  • WHAT. A. DRIVE. Bulgaria is Amazing! between two cities less than 3 hours apart there are so many things to see. On our way from Plovdiv to Veliko Tarnovo we explore a recently discovered Thracian tomb, drive right up to Bulgarias UFO (The Buzludzha Monument) and freeze while at the Monument of freedom, Bulgaria which has a vantage point that can see for miles and miles around!
    We didn't expect much from a relatively short drive and were SO surprised about how much we could pack into this day! If you're planning on a Bulgaria road trip please do the drive between these two cities! so much to see!!
    Thanks for watching!

    We were at the UFO monument in April and it was also freezing. No one else there though. It was foggy so some unreal photos. The road up is not the best but some of the scenery with the trees are simply beautiful

    The Buzludzha monument is being repaired and is safe to enter inside. Not entirely renovated, there is still a lot of work to be done, but it is open for tourists now.

    That was nice video :) Shipka monument is in the same place, where Bulgarian and Russian troops holds this mountain passage against overwhelmed Osman forces. That helpet alot in the war. The rocks where Jordan walks is the part of that defending position :)

    The communist monument is surreal. If they renovated it (and removed all the communist propaganda) it would actually be a really cool attraction with amazing views as Emily said, that would draw tons of tourists. Sort of like the Space Needle in Seattle. On the other hand, it is part of Bulgaria's history, so perhaps they should leave it as is... I think they should rennovate it personally.

    • @JordanandEmily
      @JordanandEmily  ปีที่แล้ว

      Completely agree, it's positioned in such a cool place! Would make for an epic restaurant!

    "The Ghost of Buzludzha" (English subtitles). A reporter from the bulgarian Nova TV goes to the Bulgarian ex-communist party monument and tracks out the stages from the idea of its creation through construction, opening and present state. The video reveals many facts about this monumental building: th-cam.com/video/-81Z0SAYRlA/w-d-xo.html
