    "This Forester started life in the XT trim..." (shows us a picture of non-turbo XS model) for shame! other than that, there are a few bits off this FXT i'd want on my own '04. I already have a built motor in mine with a VF48 making 312hp and 360tq, really need that 6spd though.

    Nice edit. I’m entertained and informed. Great build

    I just blew up my XT. 04 in the same color as this build. I was pondering what to do with it, then I came across a fresh built STI short block. My mind was made up at that point..... ForeSTI it.

    Awesome edit. Sick whip! So clean and functional. I have a stock 04 XT, came here looking for suspension upgrade inspiration… got more inspiration than I bargained for. Thanks

    I love this build. I have a 2008 foz xt sports, which is the facelifted version of the same car. I've been slowly doing stuff to it and will probably do a swap on it down the line.

    That Subaru has beautiful paint, looks like the owner knows how to detail a car.

      He’s very meticulous, owns a couple other cars and each on of them is damn near show room condition.

      Did you have to swap the front sub frame?

    • @AHavoc907
      @AHavoc907 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@celtic125434849 Yeah, the front and rear sub frame had to be swapped out in order to use the STI suspension and steering components. The easiest way is to have a wrecked donor car or something you can get the parts from.

    • @chrisguzman7926
      @chrisguzman7926 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      how much would it cost for just the engine and transmission? or would I need to swap suspension as well for the swap

    • @AHavoc907
      @AHavoc907 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@chrisguzman7926 It all depends on the build you want to do. The cheapest and easiest way is to use an STI engine and the 04 STI 6 speed transmission and rear diff so you don't have to change out any suspension components like the wheel hubs. iWire does wiring harness conversion kits depending on what ECU you want to use. If you already have the parts for the cheaper option, I'd guesstimate maybe $2k-$4k worth of labor. If you wan to do the complete conversion, expect to pay $6k-$10k in labor alone. It gets cheaper if you DIY.

    Nice build, needs some Group N engine mounts to go with the others judging by the wobble on the engine when revving. Might be time to source JDM black centre console trim or paint the existing champagne gold to black.

      it's simple if you buy the harness - to try and re-pin the connector is a nightmare. Check-out "Aarons Subie Electronics" and another TH-cam vid done by "Cars by Cody" .... that vid will step you through it.

    • @ColinsplatvonzipperAngus

      1. Find a wrecked STI
      2. Remove parts
      3. Install on said Forester 🤘
      Have a blast creeping the streets.
