Amazing video honestly you are my idol I am not gonna use this workout as an 11 year old Gk but just watching this video for fun. Have a great journey in Macclesfield
I love it. 10/10 routine. People don't understand how effective bands are in a workout. Love the chest press+pull up superset. Perfect and effective way to target every upper body muscles.
This is an excellent video, Conor! Thanks a million for sharing. My question about the weighted lateral lunge is: Is it acceptable for the foot you're lunging on to point slightly outwards? I'm asking because I'm presuming that the foot should always be pointing ahead.
Nice to see that you’re staying local to Macc (I know the gym you’re at) you see so many players making the trip Liverpool/Manchester everywhere else 😂 glad you got a start today as well long may it continue
Nice to see an insight of how you train, definitely going to consider buying the programme quick question tho, will a normal bodybuilding workout routine benefit me on the pitch?
Hi Conor,How many days a week should I follow this routine? One day at intervals?Because right now I have a meniscus injury.I do certain leg exercises.I also work out my upper body every other day. How should I make this program?Help please🙏🏻
Hi mate, there is a full programme on the website if you want a structure for your gym training - but I usually train in the gym 2 or 3 times a week. Make sure you speak to a physio about your injury - the last thing you want to do is make it worse.
Love the video, I just have a question, is this the only gym workout I need as a goalkeeper, do I just repeat it 3-4 times a week? Thanks so much again
In season, I normally do a Strength Session and a Power Session in the week, plus one Recovery Session. I have a full GK Gym programme over on my website if you want more help with it!
@@Lars_Kleive ah, I’m sure they’ll be back in stock soon. Tbh, they are all brilliant, have a look at what design / cut you prefer, and I’m sure you will love them 🧤
Hi Connor was just wondering if you had any tips for me on this I’m a young goalkeeper who struggles to get length and height and goal kicks and was wondering if you had anything’s that I could do from home to improve my leg strength
A few things - a lot of kicking is down to technique rather than strength, so have a look through the Distribution / Goal Kick tutorial videos that I have here on the channel. I also have a few home workouts on here from back in Lockdown, so if you are looking to improve strength and can't go to the gym, they should be able to help!
@@ConorOKeefeI don't know if my idea is good but will it work for me if I choose one strength session and one power session from the strength programme instead of going through phases? Im wondering bec I'm sure I have the foundations bec I've been to the gym a lot between November-February.
Perfect timing lol. About to leave for the gym
Hope you enjoy it!
Great video hope your clearance gets sorted connor i am low on confidence at the moment with my goalkeeping
Thanks Wayne. Take it back to basics, set some small goals, and start to build up again
Lets gooooo!!! New gym sesion😊😊😊
Hope you enjoy it mate!

Thank you mate, appreciate that - very important to have good gym routines to boost the on pitch performance!

Yes, forward is better!

Thank you! If you want to improve performance as an athlete, an athlete focused session is probably better for you than a body building one!
I train with Scott well done for signing for Macclesfield
Love it, enjoy his sessions! Thank you!
Can you send the link of every strength videos

Can 13 year olds do this or we need to do less reps or maybe on some of the exercises we make a easier variation??
The exercises should be fine! Just do them with lower weight!

This dude is leaving my dream.
Question: do you think nowadays a free kick scoring GK would have space in a roster?
Like Rogério Ceni
Thanks mate!
I'm not sure, maybe! But it is a bit of a risk!
I want a pair og kaliaaer gk gloves. Do you have a glove you would recommend that is not sold out? PS: I wear size 8/9
I love any of the Pwrlite range, they're my favourite!! Go for one of those. Plus, you can use the discount code OKEEFE to save a bit of money too
But they Are sold out. If you would choose another model, what would you pick?

Can you please make a review on the aerazor model?

Can we do this everyday in the gym or can you tell me weekly how many days?
I would normally do 2/3 gym sessions a week!
Anyone know what shoes he is wearing in this video
Nike Metcons!

What’s the best Landmine exercise to do?
Tough question - I like the landmine split jerk, works the explosivity of the legs and the arms!
@@ConorOKeefe your amazing thank you so much for replying to me. Keep up the hard work 🐐🙏
How many times do you do this session in a week and how many times do you do strength/power sessions in a week?
Normally in season I will do one strength gym session & one power gym session per week. I’ll also do a recovery session too the day after a game 👍🏼
@@ConorOKeefe another question. Do the plyometrics programme and strength/athleticism programme work together
@@ConorOKeefe or do I need to plan it myself?

@@ConorOKeefealthough it wasn't goalkeeper specific training. I've had a lot of tough training on the pitch with my coach during the preseason
What is ur rest time between sets?
Normally 1 minute
How often are you supposed to go to the gym as a GK
I normally go 2-3x per week!
