Great respect for Chris Thornton, I run a CD based system, but still admire the ingenuity and beauty here.
I like the 301 and Thorens, and Empire. I like the older equipment. Quality is to expensive today.
That system should be playing something like the Allegretto scherzando from Beethoven's 8th. A Sax solo is like instructing a CNC machine to make jenga. Still a like from me for the imposing woodwork as well as the engineering under the hood. Simply jewelry.

Why would they change the domed slot head mounting bolts to phillips? Looks so out of place and cheapens the look of the turntable

The whole point of high torque turntable is rhythm and momentum. So you play a so sax improving with no rhythmic back up whatsoever! What the?

I think you're missing the point of good vinyl. An all analogue recording on vinyl has infinite resolution.

@Vinyl City, No analogue cannot match digital, Digital has more dynamic and more hi frequency, stable clock, no noise clicks or pops, and you can play the track indefinitely without wearing it out, Take you hipster thoughts to your analog world, this is internet where the smart people meet.

I wouldn't call Seas, mickey mouse BS, but i doubt such people buying such products are going to listien to headbanging Techno or dip there toe into Trap or Dubstep. And so such speakers aren't really necessary. Personally I think if audiophiles are listening to this kind of music, they're better off going down the Apple store and getting a half decent Bluetooth speaker from the likes of Bose than waste their money on this, becasue such music simply doesn't require a 7 ft tall speaker with amps the size of a wardrobe, costing twice the price of a Ferrari!
