@Yalashaska TOTALLY agreed!!!! It sucks to see those Pride veterans loosing nowadays.....it seems to be an end of and era, and a new age of fighters are coming up. But anyways to all the haters: Aoki has an attitude, but remember that MMA in general is a market like any other. Fighters have to say things to make the fight BIG. They all have a character, but not like WWE or other "fixed" organization.
@Yalashaska That was five years ago. At the time Pride held a good portion of the talent pool because they were more successful and wealthy. Dana got his fighters into Pride because he wanted the Pride fighters in the UFC (mainly Sakuraba), and Pride screwed him. In the end Dana got the last laugh, although he never got Saku.
@FireProMMA Your are going to far with that, mma is not fake but isn't boring boxing neither so those things and entertaining entrances have been always part of the mma particular aura and not only japanese fighters have done eccentric things for fun, also ninja Rua used to enter dressed as a ninja, Anderson Silva did a Michael Jackson impersonation, Rampage howls all the time and had the heavy chains arounds his neck, almost every fighter has his acting even Fedor when he enters expressionless
@arikat1 Lol? Sakuraba riding a bike and doing Evangelion parodies is an athletic context? Let's not kid ourselves, Dream is more Pro Wrestling than UFC. And this isn't an insult, the Japanese don't see ProWres as a dirty thing. That's why when their fighters do Pro Wrestling moves they get the largest cheers.
@I2onney So why ufc fighters (mostly boring wrestlers) don't go to fight to japan at a ring rather than their cage. Fighting in a ring Aoki is the best lightweight in the world, cause in a ring there's no escape and the space is smaller. It was funny time ago when Dana White got some of his fighters into pride in a way to prove ufc fighters were the best but at the end they all got their ass whooped. Now some of the most successful fighters of the UFC are pride veterans.

この頃の青木本当にかっこいいなぁ…エディとの再戦で負けて世界一を諦めてしまう前だから、まだ俺は上に行けるんだって踏み出そうとしてるまっすぐさがある。この頃の青木は俺のヒーローだった。今の老害と化してしまった彼とは違う。青木は世界一を諦めてひねくれる過程で、ずっとまっすぐだった彼を応援していたファンを裏切ったことに気付いてほしい。
彼はあくまで格闘技を自分のためにやっているんです。格闘技のファンって好きな選手は人生をこう歩むべきとかそういう人間じゃないとダメって言ってる人結構多いんだよね。
今も日本人ライト級では1番強いし、ONEでも活躍してる

彼はノートでもメディアでもだが近年、 自分の客を大事にする と表現する。
本来の彼の客というのはDREAM時代から応援していたり世代でなくともこの時の青木に影響を受けMMAでも世界に通用するどころかまともにやりあえる日本人がいる
という部分に感化された人達のことなのだよ笑
今のように格闘技の強さは使えないだの本質の強さとはだの評論活動をしている彼ではない。これは自明ですよ。
この人の言ってることは彼が今言っている 自分の客を大切にする という表現を使うならば世界を目指し対等にやり合えていた、諦める前の彼についていた客を大切にして欲しいということ。
