    Hey Tyler Angel Perdomo will be rehabbing from injury this year but you're correct he does have a lot of upside and will be in the mix but wont be until next year most likely

    The Braves are soooo deep in pitching! The potential of those would be starters - Ynoa - We've seen what he can bring and it was very good before he messed up his hand on a locker. Can you imagine how much he regrets that moment? It's been ages ago. Ian Anderson - World Series experience and top half starter potential! The guy was great and is still so young!!! AJSS - Showed flashes of brilliance last year...enough that he was included on the playoff roster. A future starter for sure if he progresses like we think he will. Vine, Dodd, Winans we've seen these guys pitch for the Braves with flashes of success! Each has 5th starter potential!
    As far as relievers - Stephens, Lee, and Hernandez have all pitched great at times in relief for the Braves with Dylan Lee having some exceptional outings! So many other guys on the list that I, and many of you, are wondering who the heck is he?!
    The Braves are DDEEEEEEEPP with pitching potential and future stars in waiting! It's kinda amazing that there are ALL OF THESE 18 GUYS after all of the guys on THE LIST that are pretty much expect to make the Braves opening day roster! OMG! I'm lovin' the options and depth!!!! =(:^)-

    Tyler MLB rules prohibit having more than 13 pitchers on the roster. I think teams might be able to have less than 13 pitchers but 13 is the maximum unless one of the 14th pitcher is a two-way player like Ohtani because he also counts as a hitter. As far as pure pitchers go I believe the maximum is 13. I think that's a dumb rule myself though. I think teams should be able to have as many if any player they want as long as they only have 26 players. I think MLB has institutionalized a rule that prevents teams from having more than 13 pure pitchers to start the season though.
    A couple other things regarding Reynaldo Lopez, Joe Jimenez and Luis Guillermo. All 3 of those players are on fully guaranteed major league contracts. They basically have to make the team. The Braves already guaranteed Lopez a 3-year $30M MLB contract and he cannot be sent down to the minors without his permission at any point. So for Lopez to not make the team the Braves would have to eat $30M and flat out release him. Reynaldo Lopez was the Braves biggest free agent acquisition this entire offseason. He's guaranteed a roster spot and he will either be a high leverage reliever or possibly even a starter. Zero chance the Braves leave him off the 26-man roster. That would be the biggest waste of $30M they just spent because they would have to release him.
    Simliar situation with Joe Jimenez. The Braves just signed Jimenez to a guaranteed $26M Major League contract. If he doesn't make the team they have to eat all that money. Zero percent chance the Braves just paid Jimenez $26M to release him and make him a free agent after Spring Training.
    Luis Guillermo is also on a fully guaranteed major league contract. It's for a salary a little less than $2M so if he's really terrible in the Spring I guess it's possible they just eat that money and release him but that's what they would have to do.
    All these guys would have to become free agents to not make the team and the Braves just guaranteed them a combined $57M that they would still have to pay if they didn't make the team. I think Kelenic and Elder likely both make the active 26-man roster but technically those two can still be sent down to the minors.

    I think Fletcher and Guillorme would be a bit redundant depending on the number of open bench spots. I believe Fletcher hasnt accrued the service time to force his way onto the big league roster so he may be stashed in the minors just in case but he does have a pretty hefty contract so that could force the Braves hand in that sense.

      I don’t disagree. But, with how little we know about everyone else…it’s tough to know what they’ll do in Sprint Training. I think Guillerme and Fletcher were the easy choices because of the experience.

    I don't think Kyle Wright is going to reach free agency after next season. Is he? I'm pretty sure the Braves had team control over him at least through the 2025 season if not longer. Does anyone know?

    • @BravesOnDeck
      @BravesOnDeck  11 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I misspoke, he's a free agent in 2027. Either way, it's a solid move to remove the cost of Wright.

    Angel Perdomo is out all year from TJ. Murfee is out until at least the All-star break so he and Ian are on similar timelines.

      @@BravesOnDecktrue. I’m excited for him tbh. I also thought the most pitchers a team can have is 13? Or did I just make that up lol

    • @BravesOnDeck
      @BravesOnDeck  11 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      If that's a rule, I missed it. Which, is possible. I figured a team could mix and match as they pleased. But, if not... I still think there's far more competition in the bullpen, than there are for bench spots.@@danielfowler9553

    Why we keep F'n with Jessie I'll never get...i understand his numbers overall (using all other years & teams besides Atlanta) aren't that great...but when a guy does exactly what you ask of him every time he's on your team (aka our Braves), you keep him...the numbers elsewhere are irrelevant. Winners help make other players winners...anyone who's played baseball, especially a little higher level ball knows this is a thing...Bring Jessie back

    I like Chris Sales but I am a little concerned about his history of injuries. I hope he can pitch the entire and be healthy especially the postseason. I don't know what it is about struggling against Philadelphia in the postseason. It has been 3 times in postseason that the Braves lose to Philadelphia. Once in the 90's and 2 years in a row.

      It's the long lay off for winning the division. Teams play 162 and barely have a day off all year long, then give the "winner?" a 5 day lay off right before the most important time of the year?!!! CraZy! It's no wonder Both the Braves and Dodgers have barely hit the last two playoffs with that long of a layoff. It's hard to keep your groove of facing 95+ heat and 18" breaking stuff when you are forced to wait for your opponent to finish there first round games.
      I thought for sure MLB would fix that, or make some kind of modification, but they didn't! So, don't be surprised if it happens again to some division winning team this year too.

    Sorry, but Jared Schuster is not a great prospect. He showed that last season.

    • @BravesOnDeck
      @BravesOnDeck  11 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      I think he still had value, not all prospects turn out great. But, the fact that he was a first round pick... he still had value. And to my point, more than anyone else in the Bummer trade.
