MissingLinkZ Shift Linkage Parts for A1/2/3 VW Vehicles

Showing some of the shift linkage parts we make for the A1-A3 model water cooled VWs.
In an earlier video, I showed our weighted shift rod shipment being unpacked. Those are just a small part of the manual transaxle shift linkage parts we make for the early model water cooled VWs. We make fully adjustable, all-metal replacements for the rest of the shift linkage. We make upgraded replacement bushings for most of the moving parts in the linkage in UHMW polyethylene, Teflon, Delrin and Nylon. We also have parts to help in 4sp to 5sp transaxle swaps.

Quick question I have a AUG o2o transmission from a MK2 I want to install on my MK1 but I transfer the relay lever from my old MK1 transmission but doesn’t quite match the length of the two plastic ends levers
Do you know if I need to use a MK2 lever or something I thought they were the same

I've never worked with the Mk2 relay lever itself, but some information on the Mk1 lever below:

I think the Mk2 lever is set up a little different and the shift linkage rods are different lengths on the Mk2 transaxle, especially the forward selector rod is a lot shorter than the Mk1 rod.

My car only put Gear 1, 2& Reverse they said it's a gearbox problem but I replaced another gear box, I'm still having the same problem, I also changed new clutch kit,
What can be the problem

Likely an issue in the shift linkage. We have a good overview of how it's supposed to work on our web page:

My guess would be either the lever/ball on the relay shaft is worn out or one of the selector rods is damaged and not letting you actuate the selector lever on the transaxle to get into the 3-4 or 5 gear parts of the shift pattern. Pop the hood open and spend a little time operating the linkage by hand into all the gears then try to use the gear shifter to do the same thing and see what's different.

Hi - I am having a problem shifting into 1st & 2nd gears. When shifting I need to be very careful or I can accidentally move the shifter into reverse instead of 1st gear. Someone mentioned that my reverse lock is probably shot, they also mentioned that OEM was an original plastic mold for the reverse lock. Do you make a reverse lock or hopefully you make a modern alternative. Thank you!!
