    AC stopped working bang on 12 am. This video helped me sort it out in 10 min and the unit has never blown colder. Positive karma coming your way.

    *It’s: Pretty. Quiet. **Fastly.Cool** in my room. Works wellLittle of hassle to install was TOTALLY worth it. I’m loving it so far. I recommend watching the installation video and taking it slow~*

    You can actually wash the filters in warm water. They come much cleaner by running water over the filters. It is also much easier than using a vacuum cleaner on them. I learned this technique from watching a you tube demo on the Daikin site.

      I prefer too, especially when you dont have a vacuum in a hotel room.

    I am pleased with this air conditioner. It’s extremely quiet compared to the smaller unit we were using. Would buy again if we have no issues in the near future.

    Its better to just skip vacuum and hand wash with morning fresh and warm water in sink,dry with towel, all the fine dirt washes out, then spray evap coil with Glen 20.

      Spraying with Glen 20 is a great idea. Washing means one has to clean the sink too, :), however would give a good result.

    How do you clean the outside unit please...

    • @dgaltieri
      @dgaltieri  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi Tara, there is no real need to do anything with the outside unit other than an exterior brushing with a brush or broom to remove dust and spiderwebs then a hose down otherwise just a good brush down. I also sometimes spray around the unit with some insect surface spray. You just don’t want a build up of spiderwebs inside. So keep it clean on the outside, clear of any plants or shrubs and you should be all fine.

      The drain is internal to the unit. The entire front cover would need to come off. It’s not normally something I worry about.

    • @dgaltieri
      @dgaltieri  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Joan, the coldness of the air coming out of the cooler is more to do with the refrigerant. If your unit is still under warranty maybe get is checked out.

    David is it possible to remove the case around the airco?
    I'd like to do some painting but with the casing around the airco it doesn't make it easy.

    • @dgaltieri
      @dgaltieri  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      I'm sure that you can unscrew the casing, as the unit gets installed on the wall then the casing is mounted over the top. However, I have not tried this so, research it a little more before you try. Otherwise, just mask around the casing and paint around with a brush before you roll the walls. Good luck.

    • @wmleng
      @wmleng 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes, the plastic casing can be removed. But note that sometimes, the installer uses silicon fillers for the gap between the case and the wall. It's not difficult to remove. My Aircon man also remove the cooling fins during chemical wash. But to do that, you need to know how to prevent coolant from leaking and know how to disconnect and connect the coolant pipes. So for a thorough chemical wash, best to leave it to the pros.

    Guys please don't buy Daikin ac's. I have bought it and now feeling guilty. So much expensive installation. Way too much expensive piping and all the other fee and charges. I will prefer don't buy if you have lots of black money go ahead otherwise don't.

    • @maheshbolt

      Bro, from where you got ?? I have also got Daikin Inverter AC and it comes with free standard installation and also comes with copper pipes. I only had to pay for 5mts power cable because i asked them to give me 5mts extra. And AC is working like charm....literally no sound and amazing cooling.
