    Dude should’ve done this:
Don’t quit the job. Buy a backstage pass to get back legitimately. Type up a résumé, go up to Logan, say something along the lines of “hey Logan, I’m hoping to get into this field, I don’t know if you have any jobs available, but if you do here’s my résumé. If not, you can keep the résumé, if you have an opening at any time I’d totally be up for it. Number and email is on it feel free to contact anytime”
Still a stupid method of contacting him but this would’ve went way better.

    • @testedhawk

This guy was 22 made $100k a year. My father is in his late 40s and makes around 37k a year, and he has to take care of his family with 5 children. Definitely don't feel bad for this guy.
I personally rather work a job I don't like with good money than risk it all for a job I like and might not get.
Also, I live in LA. Houses here are expensive. My dad has wanted to get a bigger house for years because three rooms feels too small to fit seven people, but house prices are just so high and they keep on getting higher. Also, from what I've heard from people in entertainment that I met when I was still in high school, it's better to try to start off somewhere other than LA to build a reputation first since there's too much competition in the entertainment industry here.

@bigboy 1785 honestly since he seems much more serious about boxing than Jake, I think it's that. There's a reason the stereotype of the "young kid with a troubled past/bad neighborhood gets put into boxing and gets his life straight, wins golden gloves and goes pro" exists. Boxing is relatively unique in offering people who are on a bad path or "fuck ups" the structure and humility they need to grow.

Maybe they weren’t guaranteed to be a billionaire at the time, but they had an idea that was working. Mark zuckerburg for instance dropped out of school, but it was AFTER his app started getting success. The correct way to go about this would’ve been, don’t quit your job but start trying. If Logan had went “ya you think you could be a cameraman? I need another cameraman actually” then he could’ve quit AFTER getting that offer. If he hadn’t quit than he could’ve gone back home, and kept trying while still working at his 6 figure job.

@ً The polarization started in 2016 when it comes to what I'm referring to but COVID has no doubt added to it.

I think the meaning of a true friend has degraded to such an extreme degree that anyone who shows you any amount of common human decency could be considered a "friend" these days. I moved too often as a kid to really make solid friends, and the gross majority of people I knew no longer even talk to me. I live in a state now where I don't know anyone, and I don't have any friends that check in on me even weekly or monthly. Of course I have my parents and extended family in other states so I'm not like, literally completely alone, but I don't have a social life _at all._
And this isn't to farm sympathy for myself, I just always find it strange when people say "everyone has friends". That's an easy take, the hard one is acknowledging that we consciously and unconsciously ostracize people from society all the time, for no reason at all (no good one at least). "They look funny" or "we probably have nothing in common" or "there's no logical reason to interact with that person, so I won't". I also think the younger generations got desensitized from all of the divorces that took place where they never lived with their siblings, and all of the latch-key kids that walked themselves home from the bus stop and prepared their own food when they got there since their parents worked late, and every kid who never had a chance to foster their social skills at home. So now, out in the real world, the bar is so low that basically everyone counts as a "friend", because no one really understands what a true friend is anymore.
A true friend should be closer to you than a brother, that's how I've heard it put. Meaning, a true friend (which again, depends on your understanding) should be so in your corner that they make you want to treat them like family or better. You should feel like you're getting as much or more support than you get from your own family. A true friend is the person you can call to come bail you out of jail and pay the bond out of their own pocket, when even your family can't be reached. A true friend is the one that throws you one-on-one birthday when everyone else has forgotten it. A true friend fights for your comfortability even when it puts them in an embarrassing position, and stands up for you even when it means they're taking an avoidable risk. A true friend is more concerned about you than they are themselves.

Agreed, you make a good point. I mostly agreed about everyone can be counted as friend nowadays even if you are not really that close, which is actually just "friends" not true friends

Hey I have no friends as of now :( (long story) but u saying that everyone has friends just makes me feel more depressed:( it is real for some ppl out there , and sometimes it's ok to have no friends at one point in time.
