Back in a different life, when I used to practice boxing. I had a sparring partner that had very good head movement. It was the most frustrating thing ever to spar with him. You can slip body shots. But requires some footwork. Missing body shots suck worse than missing head shots for some reason. Maybe because you’re more dug in.
@@bigheadrhino that's what I'm saying. It takes a lot more movement to get out of the way of the body shot. Obviously you can step back, L step, etc. But, if someone has amazing head work, I'm just saying you're better off going for the body if they're slipping every jab.
@@kenaultman7499 I see, yeah I agree, going for the body is great and not a lot of drawback. There’s the fear of leaving the head open but it’s hard to throw a good punch when your core is locked up from taking a body shot so hitting the body is in itself a kind of defense.

Lek = เล็ก , it means small, tiny or little. That would be his name. as for the "Super" I think it's meant to refer to Superman, using the word super to emphasize his versatility, being the ultimate human being, something like that. Just an adjective for a name. Thai people have a lot of nicknames such as small, big.
Others here have said the same: he is humoring her/ playing her/ letting her get her rhythm for training. At any point a single kick or hit would send her flying back.
Yeah, He is teaching here, but by letting her figure out out without too much pressure. Wish I could get this style of sparring across more at our gym tbh, great way to learn.

Question. I don't practice martial arts, so I wouldn't know, but why do girls practice at gyms for martial arts when they'll never be strong anyway? Seems like a very disheartening waste of effort. Did you ever ask any, and if so, what was their reasoning for participating?
@@galenpemberton4382 I suspect you're not being entirely truthful in your question, but I'm going to answer anyway. From my experience the females who go to a gym have been taught all their life "they can do anything" and have been humored as such. Plus their parents paid for months/years of monthly dues from the dojo. No one ever really had the courage to kick them in the face or otherwise treat them as equals.
@Dan Johnson I wasn't being entirely truthful in my question, as you suspected. Uhh, or I guess I was because I am interested in the psychology of why anyone would participate in something like martial arts when, based on what I hear many men who practice martial arts say, women are so fundamentally weaker that it won't help them in a practical sense anyway against a man. Then I see comments all the time on the webs about how regardless of training women can’t beat men anyway, so I guess I became bitter, since it seemed like… idk… very unfair someone should put so much work in and be rewarded with nothing.
