Vernon told everyone how terrified he is, he psychologically went into a cage and closed the door out of fear, where he won't even defend himself. There was a book one time that said two people were getting on a bus, the one person got on the front of the bus, and the other person got on the bus, but saw all the seats in the back full, so he psychologically made a backseat in his mind, in order to sit on the bus. The way Vernon's body language got smaller and smaller, and leaned the opposite way, people need to look at kid's body language when an adult walks in the room, does the behavior, body language completely change when the adult enters and exits the room?
Vernon did good in his interview. I just wish the interviewer was more compassionate as someone who has their degree in psychology actually feels like he tried to make him feel less than he was because of what he been through to me a man ask another man how he felt while getting R worded seems more suspect to me

I'm from New York, that doesn't make me better or badder than anyone, it is just a place where you have to fight for any and everything. If you don't you are going to get taken advantage of . I was In the service also. They teach you life long messages. I had to do some things to people to let them know I'm not the weakest leak. One of your greatest weapons is your brain. Use it to defeat, to manipulate, to get ahead in life, to shift the odds in your favor. If you are slow you won't be able to do that. Most bully's are scared, if you hit a bully bk and hit him hard ,usually you'll have no more problems from that person. At least they will think twice about confronting you again.

Unfortunately, I know people like this!!! I went to high school with them and lived in the same neighborhood. My dad says to watch how they will turn out in the future (Just like the father in the "Boyz N the Hood Movie.") My dad was 100% correct! I was visiting my parents a few years back. My mom was getting the mail and asked me to come outside. She said is that one of your former classmates. I said no. My brother came to the front and said, Yeah...you know him. That's Frank! I looked back and said no, that can't be him. He looked way older and drunk, lying in the doorway of a building...talking to himself. My brother stated Frank went to jail for selling illegal substances. He was hanging with the wrong group of people and wanted that fast money. My brother stated a couple guys that was in jail with Frank, around the same time..stated Frank got jumped and "R**ed" by three inmates. They kept coming back at him on and off during his prison stay. My brother stated everyone in the neighborhood knows, and they make fun of him. So, Frank just walked the streets drunk and high. I felt sorry for the guy. Most of the guys I know from back in the day ended up unalive, in prison, brain-fried on illegal substances, or still living in their parent's house. It's ALWAYS the knuckleheads that think this crap will not happen to them. That guy Baba is NOT his friend and is using him. Both of those guys used him, and he allowed it to happen because he wanted to fit him. The same is true regarding Frank and all the followers in jail.

Vernon told everyone how terrified he is, he psychologically went into a cage and closed the door out of fear, where he won't even defend himself. There was a book one time that said two people were getting on a bus, the one person got on the front of the bus, and the other person got on the bus, but saw all the seats in the back full, so he psychologically made a backseat in his mind, in order to sit on the bus. The way Vernon's body language got smaller and smaller, and leaned the opposite way, people need to look at kid's body language when an adult walks in the room, does the behavior, body language completely change when the adult enters and exits the room?

Vernon’s mannerisms once this “Eric” sat down is telling. Vernon became extremely uncomfortable with this “Eric’s” presence almost child like. Vernon messing with the couch etc. this Eric “Baba” individual still has Vernon in a mental chokehold. This “Baba” character has played Vernon and continues to do it on this couch. It’s shameful how we mentally destroy one another. These two men are two different individuals. Vernon was “groomed” as this so called “Baba” Eric said. Vernon thank you for sharing your story I pray it reaches the right youth who need to hear this .
Side note: Eric is definitely no “Baba” even in the slightest as he has demonstrated NOTHING a “Baba” is defined to do!

I miss the days when you had to go to school to be a journalist etc. Now all you need is lights and mic. The interviewer was very insensitive and was almost making a mockery of what happend. He also asked alot of irrelevant questions. However it was important for young men to here Vernon's story.
I thought it was just me. His interviewing style is very tasteless and insensitive. So unprofessional.

@LilheadPrezident you may be right. But I don't think so. Any time you do something to impress someone who is not worth your while, something is wrong with you. I'm from New York, that doesn't make me better or badder than anyone, it is just a place where you have to fight for any and everything. If you don't you are going to get taken advantage of . I was In the service also. They teach you life long messages. I had to do some things to people to let them know I'm not the weakest leak. One of your greatest weapons is your brain. Use it to defeat, to manipulate, to get ahead in life, to shift the odds in your favor. If you are slow you won't be able to do that. Most bully's are scared, if you hit a bully bk and hit him hard ,usually you'll have no more problems from that person. At least they will think twice about confronting you again.
Vernon I can speak for everyone when I say that you are an amazing person for putting it all out there so people can get the real truth about prison and not some bullshit. I myself I nothing but respect for you. You are an inspiration to others and real stand up dude. Thank You for telling your story. A lot of people needed to hear it.

Unfortunately, I know people like this!!! I went to high school with them and lived in the same neighborhood. My dad says to watch how they will turn out in the future (Just like the father in the "Boyz N the Hood Movie.") My dad was 100% correct! I was visiting my parents a few years back. My mom was getting the mail and asked me to come outside. She said is that one of your former classmates. I said no. My brother came to the front and said, Yeah...you know him. That's Frank! I looked back and said no, that can't be him. He looked way older and drunk, lying in the doorway of a building...talking to himself. My brother stated Frank went to jail for selling illegal substances. He was hanging with the wrong group of people and wanted that fast money. My brother stated a couple guys that was in jail with Frank, around the same time..stated Frank got jumped and "R**ed" by three inmates. They kept coming back at him on and off during his prison stay. My brother stated everyone in the neighborhood knows, and they make fun of him. So, Frank just walked the streets drunk and high. I felt sorry for the guy. Most of the guys I know from back in the day ended up unalive, in prison, brain-fried on illegal substances, or still living in their parent's house. It's ALWAYS the knuckleheads that think this crap will not happen to them. That guy Baba is NOT his friend and is using him. Both of those guys used him, and he allowed it to happen because he wanted to fit him. The same is true regarding Frank and all the followers in jail.
My heart goes out to Vernon, this is a deeply disturbing situation and I applaud his bravery and courage to tell his story.
