catching. It definitely makes it eye catching, but that's not enough to make me want the shoe. The more you talked about it, the more I actually liked it, but blazers are way too flat for me, so it just wouldn't even be a good wear. Thanks so much for this Seth, love your stuff!

They’re great for the beach. I’m not a sandals guy so these work in hot weather because of the ventilation 💯 And there’s no fabric that the sand messes up and they can be wiped down easily.
got these for me in the black and in the white for my mom. Don't know when I'll ever get the chance again to grab one of virgil''s shoes for retail. Never really 'loved' the Off white collection as it became kinda hypebeasty and immature to wear (obviously liked them as a design piece) but these have that art piece feel that the OW jordan 4s for example dont have. This is a beautiful piece and has an avant garde look that I really love. Would also love to see a video of you taking the oversized heel off. Great video
I feel like most of Virgil's more recent creations havent been as inventive. The sail 4's really had no new design changes, just "AIR" text and a zip tie slapped on them. These blazers just feel like a blend of the dunks and the 5's to me
If you do go ahead and experiment with the shoe like removing the back piece etc. please also do some weight comparisons since you mentioned it was heavy and the balance was off.
One detail I love about this shoe is the murdered out logo since a contrasting logo would have detracted from the other aesthetics of the shoe. Sadly this is only one one colorway and not both but still something I really love and why I am going for this colorway instead of the other one.

Every time I buy on the snkrs app I end up getting the wrong size somehow. I click 10.5 and I always get something different. When I got the Black and White dunks it gave me a 10 which was fine because they still fit just fine but this time it gave me a size 9 and I doubt its going to fit me when it gets to me. I wasn't planning on keeping it regardless but if I get them in hand and I like them I guess I will try to trade with someone who has a 10.5 or 10.
