Just want to point out something I noticed by accident.. The very fact that st. Gemma's diaries /manuscripts were burned around the edges , but not having affected the content is very significant. #1- she allowed the Holy Spirit to burn out her carnal human nature and transform her into unity with Jesus Christ.. her Bridegroom. All of us are being called to that, but not all of us choose to go that far and allow Him to burn out our self-nature within us. She went through the Holy Spirit's fires in her soul., just as Shadrach, Mesech and Abinego agreed to go into that firey furnace thousands of years before in Babylon. Just as these three youths, came out unscathed, she did as well.. her spirit only more purified and more sanctified. It is also worthy to note how the Shroud of Turin also went through a fire around the Middle Ages, and yet the Father did not permit His Son's image to be burned in that fire. Only the edges were damaged. Same too with Gemma's diary manuscripts .. which glorified Jesus Christ. They too , only had the edges burned.., but not the content. Same too, with all those who are united with Jesus in spirit and in Truth.
