i was part of the slot car boom in the 60's. our average cars were pretty much what we see here. our open cars were still about twice as fast as these, but only the more skilled racers were involved. i feel these cars seen here are what would bring new racers to this sport.
Wow, this track is almost the same setup I raced on as a kid in the 90’s,it was located in Augusta Ga. I really miss it and hope one day to race again.
Compared to some slot cars, those ARE slow, they're retro cars from the 1960s, the world record on a slightly smaller track is less then 1.5 seconds! that's so fast you can barely see them. l have a track similar to this in storage waiting for me to find a spot to set it up.
So much better than the ridiculous light speed stuff I have seen....I mean at least you can enjoy watching this....they can keep the light speed crap.
So slow we were way faster than this in the early 70s. The modern ones are blurs but its not a spectator sport and the drivers manage ok.

Looks like fun. Nice track.
This is the exact same layout that I raced in Toldeo, OH at Redline Raceways back in the 80's.
I missed slot car racing when I was a kid early '80s. I think the cars were of 1/24 scale. They were quite large.
How many volts is this track running on? Very nice track.
Would love to play on that track
Thanks Bob slot car ledgen
Wow - nice looking track . Where is it and can I come race ?
Cream Ridge, New Jersey, very friendly place, Dom will even lend you a car!
Can you race micro scale RC on that track or would they ruin the road?
that HUGE track makes the cars look SLOW !!!
