I think it might be better to average # of points rather than rankings, because using the rankings alone means that being ahead of the team directly below you by 1 point and being ahead by 100 points would count as the same thing due to either case being 1 rank apart. Other than that, amazing video.
What a nice bloke. I literally subscribed just because of your vibe. I feel like I could go for a beer with you and talk about geography/languages/football for hours. Thanks for the high effort video. Cheers!
Surely should be weighted by population of speakers too (to avoid one language countries dominating) Great video though, and interesting to see who came on top too!
Yes, true. But as Hong Kong's official languages are just listed as English and Chinese, and Macau's are Portuguese and Chinese (no distinction made between Mandarin/Cantonese), I just left Mandarin and Cantonese grouped together
i actually thought this meant by which language is least useful for communication on the pitch where English of course is everybody can understand you
same haha

Yeah good point

Love this channel just being the niche of Geography, Football and Statistics that appeals to me so much.
As a fan of languages and football, I enjoyed this video :D
bro is a part time football fan and full time data scientist.

Great video!, very nice idea, greetings from Nicaragua
great vid man, you put a lot of effort into it. sorry it didn't get that many views
this is awesome man. keep it up. loved the concept the editing and your overall vibe
Realistically being an American the US doesn’t have an official language meaning that they should not be used in this
yeah but the US is de-facto English so I feel like it does still count
A lot of countries don't have official languages written in law, but all have some language that, in practice, is the language of government.
Great video! I think you forgot to link the data? Or I'm blind 😅
I was waiting for the beer can to spill throughout the video, I am disappointed.
incredible video, big fan

Great video, can you share the whole list?
Why do you have only 1.8k views? this video is so good
I feel like English would be even worse because the US does not have an official language
Respect to the hours of time he took to make this video
You have my repsect and always have
Where is the whole list?
No weight it for the population of each country, e.g. giving more weight to Brazil's ranking than to Timor Leste's
Hong Kong and Macau speak Cantonese, not Mandarin like China, Taiwan (Chinese Taipei) and Singapore
Yes, true. But as Hong Kong's official languages are just listed as English and Chinese, and Macau's are Portuguese and Chinese (no distinction made between Mandarin/Cantonese), I just left Mandarin and Cantonese grouped together
I think it's better to do the avarige population wise
Link ?
