UNHCR's Grandi calls for end to the war in Sudan that has displaced millions of people.

I’m here during the week of World Refugee Day to say don’t forget the refugees from Sudan. South Sudan, and Sudan, are two countries bound by history. Both have hosted refugees from the other country due to the multiple conflicts that have impacted all the people here. The civilians in this conflict as so often happens they are the ones paying the highest price. The biggest appeal that I want to make is to the military people who are fighting each other and reducing this country to ruin and to rubble. They have to stop. So that we can move back to peacebuilding, to development, to a better future for all those who are living here.
