I did the same but I had I think one 4 and rest 3 I think. He didn't detonate the first time we killed him. Evertime after it was a difficulty killing him quick enouph
My brother and I didn't know we had to take the shields down and only had 3 crowns and grenades. We died 165 times 💀
Pro tip: You can easily solo a hard mode defense mission with the new homing turrets. They're OP.

had a guy once join me on defense and he used those things(homing turrets) not only do they have AWSOME ATACK they do a F ton of dmg, stagewr everything and shoot FAST and a LOT, nothing much lives for more than 30 sec when its locked on by those (all on hard ofc, wish they would add nighmere or somehting alike)
Yes, i used 5c SMGs, an LMG, the rocket launcher and a 4c PVG90, managed to complete a hard base defense with the homing turrets + rocket companion, though i used all of my aluminum to craft them but it worked (base ended up in very rough shape), now i just need a fast way to farm it, also sadly didn't get any exp weapon, but a lot of good loot from all the apocalypse tanks
In my experience, using the 84mm cannon or the RPG if you have the dlc paired with your companion with the rocket launcher can do some decent damage to a reaper, aim fir the gun mount hanging below the body, then once thats disabled, you just have to avoid the charge and shockwave attack while you shoot its legs and head
My brother and I defeated the reaper with only 3 crowns, grenades, and rockets. It took us like 2 hours and 165 deaths. We didnt even know you could destroy the sheild generators until we accidentally blew one up.

I just took out three reapers today, first was my first ever and now I’m hooked hahah, but didn’t have anything higher than level than 4, and first two reapers dropped fancy boots 🤣 and less ammo than I exhausted, other than the 2000 rounds of 9mm pistol ammo I have no use for haha. Third reaper however, dropped an experimental kvm 59, and an exp AG4. Hoping for the exp PSG 90 the most but the flame rounds on the AG and the electro rounds on the KVM are both pretty cool effects

Fun fact I got all in one day when I reached level 25 and I went into multi-player and there was a reaper and we killed him and I got 3 experimental weapons😂
I got my first and only experimental just recently from a random rival that decided it wanted to join the mosh pit of hunters that attacked me during a misdion, lol. Lv.27 at the time, none of my threat levels were above 7k.
I got inspired by this video by you! Did the base defence on hard first time. Normally I do it on medium, but the loot in medium is really crappy. Actually I get better loot from easy.
The defence in it self went really well.
The signicant loot I got was
1, 5 star PM-71 (I already have but it's a quality indicator for the loot.)
2, 5 star Volkov, which was good since I recently scrapped my old one by mistake 😢😅
3, 5 star Klaucke, which is good, I already have though.
4, 5 star handgun silencer. I didn't have that before 👍
5, 5 star rifle silencer, already had though.
The experimental from the mission was Älgstudsaren, but it doesn't matter since I have all experimentals already.
Ammo was a big disappointment similar to medium. For this mission I only used 7.62. But I only got that ammo from 2 Apocalypse runners. All other machines dropped useless (for me) handgun ammo, 44, and shotgun shells. There were some 50 cal and 9 mm smg ammo which I use though.
All in all a fun experience though the loot could have been better.
I'm on the hunt for 5 star mags for the smg:s either kpist or HP5. But I will keep on grinding for them. Thanks for the video 🙏👍

Do you still have to be level 25 to get them to drop from base defense and assault missions? 👀 I’m not level 25 yet but I could be incentivized to grind some base missions if they could drop experimentals fs
so here's the thing some people say you do but i got mine before lvl 25 from these base missions however even if the 6 crowns don't drop the machines you take out in those missions always end up drop 4-5 crown loot which is still very good

That’s so great haha 😍 I felt that excitement the other day when someone dropped me a full kit of gold weapons I had never seen before, but it wouldn’t let me click them and said “download DLC”... I was kinda sad haha 🤣 And I didn’t have a mic to thank the guy and explain what’s going on and that I can’t pick them up, so he just ran off into the forest and left me his backpack of gold that I couldn’t use 😢

Will any level base defence have a chance of dropping experimentals? Or is it the higher the level the more likely it is to drop experimentals?
yeah they can drop from any base but the higher difficulty the better chances

@@lonzodeturd4328 a lot of people ask this sort of question but i always find it hard to give an answer because everyone has there own playstyle, however i do have a video were i go over my character build so you can always use that and adjust it to your needs
The exp. Sledge hammer is very hard to farm,the only weapon i miss

Is there a bug fix for building blocks? There’s no base spawned, I’ve destroyed two generators and the command centre isn’t there
Just reached lvl 25 and got exp pump from the first rival i killed, lvl 4 fnix hunter.
ok captain, types of FINX locations like if its a Data Centre or Cable node would be quite a helpful story to tell.. i stumble around finding that i can destroy some but others are weird.
eg Hallabakin farm had a door in the hill.. i dont know if it can be breached.
also home places seem to disappear! not sure if thats due to playing with a friend?

I just got done charging the Reaper with the experimental Magnus (after its shields were down) and this gun absolutely rips anything at close range. My game bros in session just couldn't understand why I didn't want the experimental pvg until I put down the Reaper. Nuff said

I killed a bunch of LvL 4 Rivals... And didn't got any exp. weapons from them... Also I completed the Building Block mission...but screwed up the Base Defense and my Base got destroyed... And I have absolutly no idea how to get command points to build it back... I know the fact that you have to destroy FNIX outposts... But I don't get anything... I destroy everything what you can there and still nothing... Would it be a huge favor dude if u can show me these in-game? ( I'm a visual person :D )

I don't remember where I got 2 of my 3 experimental weapons (the last one I got was from the reaper) but I got the double shot granatgevar and the rifle (I don't remember it's name) that does more damage the farther away you are
If I’m playing co-op with a friend, and I’m level 25 but he’s level 23, and there was an experimental gun drop after defeating a rival, would he be able to get the drop too since he’s not level 25? Or would we both need to be level 25 for an experimental gun drop to even happen? Sorry if you already explained this before. Love your videos though.
yes the lvl 23 would still be able to get it :)
How do you get exp weapon from Base Assaults? You have to loot them somewhere or you get it automatically in inventory after you completed the assault?
It automatically goes into your inventory but the chance of getting them is not guaranteed
My friend and I took this n a reaper on the hardest difficulty and we pretty much ran out of ammo on all of our guns
It's the Naboo guards' service weapon.
Does it matter the difficulty of the base assault or defense? And second question slightly off topic is there a way to reset the bases after claiming them or completing them?
the higher the difficulty the higher the chance an experimental weapons drops and if you want to reset the base just start a defense mission and let the machines destroy the base upon which you can abandon the base
I remember killing the reaper before level 18 but it was a massive slog. Tons of flairs fireworks sticky-flairs emps granades radios all my rockets and ammo. Hell even my pistol went into bringing that thing down. It died... Eventually but the rewards were not really worth it.
So do you still need lvl 25 or not?
I killed the reaper with a dogshit bazooka and it took me 3 hours to beat him with rockets and grenades and bugging him enough for him to miss literally every shot known to man

@@KilroyPlays Yeah understandable and the worst thing is when i killed him i couldn't even loot him i tried all angles and he was just bugged or something, fight was so long he was unlootable
Sounds like when I used the hunting rifles. Once upon a time shock ammo in a 7.62 sniper rifle was almost as good as the pvg90 but now the exp Algstugsare is the spammer of choice for standoff range
The only experimental i want is that damn revolver, ive gotten about everything but that single one, hell I dont even have a golden one either 😭

@@KilroyPlays Alright so I found it, took awhile but I think I have an issue, everytime I pick up the 44 (only the 44 it seems) it doesn't appear in my inventory, I think my game is bugged or something

i played in adventure difficulty (cause i suck) and got 5 experimental weapons in like 1 day, so does the difficulty affects the chances of experimental weapons dropping or am i just very lucky?
Personally I've seen no difference in drops rates from one difficulty to another so i would say your just lucky sir! 🤣

Correction.
The only way to get an experimental weapon was to increase the area threat by spawning as many rivals as possible, level your rivals to 3 (4 didn't seem to make a difference to a fair number of players) and be extremely lucky. 125+ hours in and not one dropped experimental weapon or any shotgun, sniper, lmg, above blue rarity. Apocalypse enemies for some poor developer reason. Had a lesser chance to drop experimental weapons and prototype rivals never did.
Base assault can also reward you with an experimental weapon. That where i got my second experimental Algstudsare right after the first one.
The drop rates are 80x what they were, in 2 hours of gameplay ive gotten 5 experimental weapons.
I just returned to the game after the boaring struggle grind of diablo. (To which im extremely relived).
It seems the shinannigans went to HIMFJALL and the garbage drops of the apocalypse enemies.
Additionally you can kill the Reaper without experimental weapons. It's not hard, just know the death mechanic sound and have a place to hide. Boom simple. However the best chance for an Experimental weapon in to kill him outright instead of letting it explode. (10% health mark) doing so means he won't explode and possibly take you with him and you get better rewards. I took em out at 30, solo 1 down after I sent him into self destruct mode due to a sniper being a walbanging S1UT

Me and 2 other friends took down the reaper without experimental weapons took us a few tries but we got it down but the reaper didnt give us experimental weapons
i would love to but they deleted my base with a update and i can’t even claim the home base again

@@KilroyPlays It took A couple tries. We didn't die a ton. We fought him by the pit in the farmland's ones. And the second time we just camped at the safe house by the airport.
What we're those turrets you used in the base defense clip on the end of video?
there just sniper towers, fire 50bmg rounds but arent that effective tbh

I farmed the reaper without experimental weapons quite easily, just lead him to a safehouse and respawn infinitely, and spam the 50 bmg, I had to kill 3 before i got my first exp, the smg
that is some terrible luck bro! killed him 3 times before you got 1 experimental? i usually get 2 experimentals and a piece of clothing per kill
it took me almost 2 hours 7k fmj and 1000 50 bmg fmj with a green ak and a blue 3 star .50cal

I've done a bunch of base defences in the farms lands while my threat level is 21-23 and I've had nothing drop where does it drop how dies it work please explain

Just took down a Reaper using a mix of 5 star weapons. Probably the best 5 star weapons available. It still took me over an hour. Most of my time was spent hiding from its Thermobaric fart. Then it came very close to killing itself. I got lucky and it was distracted by a Soviet machine so I got behind it and rapid fired at its back then rapid fired an entire PVG clip while the Reaper was mid final Thermobaric.
And after all that...
I got an Experimental Pistol 💀

I didn't even use it until Kilroy showed me how to hide behind an object although my previous tactic of lining up a tank or harvester's legs with its body still works if you're lucky enough not to get gassed
So far I have the experimental G rocket launcher weapon and the experimental k spist, they are OK but I don't use the SMG
yeah tbh the only guns you need in game are the experimental pvg, kvm 59 and the .44 magnus. there all proper OP

I don't know if it was insane luck but I got 2 back to back experimentals plus one more by killing 4 rivals
without trying to take away from you getting 3 experimentals in a short space of time, there honestly really easy to get! there's a big misconception in the gz community about "how Hard" they are to grind for but in my time playing gz i racked up 100's if not thousands of them, to the point I had to keep scrapping them ayy 🤣 but keep up the grind g!

I find killing rivals and reapers to be hideously easy, even more so during these days as I write out this big comment that no one will prolly read all the way.
Only reason I only go after reapers and not other rivals is because it drops the threat level and threat point of the region so hard like a anvil on an ant. Only reason I'd be hunting a rival is because you can only have 8 rivals per region and the reaper counts as a rival so you gotta get rid of one to get the reaper into the area. Base assaults and base defense missions on the other hand have been much easier during recent days cus you just need to take a rocket launcher and give it the structure destructor augment to wreck bases and strip them of all things in a matter of like 10 minutes. Personally, I find reaper to be the easiest target as well as the most worthwhile cus he stays stationary for such a long time without shooting or shielding when he tries to use a thermobaric explosion and that gives me such a nice target to shoot at when all I need to survive it at point blank is 3 portable covers, and in exchange for all that I can get things like uranium (which I use to get experimental ammo for augments), experimental weapons (which at this point I recycle for weapon parts cus I have too many), lots of bullets (that I can't use faster than I gain them) and other stuff that can be used for crafting.
i agree the hardest enemies in game arent really that hard when you have the best weapons in game
I think the drop rate is kind of random. I just went to acquire the proto pvg 90 and the 5 stars at the same time Killing a lvl1 rival at menace lvl11.
are rivals unlimited? are they randomly create in game?
yes and no... them spawning is unlimited but you have a limited amount of them per region which is 8. and the game has a small chance of spawning in a rival every time you either escape combat or won combat, so essentially yoi can cheese the spawns by killing 1 enemy then hiding, rinse and repeat
i joined a random game and killed the reaper at lvl 19 (i got 2 weapons from it)
My building blocks mission is glicht so i can't do base assault 😢

Has anyone else have a problem with experiment weapons dissapering the second you Loot them? I've looted 4 in the past day and have all disappeared. Is there a cap to how many you can have? Is the game broken?

Just started and I'm cursed. 5 experimental weapons, four AG4s haha.
Community is amazing and helped me out with a couple more to flesh out my repertoire.
the ag4 drop is bugged has been for like a year now so you'll get heaps of them! one guy in my discord collected a few hundred in a short timeframe ayy 🤣 keep up the grind

In my opinion the experimentals are way too common. In my experience close to every second Rival drops one. Almost every base defense drops one. I think base attack drops one too sometimes. Getting to lvl 21 is fast with double exp skill early. After that you stack experimentals. Especially while I was farming rivals for clothing schematics. Got literally every experimental there is in one hour of farming. I would have loved them to be EXTrEMely Rare
i agree if anyone is struggling to get them they're doing something wrong. you could easily get 100 experimentals grinding the 500+ rivals you need for the clothing schematics
@@KilroyPlays although you don’t need to grind 500+ rivals because realistically you only need one complete clothing set. I got two (explosion and nullet resistant)

just keep doing base assaults and you'll get it eventually! all part of the fun, plus the 12 gauge experimental is trash anyways so your not missing out on anything good

I'm not new to Gen Z I just haven't played in a long time at least like 2 years and I don't know what's going on. Idk what weapons I can get or which ones I need a DLC for. 😕I had every experimental before I played last time, but for some reason, it made me restart to the beginning of the game. 😔I have a few experimentals but I got them from the old way to farm. I'm basically clueless and don't know what to do.

i haven't been playing long but they've had huge updates since i started. wish they would chill tf out adding new paid content and work on polishing the game overall. the UI is atrocious.
