Ian, we give God the praise and thanks for your appointment as chair of the portfolio committee. Please NEVER loose your zeal in that which you wish to accomplish. Remember to consider your idea of lie detector test for the police generals. Starting to clear up at the very top level is a excellent strategy. Remember we the church members continue to pray for you and your family.

Thank you Ian and ministerial appointees for making the root of the rot in the SAPS a priority as opposed to seeking out he fruits of the corruption.
I live in a rural town and the rumours of police corruption (and evidence) in our town is devastating, notwithstanding the good police service persons. In a small town with a population under 9000 people, and where we mostly know each other by a small degree of separation, the SAPS know which tree to shake to get crimes resolved. But there seems there is no incentive to STOMP OUT CRIME
I would like to see mandatory drug screening on the SAPS and investigation of drug facilitation. It would be a greater good to have a rehabilitated SAPS members being a civically contributing member and whistle blower on crime syndicates.

The issues that you are not focussing in are the fact that their culture and traditions they protect one another against anyone who wants to step into their domain.
So they cannot be the right people for the job.
They take sides. Their side their culture against anyone else.
If a person has a high position, he regards himself as King

Ian ,first try to sort this out....I phoned my local police station 5 times and ringing for 10min, without anyone answering.
Now people wonder why no one trust the police.

@@cobus989 the police are too focused on where they can collect tax from drug lords and small businesses. I have seen myself. But if u complain then u are the victim. Shameless rubbishes.
