Great tutorial. I was looking at a great sale on the mini cinch and wondered what size wires - you explained that perfectly. I also saw the reviews that customers said they cut not cinch the wires round and you covered that also.
Thanks! I’m preparing one comparing the regular size to the mini. I’ve had a few people ask me because they don’t know which one would be the best choice. Hope you get one and have fun with it. 🌹
This may be my favorite tutorial to date. ❤. Beautifully done Paula. So many great hints/tips.
I have had a regular Cinch in my craft room for many years. I bought it at a thrift store several years back for next to nothing. This video gives me the inspiration to pull it out and try yo use it. I hope you do the comparison video between the regular and mini someday.
I will compare for sure!
Explicas muy bien......so pretty........love this❤❤❤❤❤❤
You’re welcome!
Thanks for making it look easy...🎉
You’re welcome
PAULA...I love this idea! Absolutely AD😍RABLE!! Thank you so much 🤗for taking the time to do this tutorial and share all your wonderful tidbits of knowledge to make a successful little notebook. I think I am going to add little tabs on each of the sections, won't that be cute! Thank you again! 💖
I thought of adding tabs too!! And a heavy duty acetate cover 🌷
I just bought a mini cinch recently. I found your channel for suggestions on books, papers, and tips. Love the tips regarding the wire bumping against the cinch for a perfect binding. Your books are adorable! I love miniature things! I also love the tip for using index cards for lined paper! Thank you!
You’re welcome, Beth! Have fun with your mini Cinch.
I just came from store with my new mini Cinch, after watching your tutorial I am so excited to use my new machine. I have wanted one for a year and finally got the courage to buy it. You explained everything so perfectly. Thank you.❤
I'm so glad!! I have quite a few of those to make for an incoming craft fair... it's fun! Enjoy your Cinch.
One of the Best Tutorial's I've seen in using the Mini Cinch! Thank you.
You’re welcome!
I recycle as much as i can. So reusing pizza boxes and cereal boxes is my jam.
I use them too! they are good for the mini books for sure, but not sturdy enough for the large ones. 😀
Great video! I bought. Mini cinch and a regular cinch during Christmas time . Just opened the mini and this video is perfect. Very informative and can’t wait to do a notebook. Thanks Paula!
you will enjoy it, I love the mini!
Ordered the mini cinch and sooo excited to try my hand at mini notebooks!! This tutorial explained a lot - thank you!
You’re welcome!
Oh my goodness! I just found you and am so very happy I have. You have awesome projects and you are a super teacher. Thank you. God bless.

Love the Zion book. So inspiring! I have a Cinch so I will get it out to play on this snowy day.
You will love making those.🌷
Absolutely love! Thank you for sharing ❤
Thank you so much. Very useful and detailed video with tips and tricks for someone who just purchased the cinch. I also made a mistake and purchased the wrong size of wires and was not sure which one i had to buy now. I also loved the idea of using postcards! Its perfect for trip related notebooks for someone who loves to make thematic travel journals.
Thanks, Yulia! I’ve made a few with postcards and love them. 🌹
Thanks Paula. Great tutorial, I liked it so much that I treated myself to one 🙂
Good for you!! Have fun
Wow wow wow ❤❤❤❤
Thank you for the awesome tutorial. So helpful. Love watching your videos
Thank you for your words! 😉
These are so cute¡ Thank you, so inspired!
Hope you have fun making these!
I have been wanting to do this I have been thinking about it now it is onthank you Paul
Hope I’ve helped understand how both work. 😉
Thanks Paula!❣️❣️
You’re welcome Marsha!
Great video with hints and tips. It’s a shame you can’t use smaller diameter wires though 🙁
I agree!!
You can actually use smaller or bigger diameters. What you can’t use is one that has a different distance between the wires. That’s why it uses a 2:1. This means two holes in 1 inch.
@@craftingwithpaulaso smaller than 5/8”? That’s great thanks. The more I look the more I think 5/8” is probably good for most things anyway. I’m torn as there’s another small binder I like at a similar price that I’ve used many years ago and won’t be making in bulk so multiple punching isn’t so much of an issue however I like the idea of being able to pull out pegs but don’t like the price of the large Cinch for what I would use it for 😂 Thank you for such detailed and clear videos, they’re very helpful. I’d like to make the odd journal or sketch pad type of book (so not mini books) and maybe a couple of calendars 🤔🤔
Enjoy!@@traceybartlam7737
@@craftingwithpaula just want to say I made a decision and got the mini Cinch thanks to your informative videos, it really helped me decide. I had a quick try today when it arrived - I love it! Thanks for sharing
Great ideas. Thank you!
You’re welcome ☺️
thanks for the tip. i am the one that always cannot cinch the wire round 😂😂
So was I until I figured it out 😀
Thank you for your tutorial,I have a mini cinch it's still in the box now I will get it out and make some books. It would also be great to make calendars for next year. Thank you. 🇬🇧
You’re welcome!
It would be nice to show how did you cut the index card and what you use to cut it? Thanks its a great idea to use index cards.
Wow thank you that was the best tutorial on the mini could you also do one on the original size as well?
I’m preparing a video with a comparison and pros and cons of each. 😉
Just came across this. Have been wondering the mini Cinch. I have the full size one, and really like it, but wondered about the mini for smaller projects. Now you said you can only use 5/8" wires on this. Have you tried smaller wires, like 1/2"? Just wondered. Thank you for sharing.
You do such an awesome work on those❤, I just purchased the mini cinch the other day and my first mini notebook!! How much would a large notebook go for , like 8 1/2 by 11, I have my first buyer and have no idea how much I should charge. Thank you so much
Here I charge around $8 😉
What kind of paper is that? The ones with the designs?
Love those!!! How much would you sell these for?
$6-$7
Excellent tutorial! Do you prefer rubber cement Paula?
I don’t know what that is 😉
thanks for this! do you use a ream cutter to cut the cover and pages or just a regular paper cutter? thank you
Just a regular paper trimmer 👍🏻☀️
Beautiful. How you made the 4 holes in the one with the sticker Love You? I want to make one of these.
I made a video about that because I get this question often, hope it helps you: t.ly/OB6_N
So cute and thank you what’s the biggest size you can make with the mini cinch ?
There isn’t really a limit, but you would have to punch over and over again. It punches six holes at a time. If you want to make large notebooks, I would suggest you buy the regular size cinch.
@@craftingwithpaula thank you 😊
@@craftingwithpaula I make 8 1/2 x 11 with the mini cinch all the time. It's very easy.
can you make these on the big cinch
Sure!
The sad thing is when you make your first one, yippee im going to make hundreds more. Its addictive 😅😅😅😅
100% agree except for the “sad” part 🤩😂
Excellent. Thank you. What method do you use for cutting the notecards in half? Do you cut them individually or at one time. Was wondering if I needed to invest in a guillotine.
Do buy a guilhotine or paper trimmer depending on how many you plan to make. Cutting the paper is the most time consuming, so get a good one. The Martin Yale guilhotine is great, take a look of other options on my Amazon storefront: www.amazon.com/shop/craftingwithpaula/list/1ZZ2GYDZLY7YW?ref_=cm_sw_r_cp_ud_aipsflist_aipsfcraftingwithpaula_JDK46PKWFFK8W4M40ZFQ
@@craftingwithpaulaI spent days researching and I purchased a 15x15 guillotine by Xacto. I just received it and going to start cutting my index cards 🤞 hopefully this works
Amazon sells 3x2.5 index cards.
Love the tutorial!!! How did you make the book with only 4 wires? Can you let me know how to punch only 4 holes 😀
Check at the end of the week because I’m going to have a complete comparison between the mini cinch and the regular sized one.
Just place the middle of the page in the center of the cinch ruler at its base.
@@craftingwithpaula thank you, still not sure how to have the extra space on the left and right of the wire when you only have 4. If I centre the paper it always punches the 6 holes if my paper is 3” across.
@@heatherparsons1310 send me an email, I will answer there with a quick explanation or video: craftingwithpaula@gmail.com
If you dont mind me asking, how much would you charge for the mini notebooks at a craft fair? Btw awesome video
Hi Arlene, I charge between 5 and 7 dollars 😉
how did you only get 4 holes in the one bound on top?
By centering the paper. Just mark the center and place it in the center underneath the Cinch, it has a mark at the bottom.
How much do you sell for?
$6 :)
