Jimmy’s brain should studied. It’s like a constantly updated encyclopedia, dictionary-not to mention all religions, philosophy etc etc etc. truly amazing gift!!!
I found Jimmy's take on the Netflix question underwhelming. In viewing something, nobody's OWNERSHIP in the proper sense of the word is infringed. Copyright is in a different moral category than ownership of actual things. If I have a chair and a guest sees it, then makes a copy of the chair for them to use, I have no right to ask money from them, even if I'd have "lost a sale" in the event in which the guest wanted a chair that looked like mine so badly that if he were forcefully prevented from copying it by the state, he'd buy it from me. So if Terms of Service are not binding on your conscience (which they're not) then go ahead and use a VPN for netflix.
There are no coincidences. No not everything is a sign, but at the same time, we are surrounded by pagans so to understand what's happening its a good things to know Thy Enemy and how THEY see certain events. Sadly I've needed that insight. I do wish the chirch would open its eyes.
Run to Our Lady and hang on. I know sometimes it sounds trite, but she's always got her arms open to catch us. Pray your Rosary every day. Pray for Jesus to cleanse His Church so that it has the ears to listen to those it is ignoring. You'll be in my prayers today.😊
The recent view that genesis 1-11 is a different genre than the rest of the book is really annoying to me. I haven’t seen anyone point out how they can back up this claim grammatically, historically, or traditionally.

On the "traditionally" part, Saint Augustine the doctor of the Church took the view there were not really 7 days of creation, they were an allegory for the creation that actually took a single moment. So from this we can deduce that it is traditional to recognize multiple different genres within Genesis (in the case of Saint Augustine, allegory and history). Yes he didn't draw the line at chapter 11, as the church does today (Humani Generis), but the notion that there is more than one genre is traditional.
My husband and I had this same question about VPNs when we lived in Germany and used them to watch netflix, etc. Good practical question.

What does a person with no family left do when their soul is in danger ans the church isnt even open to listening...?

Talk to Jesus and listen to what he says to you in return. Allow the Mother of Jesus to comfort you. She is the Mother of us all.

They most definitely don't have history or tradition on their side.
