I did this same intake with an e85 tune and really have been enjoying it. Love the way it revs in my ss and noticed it in performance and response on the shifts aswell . i gained 11hp from it itself on the mustang dyno at ARS.
What happens if u DONT delete the sound hose? (I personally don't mind the "whistling noise" and I usually drive my car with loud music on, and windows down so yea lol
@@WrenchedOutExperiment oh yea, I took out my sound tube (since I didn't like the way it looked) and well I dont have a plug (I bought my black hawk used on offer up for $100) and he didnt have the sound tube delete plug but that's ok, it works amazing! My car just feels quicker a bit (at higher speeds) plus I like the way it is since it makes this cool noise kind of like a supercharger (it kind of sounds like it imo, it sounds like its whirring up whenever I accelerate) but yea, and well I got a new filter for it (same filter I used the k&n website to find the right replacement filter) and it's pretty much new! (The old filter was kind of damaged a bit, and old)
This is a really late reply. BUT, we romove it JUST in case cuz I heard if the car's sensors goes off, the air bags could come out and we dont want that.
I got a pedal commander on my 2016 2SS and it makes a crazy difference. No bs... best 300 bucks spent. Easy to install and it's plug and play. It makes my maro drive way quicker and the throttle response is more than you actually handle on a manual transmission.
Great question, I’m not sure to tell you the truth. I have used k&n for a long time and on a lot of different vehicles, so I guess I’m fan of the brand and they back it. I have heard a lot of good things about Roto Fab though for Camaro and would have tried them if I didn’t find the black hawk edition intake
I use to have a Rotofab and I use to have the blackhawk and I can tell you is all about preference even my tuner was able to get the same results with both with maybe 1hp diference.

Did you reuse the rubber grommets when installing the air box?

From my experience it did help with throttle response.

Blackhawk adds up to 20+ pound ft torque on average but usually adds 10-15 horse
