NiGHTS should just have a New game altogether, Or at least a Mobile Port (Like a bunch of the best em ups, Sonic 1-CD, Crazy Taxi, ECT.)
Ariem's design also had a few references to NiGHTS, particularly her Concept Art, which had a Gem similar to the one on NiGHTS' Chest
Overall, I just think it would have been a good way to tie the two series together.
Because self-crossovers aren't always obligatory? Or you misspelled "Illumina"? Who might actually have been suggested in reference to the ones who created Ariem (remember, Illumina's a composite being, made from Lumina, Void and several other dream aspect representations who we don't know)?
Is no one gonna talk about the fact that this video's conversation between Chariii and Soul Chariii (that's how I like to call his supportive clone, who's always trying to cheer him up) has been, as far as I remember, the first one that's ended on a positive note? I'm so happy he's finally pulling himself out of that dark place... :)

As far as I'm aware, neither Sonic Team nor Hardlight actually animated their own cut scenes.
I know Hardlight definitely didn't, there's another studio credited, but their name escapes me currently.
I'm just glad Cream had a role in this one.

Isn't that just a persona that's an anthropomorphic animal? I don't think genetics is Robotnik's specialty. Unless they introduce an evil geneticist who teams up with Eggman. Yet only the human population would be in danger considering that Sonic and friends are already anthropomorphic animals.

I'd honestly say Sage is my favorite because she's shown to actually be Recurring for the most part. We haven't had an actual recurring character for a very long time, and it's a nice change for this franchise.
When you think about it, we got Sage, Trip and Ariem all in the span of a year and out of the 3 of them Sage is my favorite as well, glad Eggman finally got his Bowser Jr. but lets not forget others such as Scratch & Grounder, Metal Sonic, the E-Series Robots, Orbot & Cubot, Etc.

@@aidanhammans9337 my guess is Sage will be second in command now (we are talking about an AI that was able to control Titans and Eggman is clearly proud of her) as for metal sonic, Sage asked Eggman if that metal was her brother and he basically said yes so i imagine both will be working together like siblings
I like sage and all and I agree she should return but.....what shows she is returning? We don't see her in prime nor this which is CONFIRMED to take place after frontiers (one of many of my prime complaints)
@@bbguy2245 Prime is confirmed to take place sometime after Advance 3. Where exactly after is anyone's guess but Frontiers is confirmed to be the most recent canonical story to happen so Prime takes place before it. My guess is Prime takes place sometime after Unleashed and before Colors due to Orbot and Cubot's presence in the show.

Also, not that I’m complaining but what’s up with Rouge being part of Team Sonic lately? First Sonic Prime and now here. I like Rouge I just think she should be a Team Dark exclusive. Like the Chaotix. We at least should be able to play as Shadow.
And before you counter that Team Rose clearly fell apart after Heroes. Big is a side character and this is the first time Cream and Cheese have been seen in over a decade.

Well, I think the simple answer is they wanted a player counterpart to Knuckles and Rouge just happened to be the perfect fit.
I'm glad you pointing out Amy's lack of hammer usage outside Murder or Sonic has become a problem. It also strips her of individualistic gameplay, she's either girl Sonic or her hammer abilities are reskinned into other moves. Even in superstars it was all about her double jump not really the hammer, it makes little impact on her in contrast to how the double jump helps her.
That's like if Knuckles just started using the master emerald to do things like glide or dig, rather than a core part of his character being utilized in gameplay. It feels like her having a hammer is just there to show she has one.
Amy's older playable appearances utilized the hammer more...
(Adventure series, Heroes, Advance series, Boom series...)
**sigh** I'm sorry, but if Amy had the Advance gameplay here or Superstars (or rather in general), she would have to compete and lose against characters who have obvious advantages over her. I rather Amy be defined on what she CAN do over what she can't, because this only tells us that Amy is completely worthless because she can't do this and that. Dream Team could easily retcon the hammer out of the game given that it's a physical item and this is a dream, giving her an excuse to use her quills to attack (I don't believe that she'd be completely defenseless without it, she's not Boom Amy who constantly relies on the damn thing).
"Poor little Dreamweaver" - also one of the things Adobe could've said after acquiring Macromedia years ago. ;)
If this game gets a port, let's hope they don't pull a Sonic Colors Ultimate.

Wait so if this takes place in the land of dreams where on Sonic's green hill knockoff is Illumina, you know the GODDESS OF DREAMS. You would think a threat in the dreamworld would have her be involved.
That’s the thing, the Reverie might not be connected to everything else, or Eggman might not actually be a threat to the dreamworld, causing Illumina to not get involved.
True but it is a shame though that we didn't get to see her again. I feel like with this game they could have at least left an Easter egg of her so she isn't just stuck to that one party game we don't talk about. Although if she talked she might have peaked my poor phone's speakers

1 of the thing it bugs me is Rouge's voice direction, even in the TailsTube recent episode Sega uploaded her voice doesn't go weirdly high pitch
I can compare it best to Morrigan's(Darkstalkers) voice. They both sound similar and have similar tones.

Well, this isn't the type of game that would have micro-transactions, but if it wasn't on Apple Arcade it would absolutely be stuffed full of ads. Having to pay upfront for a mobile game just doesn't work anymore these days.

You say that about Eggman, but Eggman and Sonic have a mutual relationship. Sonic won't let Eggman hurt his friends and stops him, but realizes he gets to have crazy adventures because of him. While Eggman hates Sonic for halting his plans, but realizes he is the final obstacle to victory. They have a respect for one another and that's why when faces with overwhelming odds they will work together without stabbing one another in the back.
Also, I've looked at your after credit skits and hadn't said anything because I figured they were just showing your hesitation in an entertaining manner for the audience, but I feel I need to say this: Its okay to doubt yourself every now and then, it helps keep you consciously aware of your flaws and where to improve, but you shouldn't hesitate to smile at a job well done. Yes, you could always have done more, but be glad of what you HAVE done. From this one though, it sounds like you'll be fine, but I just felt the need to say something.
Referring to the start of the video, I've already seen Project Shadow 4 times and it's absolutly amazing! That being said, Charri, I never realized YOU were the one voicing Gerald Robotnik! That explains why their voice seemed kinda familiar lol.

My answer to question at end of video: it’s differently Sage. Giving Eggman a daughter and actually effectively implementing that idea is great. I cannot wait to see her dynamic with more characters and how her role will grow. But, I also really like Barry and hope he isn’t just a one note character. I kind of want him to be a newer Big the Cat, where every time we see him he’s working a new mundane job.

To answer the Question on the Endslate, I think Sage has a lot of Potential, but Barry was really hilarious! So it has to be one of the two...
Trip was kinda cool, but I feel like they didn't do anything with her in the grand scheme of things...
Like, she feels like too big of a Role for too small of a Story.
Ariem is kinda just there, like the story kinda just happens around her... Everything interesting about her is in the barely explored backstory, so it's tough to really get invested.
Meanwhile, Sage is just such a Fleshed out Character already, with a lot of ways to grow, either as a right hand to Eggman, or as (ironically) a human bridge between Sonic's and Eggman's views...

Cream doesn’t just use Cheese in the advance games she also uses the little guy in Sonic Heroes if you lose Big and Amy and she’s the only playable character. Thought you might find that interesting

I think my new favorite Sonic characters are Trip and Sage. They're probably some of the most influential and unique characters in a while, in my opinion.
When you talked about the film my thought before watching was "get my emotions destroyed in the middle of the night, sure why not", and it is a good film. Seeing Shadow before the attack, how life was on the Ark and Dr.Gerald's mindset before the grief and insanity. I know most of the plot points from previous media, but the film's take is amazing, funny, shocking, definitely hit the feels hard and the ending I did not see coming. You did great as Dr.Gerald Charriii.

I had no idea you were part of the amazing Project Shadow fan film, easily my favourite fan project.
So Dr Eggman needs to kidnap a child to fulfil his deepest fantasies.
That didn't sound bad whatsoever.
As much as I would love to continue playing this game, it doesn't run especially well on my older model iPhone. If it does get ported to consoles in like a year or two, then I'd absolutely play it some more, but considering that Sega partnered with Apple to make it, I'm not holding my breath.
One thing I will say though, the reason behind having both animated cutscenes along with the static frames is likely a budget thing. Developers are only given so much money for a project and at some point will need to cut corners where they can to make sure they can achieve their goal without overspending. Aside from the intro to the third boss fight, almost all of the story cutscenes consist of just the characters talking; so if they were animated, it wouldn't consist of that much interesting to look at. Plus, with the money they've saved, they can use it to make the cutscenes that are animated look really good which they did. Not to mention, this is a mobile game at the end of the day. We gotta keep our expectations in check.
As for your question, my favorite new character is Sage.

so for the Video's question:
- I think i like Sage the most. Not only her being a little ball of Sass that knows how to deflate Sonic's ego every time is hilarious, but also because her character arc is the most compelling & the one that can be extended for more games
- Barry is a fun self-insert, same with The Rookie, honestly i just dig the idea of random people that encounter Sonic and the Gang and then they just move on with their lives.
-Ariem is honestly kinda boring, all she does is Exposition & be Cream's damsell in Distress, which is hilarious when you consider they keep writing Cream as the damsell in Distress
-Trip is adorable and has potential, but as of now with just Superstars she feels like a rethread of S3&K Knuckles
also Shout outs to The End, i just love the idea of having Metaphysical Death be an actual recurring antagonist that can be destroyed & return in different forms

You probably don’t take suggestions, but I think an Everything Wrong With Trover Saves The Universe could be a good video. It’s funny, fairly fun, plenty of dialogue, and it actually has a pretty detailed plot to scrutinize. It’s a sleeper game that I feel needs a bit more attention, too.
14:32 So my theory to this is when Tails Used the Miles Electronic to disable the “ construction “ (as Rouge calls it), which looks more like a barrier, that’s when Tails modified it. So it could just be that him saying he would disable it was a ruse and it was actually to modify it. Or who knows. Maybe it modified it off screen. the thing i like about Dream Team is the level design. Its really impressive they got so much out of such compact levels (at the beginning half anyways)
So i watched the project shadow movie and i have to say mr. Charri5 that your gerald was so cool. I watched it and was making sure i got to hear you. And when i heard the undertones of your voice i was like "it's the boy!!!"
You forgot to mention the final boss eggman isn’t a boss fight it’s a level with the final boss in it

By the by, if you're looking to expand your eww's, why not try a few underrated or underdog games?
Here's just 6 from the top of my list that I played this year:
Psychonauts 1 and 2 (I'm surprised that they're not in a video yet)
Skul: the Hero Slayer (Hard game, interesting story)
Skylanders series (ps: buy the cheeper figures)
Harvest Moon/Story of Seasons (any of them, not picky)
Humongous Entertainment Collection (for the giggles and nostalgia)
Spooky's Jumpscare Mansion (Get the HD version, it's more stable than the og)
Skylanders figures are so dirt cheap and in such low demand that you can get hundreds of characters across multiple gens for like $20. They're not at all expensive. Like, at all. Amiibo are the only Toys to Life that are still valuable outside of ultra-rare collectors item figures like KH Mickey in Disney Infinity. (D23 2016 Exclusive)
The problem comes with the toys compatibility with certain games, as later gen characters don't work with earlier games and while the older gen characters work in the newer games they're SEVERELY underpowered when it comes to stats and die instantly. Spyro's Adventure and Giants have basically the same power level since Giants is really just a glorified expansion pack but every game starting with Swap Force ups the level cap and enemy strength so that the older figures become weaker and weaker. Using Gen 1 figures in Imaginators (the final game) will cause pretty much instant KOs due to powercreep.
There are also certain characters that ONLY work in certain games. Bowser and Donkey Kong can only be used in Superchargers, a mediocre cart racing spinoff with a very short campaign that's 50% cart racing anyways, and gimmick characters besides the giants can only be used in their home game. (Swaplanders with Swap Force, Trap Crystals with Trap Team, Vehicles with Superchargers, and custom characters with Imaginators)

Some figures are very expensive, though, like some of the mini Skylanders from Trap Team (look up prices for Breeze and Whisper), Darkfire and Solar Flare, and even a couple of the trap crystals are expensive, those being the light, dark, and Kaos traps

@@Loner098persona games? Im gonna be honest I NEVER played Mother 3. And I was never interested in chrono trigger so I cant really judge any of them correctly 😅
@Syisbraindead Well, if you ever decide to play Chrono Trigger, I may be able to go over the different ports (at least to my knowledge as I've only ever played the Steam version):
SNES (Super Nintendo) : The classic and "honorable" way to play Chrono Trigger. Since it's the SNES version, it will muffle audio when an attack or other action in battle is performed.
PS1: Adds anime cutscenes but also has slower load times.
DS: Often considered the "definitive version." It contains a new, more descriptive text translation, compressed audio that doesn't muffle when attacking, the Arena of Ages (though it's pretty forgettable) a new area called the Lost Sanctum (contains a bunch of side quests) but I don't think they're worth your time in comparison to the "main story" side quests, and the post game areas of the Dimensional Vortexes. Completing the Dimensional Vortexes can grant you access to a way to unlock the 13th ending, which is supposed to tie into the story of Chrono Cross.
iOS/Mobile: Basically like the DS port, but with a different sprite font, controller support, features an auto-battle command and most likely uses the original SNES audio.
PC/Steam: Basically like the mobile port, but it uses the original sprite detail and keeps the content from the DS version. It's also the fastest of all the other ports, auto-bookmarks/saves after entering a loading zone, and allows you to move diagonally on the *overworld.* Just like the mobile port, the audio will not be compressed like the DS version or muffled when an attack is playing out.
Make sure you visit the Mayor's House/Manor at the beginning of the game. The NPCs should tell you about the game's mechanics.
Oh. And something to be mindful of is that if you're playing Chrono Trigger on an SNES emulator, there will be a point in the game where it will require you to press and hold both L and R then to press A to activate a certain button to progress through the game. So you'll need to attach said L and R button combination to one single key.

Seeing your post-video scene here, I can definitely see the improvement over the years, so I think even if you have your doubts sometimes you've been doing better each year. It's just that when someone really takes pride in their work, they see the most flaws.
Also, I just got back from the Project Shadow video, and holy crap the whole thing was pretty impressive! I can easily tell everyone who had a part really enjoyed working on it!
