Omg this helped soooo much!! I had tried to orange concealer but I wasn’t letting it dry first I was just going in with the foundation right after. I’m gonna try this tonight
Your page came up when I searched for color correctors! So happy to have come across this! I’m going to try this soon with the same product thanks to you! I hope you’re doing well!
ahhh! thank you! this comment made me happy lol! but yea until i get my hyperpigmentation evened out, this will be my technique and it hasn't failed me yet lol. Thank you so much for watching! 💕
Perfect!!! I have never had to apply makeup but now that I have hyperpigmentation, I didn’t know how to do my makeup correctly. This was so helpful! Thank you 🙏🏽
Funny, I watched Jackie aina do this who is a most beloved and trusted beauty yt girl but she could not help me as much as you just did!!! Thanks babe. Great video! When you can upgrade your camera quality and zoom in a little more and your set up is PERFECT! Thanks again, for the tutorial.
Thank you so much!! 🙌🏾 I’m so glad I can help! And yes I just started getting paid from YT so I got me a vlogging camera but next is a good sit down camera 👍🏾
I have literally the same issue in the same areas. I’m more warm undertones. Those hyperpignented spots around my mouth are the worst. Thank you so much for the suggestion. I try not to wear too much makeup but as the older I get more hyperpigmented in those areas (cheeks and around my mouth)
Yea I don’t think there’s anything I can do about those areas unfortunately so it is what it is. A lot of people seem to have the same thing in the same areas too so we’re not alone. Thankful for makeup to even out the complexion lol! Glad I could help 😊❤️
@@Teannaschannel girl don't you know I'm gonna try. I won't be as slayed as you but I'll definitely try. Btw, you are gorgeous, even without makeup. 😘😘😘
Thank you! Lately I have been seeing problems in my skiing after I apply my foundation, now I see that color correcting before an fix that. I know you are young, I have mature skin with open pores and wrinkles, can it work for my skin too?
I noticed you didn’t use a concealer.. Why was that? I’m learning make up cause right now I’m going through skin issues. Thanks for this video. Oh, when using the color corrector doesn’t it make a difference what season it is?
I don’t use concealer over the orange because I feel like if I’m not careful, I can risk looking too “cakey” or unintentionally mixing the colors together so that’s just a personal preference but if you can use concealer successfully between the layers of orange and foundation then go for it 🙌🏾 As for the seasons, I live in LA so it doesn’t ever really get cold like that therefore I’m able to do this year-round. If I move somewhere that gets 4 seasons, I’ll have to figure something else out if this stops working for me!
This is only the second video I’ve watched about correcting hyperpigmentation on dark skin. Both video talents say to use orange concealer. I didn’t even know that was an option! I’ve been going about it all wrong. I teach in a virtual environment using Google Meet, so I need to find ways to look better on camera.
Depending upon your skin complexion you use shades of orange. Obviously if you're very fair-skinned you don't want to use a deep orange shade of color correction, it will stick out underneath your foundation. Now if your skin is on the deeper darker range definitely you can use a deeper darker Orange.
hello congratulations for the videos ... I wanted to ask you to cover pigmentation I use orange concealer but when I apply foundation it mixes with concealer and the result is "almost orange face". do you have any tips on how i can go about covering dark spots? thank you
Hi Teanna. Thank you so much for your lovely video. Do you mind if you tell me what's the name of the orange concealer and the foundation ? Because I've melasma on my face especially on my upper lips and I think it'll be perfect if I follow your advice. Once again thank you so much for your help and good luck 👍.
They usually all have a name. I believe this one was called Orange but you can also check for reviews. If I’m questioning a product, I always search to see someone use it who has a similar complexion as me.
It was a complete guess. I got lucky because I had to eyeball it since I wasn’t able to sample in the store. I’m switching foundations tho and will be putting a video up soon once it arrives!
I mentioned in the description the only product I was using was the orange concealer and in the video I mentioned who the concealer was by. Unless you’re referring to the foundation?
When I used to have white patches on my skin I always covered them up using the color of my liquid contour (so a darker color) and then would go over it with my usual foundation color but idk if that will work for everyone 🤷🏽♀️
@@Teannaschannel Black radiance puts the name of their products on the wrapper. So when you take it off you don’t have the name anymore. Wish they put it on the product itself
I don’t remember what I used in the video but someone has asked this before if you want to scroll through the comments. I can tell you that now I use Il Makiage Woke up like this in shade 185 and it’s a PERFECT match!

Thank u so much!! Appreciate the feedback but yes I was making that same mistake at first too!
Thank you
I can't believe for the first time I've found someone with my exact skin tone and skin condition.
🙌🏾 I knew I couldn’t be the only one
My thought exactly…. Like we have this yellow undertone😊
Can I just say… you’re incredibly pretty even before all the color correcting and makeup. 💗
Oh wow 🥺 thank you! 🙏🏾
I literally have the same skin tone and problem areas (mouth and chin) this video was too perfect-subscribed and thank youuu!
Ahh so happy to hear that!! And yea Idk what it is about that area but it’s been like that all my life 🤷🏾♀️

I made the mistake of not letting it dry and once I put foundation on top it would come right off and not cover any dark spots. Thanks for the tips!

Yes in this video I show you what I do to avoid the mixing
You need a normal concealer on top of the colour corrector , then apply foundation to get the best results
Nah, this works for me but thanks 🙏🏾

Hi there! I only know that the brand is Black Radiance. It doesn’t specify the exact color/shade which is unusual but it’s just orange 🤷🏽♀️
@@Teannaschannel Many thanks for your reply. Will try to find that product. Good luck and God bless.

Walgreens or CVS 🙂

i believe it could be but i'm not sure because i can't see your face.

What can I use to cover light spots on my face?
When I used to have white patches on my skin I always covered them up using the color of my liquid contour (so a darker color) and then would go over it with my usual foundation color but idk if that will work for everyone 🤷🏽♀️
@@Teannaschannel thank you 😊
What color corrector did u use?
It’s by Black Radiance but it doesn’t have a name anywhere on it. I think it’s just called “orange”?
Does this work for Asian skin or South Asian
It all depends on the tone of the skin. I recommend finding a video with someone close to your tone to see how they do it.
which color did you use? there called orange more on red and salmon more on orange
I looked at it and it doesn’t say the color name anywhere on it 😕 I think it might just be called “orange” 🤷🏾♀️

Soooo I have been doing this wrong?!!??! I always tried to blend in the color corrector smh.😂🤦🏽♀️
Lol well how does it come out when u do it? Maybe there’s multiple techniques lol
You can definitely smooth it in but not blend it away to oblivion, if that makes sense. 😁
Such great job
Appreciate that! 🙏🏾❤️
thank you❤
No prob! 💜
Thank you
🙏🏾
If you were to use concealer , would you put it on top of the color corrector or on top of your foundation?
If the foundation is liquid, I’d put the concealer on top of my foundation and blend
Beautiful
Thank you 🙏🏾
🥰 wouaouu j'ai aimé très simple pour nous les novices
Happy to hear that! Thank you! 🙏🏾
Every time I use my concealer I feel like I be looking orangey
Is your foundation a buildable coverage? Or full coverage? If not, that could be why 😕
Should you not blend it in first?
It’s not necessary
You should use it on the sides of your nostrils, there's discoloration there too.
I’ll try it, thanks!
We literally have the same name lol I love it! Thank you for finally showing me a better way to hide my scars!🤎🤎🤎
