Thanks for watching but how does the Tahoe RST compare to the Durango SRT and Ford Raptor? Check out this classic TFL Mashup Video: th-cam.com/video/QKE_bRJ8qVE/w-d-xo.html
It's hasn't gotten too expensive, the market has just changed. Tahoes, Expeditions, etc. where once cheaper and the choice of middle-class families, but buyers have shifted to trucks, and also to crossovers, which can not only be had for much less money, they're really better suited for most people who buy them.
Yeah it's crazy how cheap Chinese cars are... There's a Baojun hatchback with push button start, smart-key, 1.5t turbo, back up camera, automatic transmission, turn signal mirrors, sunroof, alloy wheels, apple car play for only $9,000! It's just insane how cheap they are, but they definitely won't be as cheap if they come here...
Use Trollgun 01 I have a good paying job, not the point. Point is Gm is an everyday brand national brand that uses a lot newer more stream lined manufacturing techniques while also using a lot of cheaper made parts from Mexico. This should be helping lower to prices not increasing them every year.. Inflation does not help but that's a whole other matter.
To all the Ford fanboys in here, this is a Chevy video and if you don't like this Tahoe then go watch your little Ecoshit video's, don't be jealous because GM still uses 100% all American made V8's and Ford doesn't.
The eco is more powerful, driven them both... not biased just facts. Gm still uses the same engines because they don’t have the money to do what ford has done...
I don’t really care if it’s v8 or not. I’d take any for engine over the 5.3 because of how damn slow it is. Both ecoboosts and the coyote smoke it and beat the 6.2 as well.
Picked up my black RST Tahoe 2 weeks ago. 3rd 6.2, first 2 in 2010 & 2014 Silverados. Very impressed so far. Good job GM. Oh and with the black one left lane hogs tend to move over promptly, great added benefit.
How is or did your Tahoe do for you? Had an older one but these new ones have horrible reviews over things like ac problems. I hear the 10 spd is good though.
Guys, this is not the first time a Tahoe had a 6.2. Back in 2009 you could get a Tahoe LTZ with the L9H 6.2 with a 6 speed auto. I know this because I own one!
GMC 4 ever I agree, this is their chance to do a 0-60 at low altitude in Texas and another one with the same vehicle at high altitude in Denver a few days later to check the difference.
William Snyder It was originally called a Blazer and then the name got changed to Tahoe, I believe in 1995. I think GM will probably wait and see how the new Ford Bronco sells before GM decides to come out with the 2 door Tahoe again.
There is a RST appearance package and a RST performance package ( 6.2 V8 and 10 speed ) The appearance package is available on the suburban and Tahoe. Note the performance package is only available on the premier trim of the Tahoe and is not available on the suburban
I know it will be said but 75000 dollars is quite a sum of money. These things are huge cash cows to GM. Only a decade ago they were the price of today's mid size (and even some compact) crossovers. Isn't that crazy?
Darius Dennis I don’t know about that man...my mother loves these Chevy Tahoe’s and I remember in 2001my parents bought a brand new Z71 Tahoe and it was $48 or $50k. Then in 2007 they bought an LTZ and that was $60,000. Tahoe’s are sweeeet rides. They were never as cheap as a crossover...maybe a stripped down LT or LS might still cost you $38,000. You can get a lot of vehicle for $38,000.
Tahoes have never been cheap/affordable rides(even if the build quality indicated otherwise). Even back in the 90's-00's a decently equipped Hoe could easily run $50-60k+ in today's money factoring for inflation. I don't disagree that these trucks are way overpriced for what they are, especially the older models with the shitty Fisher Price plastic interiors, but for a top trim Tahoe with the 6.2L engine(same engine that's in the Denali and Escalade), $75k isn't too far fetched.
That's because buyers have shifted to crossovers, which are about 1/2 the cost. People don't want heavy, gas guzzling BOF tanks anymore, they want size but with more refinement and efficiency with car-based CUVs. It's also what manufacturer's would prefer to build. If the wanted to comply with CAFE rules, they needed to market more car-based vehicles.
Im so glad for this truck model. RST is a funny name. Should've just given it the SS treatment. But I am glad they finally gave the truck a 6.2 liter. The 6.2 liter is a corvette engine with a different engine block material(cast iron vs aluminum in the corvette). So it was like a crime that the Silverado, Yukon, and Escalade all got the 6.2 and not the Tahoe. I love how huge the exhaust is. Factory borla exhaust is a must!!!. I want this truck. Bad. MURICA!!!
Note the dealer install Borla has a lighter note than the direct buy from Borla, which is a bit more grumble according to Borla rep I spoke with @ SEMA2017. Use SEMA2017 code @ GMACCESSORIES.com for 15% off thru 12/31/17. Ur welcome. Flow CHEVY had a 20% discount. Waiting for my Gibsons for my 6.2.
So, i am guess the older 6.2 LS3 engines since 2005-2017 (not sure if i put the right LS) were not Direct Injective engines for the 6.2 or 6.0. (Just asking)
Probably because it would have been the most expensive to change. I'm no safety expert, but I bet they would need to re-certify that airbag cover if they did anything like that. Just a guess though.
I'm not sure what the deal is but that charging pad in the center console? Works just fine with my Samsung S8+ so not sure what that's all about. Oh and I do love my RST.
I am so glad that GM finally let Chevy put a 6.2L V8 in the Tahoe, even though the RST package only comes in now 4 colors (Black, Summit White, Silver Ice, and Tungsten Metallic). When I sold Chevys there were some people that wish that there was a 6.2 in the Tahoe so that they didn't have to go to GMC or Cadillac and pay that extra price especially for the Escalade, Tahoes are not cheap either by no means, but there are trucks out there mostly Ford and Ram that are in the 70s now.
Thanks for another informative video. Your point about the fuel mileage is an undisputed truth about many large displacement motors and that is that they can attain acceptable fuel mileage and produce high horsepower. That 6.2 liter engine pumps out over 400 hp and it pushes a heavy 5,000-6000 lb vehicle down the road and achieves better fuel economy and acceleration numbers than my 3.5 liter Tacoma does pushing 4,400 lbs. I'm also pretty sure you can supercharge the 6.2 without losing much fuel economy and have an 550 hp plus. Yes, I want a supercharged V8 in my Tacoma but my bank account says no.
yea 550-600ish with little to no loss in reliability, pretty sure with the 10 speed could adjust the tuning etc and gain a little since factory tunes are not always the best. Same engine puts out 650+ in a corvette and people mod those to get 800+ at the rear wheels, and they are still good for daily drive.
I know the route from Ft Hood, Tx to Denver by heart. For a nice detour slide up to Kenton, Ok to look at Dinosaur tracks. Had a '15 Suburban with 3.08s and thought the upgrade to the '17 Tahoe Z71 with 3.42s was great (better pep in step) but there was a significant gas mileage hit. Would love to test drive an RST.
I hear so much about this Ten speed transmission being "mostly" developed by FORD but what has been kept in the dark is that the company ACER was actually 90 percent responsible for the 10 speed in the FORD trucks and what GM is using too.
They are making 10 speed transmissions now in regular civilian vehicles that's so stupid that causes more room for errors and ability for something to fail
The Fast Lane Truck I have a GS7 and I have a fast charger. Whenever there is a case with the same thickness as a mophie or an otterbox it doesn't work so that must be some charger
Jack bron i just picked up an 18 sierra I have the note 8 in a wallet case and mine charges even tho it don't sit flat against the wireless charger in the truck
A suburban with the 5.3 V8 is not terribly slow. It still has plenty of passing power and tows my 3200lb boat with ease. Just because there is an option for a larger engine does not mean the standard engine is inadequate.
You beat me to it! I sold Chevrolet in 2009 and I remember it being an option. Same on the Suburban. Obscure and rare, but the 6.2 was optional. TFL is usually pretty good with their fact checking. Surprised they missed that one.
I could buy two ram 2500 4x4 tradesman trucks for the price of one RST Tahoe. Ya I know the ram's have 6.4 hemis which are in my opinion only, a little over-rated on performance compared to the 6.2 chevy. But the new ram 2500 4x4 has a beefy suspension which you can really appreciate off road. Unless you have wheelbarrows full of money to pay for the Chevy, and depending where you live, buying one of these could be like buying property or even a house. After lic, reg., and taxes, your looking at $1300.00 a month payment; that doesn't include insurance. Besides, it's too pretty to treat it like I would any of my ranch vehicles.
That's true, besides the high monthly payment by the time you finish paying it off the truck will probably be worth around 30k or less. I don't know I mean there's people who can afford it but personally I wouldn't buy car brand new off the lot. I've always settled for something a little older and cheaper.
I think GM really needs to look into developing a 3 tier engine option list that involves 3 v8 engines, a new turbocharged ecotec 4.8L V8, the NA 6.2L V8, and a twin turbo 5.3L V8. The TT 5.3 with the 10 speed would makes this RST sooo much better.
Tell me why chevy is so scared to give the Tahoe so real horsepower? Why 420hp ? Why not 500hp ? Lead the class for a change instead of making your customers go to tuners ...
Wrong guys, there was a 6.2 liter option in 2009. I appreciate your channel though, it’s hard to keep up with all the nit noid things over the years, so I forgive you...
I don't think it should be anything special just like it looks. The 6.2 belongs in suvs and trucks. They should've supercharged the 6.2 and thrown it in the Tahoe and Silverado and made them SS trucks. Throw a twined 3.6 in the impala like the xts while they are at it and make another SS and same setup in the canyon and Colorado and that would bring back the syclone. They would need other upgrades and cosmetic changes as well but come on GM you are better than that..
The interior is exactly the same minus some Denali stitched in badging on the headrest and the look of the grille on the front is subjective for each person, they both look nice.
Being that the RST is sort of an à la carte option package, I think people will find themselves in one more often. If you dont want the premium trim level, dont want the 6.2, dont want the magnetic ride, or the big brakes, it's all optional and that is what I like most about the RST. You can have any flavor you want from mild to wild or (relatively) inexpensive to expensive.
And I will buy the new Tahoe rst even though it doesn't have an rst logo on it you got to do it for Dale just spray paint one on the side jackwagon if you're that worried about it
GM needs to offer the 6.2 in a Z71 Suburban. Tahoe is a half-size too small for real family duties. And my family actually lives in the sticks, so a street-biased performance version is useless. I need the airdam deleted, more ground clearance, and functional skidplates.
The Mexican kids here in South Texas already paint the badges black on the ghetto dropped pick up chevys...they are probly going to start saying they drive RSTs...
My 17 High Country 6.2L averaging 22 MPG and it's only the 8 speed thought 10 speed with more gears would be better so in other words more gears didn't help just saying.
aag318504 Maybe so but It didn't improve MPG and certainly the cost to upgrade isn't impressive. So my opinion says 2 extra gears not worth the price that was supposed to improve MPG among other things.
Anthony Macneil most people who have $70k to blow on a truck probably aren't worried about mpg. Plus no gain in mpg to get rid of the awful 8 speed is well worth the cost.
The Expeditions top of the line motor with 400hp and 480tq is quite comparable to these trims Ford just needs to add a trim (like a TRS trim lol) with bigger brakes and magnaride really and they are all set lol. they are all great vehicles though.
The 6.2L was optional in the 2009 Tahoe and should have stayed an option. Why GM thinks the 6.2L is so special that they need to keep it away from people is something to be figured out.
I'm sure I'll see lots of these at used car dealers for like 25-30k in a couple years. People will buy them, drive them hard for a couple years, then be like WTF did I buy this and trade it in on something more practical.
New SUV prices are so ridiculous! Huge design flaw with the wireless charging on GM. The Tahoe RST does have a nice look and the 6.2 was a much needed power plant for those who actually want to haul the whole gang and gear with one rig.
Thanks for watching but how does the Tahoe RST compare to the Durango SRT and Ford Raptor? Check out this classic TFL Mashup Video: th-cam.com/video/QKE_bRJ8qVE/w-d-xo.html
WTF chevy and not being able to charge IPHONE plus or any big phone.
The Fast Lane Truck hey about the phone charger i dont think it charges the phone with the phone case on.
Eric Fox Roman said he tried with it off as well with no luck.
Alan Bowers him well gm better look into that. Being as phone are getting bigger
can u review a tacoma
These prices for new vehicles have gotten way out of hand. Way *too expensive.
It's hasn't gotten too expensive, the market has just changed. Tahoes, Expeditions, etc. where once cheaper and the choice of middle-class families, but buyers have shifted to trucks, and also to crossovers, which can not only be had for much less money, they're really better suited for most people who buy them.
I agree 100%.

Zekester
Trucks and SUV's were never cheap, get over it or get a better job so you can afford them.

MRO I own a Toyota Tacoma 🤷🏼♂️ got a good deal on it. I have a landscape truck with the lq4 in it as well but no fords currently.
I don’t really care if it’s v8 or not. I’d take any for engine over the 5.3 because of how damn slow it is. Both ecoboosts and the coyote smoke it and beat the 6.2 as well.

Roger Bates why I love black Tahoe's people sometimes think you're a cop lol.
Gone through a tank yet? What kind of mileage. Good point about the black.
How is or did your Tahoe do for you? Had an older one but these new ones have horrible reviews over things like ac problems. I hear the 10 spd is good though.
1:45 if I’m not mistaken, the 2009 tahoe LTZ could come with a 6.2L but those were pretty rare
Guys, this is not the first time a Tahoe had a 6.2. Back in 2009 you could get a Tahoe LTZ with the L9H 6.2 with a 6 speed auto. I know this because I own one!
The GMT900 Tahoe was available with the 6.2L one year, 2009 only. They are rare as hell, and command a premium over 5.3 models.
rcairforceone less than 700 made if I remember correctly
I own one, and from my understanding only 620, 2009 tahoes had the 6.2. I'll never part with mine
why you didn’t do a 0 to 60 ?
GMC 4 ever I agree, this is their chance to do a 0-60 at low altitude in Texas and another one with the same vehicle at high altitude in Denver a few days later to check the difference.
GMC 4 ever مالك دخل امزح امزح يجيبها من 6.3 ثانيه انت وين ما اروح القاك
منصور المنصور 😂😂😂😂بالعكس جابها ب٥.٧ ثواني
I like that you're still doing reviews because I bought my 2014 Explorer Sport based on your reviews. Keep it up TLF!
I wonder if GM will ever bring back the 2-door Tahoe and offer the 6.2 V8?
Roy Giller isn't that called a blazer? I doubt it because of they very limited market.
William Snyder It was originally called a Blazer and then the name got changed to Tahoe, I believe in 1995. I think GM will probably wait and see how the new Ford Bronco sells before GM decides to come out with the 2 door Tahoe again.
That would be cool
I believe they added the rear doors and then called it Tahoe. I believe the two door version was blazer.
Roy Giller Did anyone by a bronco?
YES TFL!!! THE CLASSIC ROMAN AND NATHAN CAR REVIEW!! Does Nathan fit?
Have you guys ever driven a diesel suburban?
But the suburban RST doesn’t have an optional 6.2 UGH
There is a RST appearance package and a RST performance package ( 6.2 V8 and 10 speed )
The appearance package is available on the suburban and Tahoe. Note the performance package is only available on the premier trim of the Tahoe and is not available on the suburban
That thing is awesome but way too much money. I want the Tahoe Custom with a 6.2 for under 50k thanks.
I'm guessing you have to press a button to turn the wireless charging on, like in other cars with the Qi system.
How could it not be "Rally Sport Tahoe"
yzsage moto chevy tahoe rally sport tahoe??
Chevy tahoe rally sport truck sounds better
0:21 "how can you tell the difference" in my head, them big ass red calipers and rims I never seen on a Tahoe before
I know it will be said but 75000 dollars is quite a sum of money. These things are huge cash cows to GM. Only a decade ago they were the price of today's mid size (and even some compact) crossovers. Isn't that crazy?

10 years ago GM was in their "funk". You really can't even compare them now.
TheNugler what on earth was optioned with that? MSRP was no more than $34-35k. My family bought a 98 Suburban new for like $34k.
Im so glad for this truck model. RST is a funny name. Should've just given it the SS treatment. But I am glad they finally gave the truck a 6.2 liter. The new truck engines have cast aluminum blocks now as well
Sean Taylor They do? Oh right good point you can see that whenever they do engine bay clips
So, i am guess the older 6.2 LS3 engines since 2005-2017 (not sure if i put the right LS) were not Direct Injective engines for the 6.2 or 6.0. (Just asking)
All black badges...but the one on the steering wheel you see the most wasn’t changed. Seems like a huge oversight GM.
Talking about performance. What is the difference between the 2018 Escalade? Happy holidays
Well when Regency did the Silverado's, it was Regency Sport Truck. I don't know if its in homage to that.
The last gen Tahoe came available with 6.2 liter V8 in I think 2009. Very rare combo but it did exist.
I wonder if I can get this engine and transmission and put it in my 04 Silverado.
Ryan Moody it would fit, but the engine mounts are farther foward on the LT then on the LS engine
Those tires look like they won't last long. Very informative video. Good work (as always!).
Do you think Chevy will bring this trim back for future generations of Tahoes?
Thanks for another informative video. Your point about the fuel mileage is an undisputed truth about many large displacement motors and that is that they can attain acceptable fuel mileage and produce high horsepower. arbiter1 ummm ya it’s isn’t the same engine in the corvette.
Kristopher Klassen
it is the same as the corvette, just different Intake, Cam and tune
arbiter1 this isn’t the lt4 out of the corvette.
Tyler Clark corvette hss a LT1 as well
I know the route from Ft Hood, Tx to Denver by heart. For a nice detour slide up to Kenton, Ok to look at Dinosaur tracks. I have yet to hear yall say in any videos what the rear end ratio is in any of the vehicles reviewed
I covered up my yellow steering badge with a black overlay.
I hear so much about this Ten speed transmission being "mostly" developed by FORD but what has been kept in the dark is that the company ACER was actually 90 percent responsible for the 10 speed in the FORD trucks and what GM is using too.
It's pretty bad when my v6, awd terrain (which is smaller) gets the same mpg figures...
They are making 10 speed transmissions now in regular civilian vehicles that's so stupid that causes more room for errors and ability for something to fail
6 was perfect 8 is pushing it but 10?
$78k for a Tahoe or $72k for a GMC Denali HD with the Duramax? Idk why anyone would spend that money for a Tahoe.
stayunique91 that’s the truth 👍
Yup.. I'd rather have a Duramax. Then I'd have 2
The breaks and transmission is what makes it so much
Tahoe is a 3-row SUV and the Sierra is a truck. I dont know why people compare unlike items...
stayunique91
Why do people like you always come up with terrible comparisons?
How can you not include the hotel room? Or the food cost of 6 meals over the two days?
It isn't working on your phone because you have that case on it. The connection can't occur because of the plastic case
Nope, the case does not matter when charging.
The Fast Lane Truck I have a GS7 and I have a fast charger. Whenever there is a case with the same thickness as a mophie or an otterbox it doesn't work so that must be some charger
The 8Plus is too big. Misstep on chevy’s part for not considering that so many people have the larger phablet phones.
Jack bron i just picked up an 18 sierra I have the note 8 in a wallet case and mine charges even tho it don't sit flat against the wireless charger in the truck
Great vid. Did you guys film in front of a police station? LoL lots of cops driving by in this vid.
3.23 like the 6.2 8 sp pickup?
Too often when you shoot an exhaust sound, it's completely distorted.
David Hoover true
doesnt the Denali and escalade have the same 6.2 engine as an option?
No....... the 6.2l comes standard in both Denali and Escalade
Chevy did say that they were gonna offer a suburban rst when they introduced the rst trim
Jorge The beast just a trim tho. no 6.2
A suburban with the 5.3 V8 is not terribly slow. It still has plenty of passing power and tows my 3200lb boat with ease. Just because there is an option for a larger engine does not mean the standard engine is inadequate.
In Funky Town Texas? You guys should have a meet and eat next time
In 2009 you could get a Tahoe with a 6.2
Thanks for the heads-up!
Correct, I had one with the 6 speed. Great truck.
You beat me to it! I sold Chevrolet in 2009 and I remember it being an option. Same on the Suburban. Obscure and rare, but the 6.2 was optional. TFL is usually pretty good with their fact checking. Surprised they missed that one.
L9H option code! I want one so bad
I have one and it's fun as hell to drive, and it's a perfect sleeper. I am currently awaiting tune files from Blackbear to get rid of the 'nannies'
80k worth less 30k after 3yrs
welcome to america
Exactly! This is why I never buy a brand new car or truck off the lot.
With 200000 miles
Are the Tahoe made in the United States the same as those sold in Latin America?
Guys. GM released a RST Suburban along with the Tahoe. No 6.2 though, which is a bummer.
This is rival for the Durango srt?
I could buy two ram 2500 4x4 tradesman trucks for the price of one RST Tahoe. Ya I know the ram's have 6.4 hemis which are in my opinion only, a little over-rated on performance compared to the 6.2 chevy. Not supposed to be a ranch vehicle... It's a premium SUV, so you cant really compare it to a stripper workhorse truck.
That's true, besides the high monthly payment by the time you finish paying it off the truck will probably be worth around 30k or less. I don't know I mean there's people who can afford it but personally I wouldn't buy car brand new off the lot. I've always settled for something a little older and cheaper.
What about the suburban?
Didn’t they have a 6.2 or 6.8 around 06v
You should probably try your phone without the case but I'm surprised that spot is not a lot bigger
Will GM offer this motor in police Tahoes?
I think GM really needs to look into developing a 3 tier engine option list that involves 3 v8 engines, a new turbocharged ecotec 4.8L V8, the NA 6.2L V8, and a twin turbo 5.3L V8. The TT 5.3 with the 10 speed would makes this RST sooo much better.
Collin Favor GM doesn't make the 4.8 anymore
I would like one of these with the ppv package
Tell me why chevy is so scared to give the Tahoe so real horsepower? Why 420hp ? Why not 500hp ? Lead the class for a change instead of making your customers go to tuners ...
Ikr put the supercharger on it
Chevy knows their customers, and knows that a near $3k option for this engine probably isnt going to have a substantial take rate.
Then they should know we want a duramax suburban or Yukon
Matt Ward I completely agree
Matt Ward all 13 of you? Because that makes economical sense...
If you want a suburban or the same thing for years get the Yukon Denali xl
You actually could get a 6.2L in a Tahoe in 2009 it was offered in the LTZ only. They are rare and costly if you can find one with low miles good luck
Wireless Charger works, have to put it in sideways and it’ll charge your 8, mine does
Nice overview guys
I️ hope Chevy puts a supercharged v8 into production one day
Jake Lamb Corvette and Camaro both have one as an option.
Not a Ferrari.... have you ever driven a Ferrari over a bump like that.?
Ranjit Ferrari is far worse when it comes to even small pumps.
THATS WHAT I WAS THINKING
you would either break a magnesium wheel or your spine. lol
Ferraris have a stiff suspension bc they're mostly race cars
Ethan Williamson we’ll ofcourse if they didn’t they would have body roll and wouldn’t stick to the road
It would be better if they just made the 6.2 available in the Tahoe and Suburban in the first place lol
Wrong guys, there was a 6.2 liter option in 2009. I appreciate your channel though, it’s hard to keep up with all the nit noid things over the years, so I forgive you...
" this is the first time you can get a 6.2 in a Tahoe". In 2009 they offered it on the LTZ as an option.
So a non premier Tahoe is pretty much just a regular Tahoe? I think I'd juat go for a Yukon Denali!
The wireless phone charger from GM was out before Apple had it. Im sure they will update their system to fit but GM isn't the problem here.
I’m a chevy guy but I swear gm is so lack luster when it comes to special editions and off road models minus the zr2 of course
They would need other upgrades and cosmetic changes as well but come on GM you are better than that..
comparing this to a denali, people will take the denali over this for better look & interior
mohammadkwt i will take the Tahoe
mohammadkwt 👍
There the same thing
The interior is exactly the same minus some Denali stitched in badging on the headrest and the look of the grille on the front is subjective for each person, they both look nice.
Being that the RST is sort of an à la carte option package, I think people will find themselves in one more often. If you dont want the premium trim level, dont want the 6.2, dont want the magnetic ride, or the big brakes, it's all optional and that is what I like most about the RST. You can have any flavor you want from mild to wild or (relatively) inexpensive to expensive.
Rst has a couple of the same letters as SRT. Guess GM couldnt think of any other letters.....
John Wyskochil only a couple? How bout all of them !!
And I will buy the new Tahoe rst even though it doesn't have an rst logo on it you got to do it for Dale just spray paint one on the side jackwagon if you're that worried about it
Hope they put that engine in the Tahoe Z56 Police Package
Beautiful ride! thanks for the video!!!
YOOOOOOOOO 10 speed transmission 6.2 V8 !!!!! 🤔❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
GM finally offers the 6.2L in the Tahoe... nice. Def a response to Durango SRT!
GM needs to offer the 6.2 in a Z71 Suburban. Tahoe is a half-size too small for real family duties. And my family actually lives in the sticks, so a street-biased performance version is useless. I need the airdam deleted, more ground clearance, and functional skidplates.
How can youu tell? It's the pedal on the right!
Love it super cool package, to bad I won’t be able to justify the price!
the LS6.2 just need a bigger cam in it and Expedition would not keep up
Cool truck I love it
The Mexican kids here in South Texas already paint the badges black on the ghetto dropped pick up chevys...they are probly going to start saying they drive RSTs...
By the way. They do make a suburban rst
GM is never concerned about the small details
My 17 High Country 6.2L averaging 22 MPG and it's only the 8 speed thought 10 speed with more gears would be better so in other words more gears didn't help just saying.
Anthony Macneil the 8 speed is a turd compared to the new 10 speed
aag318504 Maybe so but It didn't improve MPG and certainly the cost to upgrade isn't impressive. So my opinion says 2 extra gears not worth the price that was supposed to improve MPG among other things.
Anthony Macneil most people who have $70k to blow on a truck probably aren't worried about mpg. Plus no gain in mpg to get rid of the awful 8 speed is well worth the cost.
aag318504 Haven't an issue with the 8 speed like I'm hearing great tranny and had the truck for a year.
Anthony Macneil be thankful because there are plenty of people with issues
10 speed?! I still got the 4L80...
Another german, ZF gear box, right?
RST vs Durango SRT please
Bet my ram 1500 still put run it already leaves are yukon in dust
MmmMm RST, SRT.... Wheres that sweet sweet TRS trim ford?
The Expeditions top of the line motor with 400hp and 480tq is quite comparable to these trims Ford just needs to add a trim (like a TRS trim lol) with bigger brakes and magnaride really and they are all set lol. they are all great vehicles though.
El Michoacano srt has as well
The 6.2L was optional in the 2009 Tahoe and should have stayed an option. Why GM thinks the 6.2L is so special that they need to keep it away from people is something to be figured out.
Modern version of the 06-09 Trailblazer SS, with similar performance
I'm sure I'll see lots of these at used car dealers for like 25-30k in a couple years. People will buy them, drive them hard for a couple years, then be like WTF did I buy this and trade it in on something more practical.
I for one commend Chevy for not getting into a hp pissing contest, 420hp is plenty, concentrate on mileage, oh that’s what there doing, good job gm.
New SUV prices are so ridiculous! Huge design flaw with the wireless charging on GM. The Tahoe RST does have a nice look and the 6.2 was a much needed power plant for those who actually want to haul the whole gang and gear with one rig.
Is it bad that I'm listening to Jerry Reynolds while watching this post?
