I love both, they are different 'cause the purpouse of the tour is different. Legacy was theatrical, pompous and almost baroque, looking for the past. This stage is talking about the future, so lights, lines and simple defined shapes

Absolutely love the stage. After the insane stage sets on the legacy tour this minimalist set works perfect and the lights make the show perfect! UP THE IRONS 🤘
To your question: I think the stage enclosure hardware they use today was first used in this way on the 2003 Give me Ed Tour. The back upper walk looks similar even on the Brave New World Tour, but the side upper „walk boxes“ were not connected and only reachable with a rope (you can see it on The Mercenary on the Rock in Rio DVD). Of course smaller things change and develop like the diagonal connection between the corners and the middle and some details like stairs, and we don’t exactly know if the organization of amplifiers and so on changes, but the hardware skeleton is the same for 20 years now. I think if you only cut 50 cm out of it they would run into each other and collide all the time as they are so familiar with the moves on their playground. I think even the position of the main monitor speakers are the same since the Ed Hunter Tour. There were additions over the years like speakers between the „ego boxes“ (they call it like that - I think it’s on the Death on the Road documentary). I was heavily surprised this year because of the space between Bruce’s monitors and their direction, on the opening night I thought the crew accidentally missed to place them in the right way but it remained the same on the tour. Well, there is even some „innovation“ on that.
I think the more streamlined approach fit this tour perfectly. I love the edition of video screens, something they've never done before and fits the theme. I liked the big Eddie though they had a few options, like the Cyborg head or the Senjutsu Album cover head
Anyone else think theres a possibility that Maiden will play the london stadium next year given that Steve had always hes wanted to play at the home of his beloved West Ham?

Did you know that both in wasted years cover and in this tour backdrop there's written in Latin "chrono in situ" wich can be translate with somewhere in time?
You may be right about the live album, but I'd be surprised, with Nicko having recovered so shortly before the tour and it still showing in his performance (God bless him).
I think we all want to know where that " warehouse " is? In lots of interviews with band members they often refer to bits of old stage sets and props being stashed away in the warehouse. Imagine being able to peruse the content of that which charts their stage history :)
@@maidenmovies that's right and I wonder how much it went for in the end as he had to keep dropping the price. I recall the home pub was nice but some of the interior was a bit gaudy. It's probably a pretty huge warehouse somewhere in Essex. Would be great to have a wander around :)
@@michaeldean7220 he has a lot of problems with the house because it is some kind of historical/cultural memorability and you have to care about it a lot! some friend from Slovakia was there… I loved the idea to make this house Maiden museum… even Harry loved it… and that's all I know…

Yes, because they own two versions of the set which is custom built to hide the bass and drum monitors. On for festivals, is on wheels, the other is not. They use 'curtains to cover the set.

The Legacy of the Beast stage was on another level, so this tour’s stage was a bit underwhelming to me. Still loved the show though!
i think the big eddie should have been greater
