POLO IN ENGLAND My wife and I have attended quite a few polo grounds and watched the matches. There is NONE of the aggression which appears to be shown in the USA version. Yes - the events are very much social Occasions where we all chat and socialise. We also go out between chukkas and tread down the divots. I have not seen a collision between polo horses in all the matches I have watched. In fact, I believe that is considered to be a Foul and the player risks being sent off - thus reducing a team from 4 to 3 - a substantial sanction. I do not recognise, from your excepts, the polo game these Americans and Argentinians are playing.
Yes, I have watched Polo in the USA. There is polo and there is polo. The polo Harry engages in is full on animal abuse, different from much of the sport.
Well, that's good then. But it still looks like a really boring "sport". Hopefully PETA will now focus their attention on the animal welfare and ban Polo in the US.
YOU are full of crap, Sir. The nature of the game is to hit a ball while horses are galloping which guarantees they get hit with mallets and each other. There is also a horrifyingly painful bit used in their mouths ( the horses- not the players unfortunately ) not to mention all the other tortures these noble, sweet animals must endure. There is no American and British form. It’s the same stupid, cruel encounter played by the same stupid, cruel men. It is not Pretty Woman. IT’s participants are the vapid and the dull. Meghan and Harry? Need I say more. My advice to you? Don’t hang around Polo grounds or people will think you’re one of them. ( Allegedly, In my opinion )
The whole time I was listening to you, my mind kept drifting off to the people in North Carolina & Northeast Tennessee who're living in tents. No homes. No businesses. No TOWNS. I live in Northeast Tennessee & although we weren't affected as badly as in North Carolina, it's still heartbreaking. I thought Harry considered himself a humanitarian. If he can't help in person, he could certainly buy a few kerosene heaters, or hot tents for these people...but he can't... because he's a hypocrite.
@bjbrown It was reported somewhere that Harry intended to send some cases of water to Florida right after the hurricanes landed there, but I heard nothing after that. Probably just lip service.
Harry doesn't give a damn about the horses and he abuses them just like he doesn't give a damn about those people abused in Africa and he ignores their plight. Are horses and people just 'chess pieces' to this monster creep disgusting ex-Royal?

Imagine signing on as an ‘executive producer’ for a pretentious & dull documentary about a cruel pasttime just so she can yet again try and convince people she’s ‘fluent’ in Spanish. That scripted exchange had absolutely nothing to do with Polo or any of the storylines, her narcissism truly knows no bounds. I’m sure the cutting room floor also had to have a scene of her telling the Polo wives about her dishsoap story.
Ok....this has made me literally HATE these 2 and I don't hate anyone! I'm so not ok w the way they treat the horses....the whole sport needs to be shut down! Enough w the animal abuse already!
There’s no way I could bring myself to watch this. Thanks for doing it so we didn’t have to, Brittany. Aside from the mind numbing boredom on the topic of Polo itself, the cruelty to the poor horses is barbaric. I really hope the mistreatment gets highlighted & something can be done about it as a result.
I'm sure I read somewhere that the heads of defeated troops ,were used as the ball, in the 6th century, only I can't,in my old age, remember which history book I read it in.
I’ve watched a weekend polo match our local farm has and they are not as cruel as those children are. No ramming, no hitting, no pulling on their mouths because they actually care about the horses. Harry strikes me as a person who was told these people are the best in polo. Even though they are cruel, he latches on them and tries to be like them. There’s a line in any animal sport, and it’s theses egotistical and arrogant people that ruin and kill these sports.
I never realized this until recently but there's so much TV I don't watch because it has something my children shouldn't be seeing or hearing. It really does restrict a lot of viewers from a show or movie if they can't watch something with their children.
I think I was kind of hoping for a documentary about some Uber wealthy people who are at the barest minimum able to portray kindness and humility, and are aware of how cruel the sport is to the horses and how they take steps to minimise suffering from the poor horses. The money aspect isn’t what turns people off, most people like seeing the other side as a escape, seeing cool things or morbid curiosity, what turns people off is the rich peoples behaviour and the horrible treatment of the horses.
Makes you wonder why the designer Ralph Lauren (who definitely doesn’t play polo) has called one of his brands ‘Polo’ (which also has a polo pony as a logo) … Lauren even used to use Nacho in his ads. Makes you wonder if Lauren will rethink the name of his brand which denotes elite & sporty lifestyle in his ads but in real life is abusive?
Most people love their horses and commit their whole lives to them. The horses are beloved and well cared for. It is only monsters like this ex-Royal Harry who abuse horses. Harry has exposed himself for the monster he truly is.
There are actually complete safe options for the horses when it comes to breeding, but it has to be done a certain way for it to not be a problem for the animal.
Ooh I'm so excited for your breakdown!I really feel like this could be the dam breaking people. The only thing is, will she take the hint and give the public a break from herself? Probably not. Sadly not. We live in hope!
Thanks, Brittney! Ponies and horses are magnificent creatures. I was privileged once, to live on the corner of a horse farm. Could watch them run and play and jump, as the small herd cavorted around a large field! So they love of the requisite skills for polo, but they don't naturally do this at literally "break neck" speed, and never run into each other. Again Britney, I commend the sound quality of this post. I would listen to the entirety of each post with this very expressive, yet more even voice control and volume. You have really good content!
Thank you for watching the evil polo doc for us while on vacation! As an animal lover I can’t watch. Looking forward to hearing all about your travels! Stay safe Brittany. Love from Chicago. 💜🙏🏼
I have a friend who had a few hundred cows on his farm. He names all of them, including the calves. Can’t say he is the most compassionate person on the planet, but he does value the cows. Most do come when he calls them. I was pretty amazed. People as a whole are much more likely to know their horses by name. No excuse not to know them.
My dad bought five cows with the intention of them winding up in our freezer... When my grandfather found out that my dad had named them, he said, "You never name your food" & he was right: Dad could never bring himself to butcher them. He even teared up when he sold them.

Harry has a terrible tract record when comes to the treatment of polo ponies, where his cruelty has been well documented. So, making this documentary wasn’t a good idea, because it is a reminder of Harry’s nasty past. He got away with his cruelty because he was always protected from the consequences of his actions and because he isn’t very bright he didn’t realise how good he had it in the Royal Family.
Our Son did High School Rodeo,We spent five figures on his horse. But,He is 28 years old and still owns his horse and always treats Her with care and love. He is now a Nationally Ranked Farrier, in fact he competed with the USA Farrier team in England last year, they took second place. There are horse sports that treat their Horses with kindness.Polo is AWFUL for those poor Animals and the biggest offender of Horse abuse is Harry!
@tammymileski3874...this point seems important to you....congratulations on spending a FIVE figure amount on a horse. Comparing broncho riding and polo in terms of animal cruelty...I don't think that either are good at all!
Who’s the audience for this supposed to be, I wonder? I honestly can’t think of a sport less compelling to ordinary people than polo. If anything, it represents so much that is despised about the rich and powerful.
Also the older guy seems like he's deeply unhappy. His obsession with Polo feels like it stems from him avoiding the problems in his life. Like if he can't win in life then maybe he can win in polo and that will make him happy.
There is nothing compelling or interesting about animal abuse, which is all this is. They tried to make a big thing about these people 'caring' for the horses, but like everything else with hank and skank, it's too little too late. We have all seen the pictures of hank spurring his horse till she had deep penetrating wounds and was bleeding, but he cared so much, he just carried on riding her and making the wounds much worse. The story of the pregnant mare that he was told not to ride, and which his PR team are frantically saying isn't true, he rode till she and the foal died. Using these beautiful creatures as nothing more than battering rams, hauling their necks at unnatural angles to change course and the abuse goes on and on. If these were any other people they would be shut down and in court for animal cruelty. Money talks I suppose.
Just looking at the video clips, Polo seems like it’s a wealthy elitist sport. Not only brutal & traumatic to the horses but expensive vet bills. Not something the average person can relate to.
Lmaoooo, Real Houseboys of Polo reeks of Harry & Meghan influence: the superficial characters, shallow storyline’s, excessive ‘’look at me’ opulence., complete indifference to animal cruelty. I guess Meghan brought her extensive D grade Hallmark movie influence. What a bore fest!
There were rescued polo ponies at the facility where I used to board my horse. My experience was that the polo riders would discard young, beautiful horses as soon as they were not adequately performing on the field. The polo players had no emotional attachment to the animals the way most of us see our horses as pets. In my area in Canada, most of these discarded polo horses are sent to auction for meat in Japan. You are correct to call it a cruel sport.
The guards club at Windsor have riders. I've never heard any reports of misuse of the animals. Probably because it's a mix of riders, and most have been military, so are taught to value the animals (just watch documentaries on the King's horse guards), they don't just see them as a commodity. It's also down to the individual characters. Those in the "professional" game are a separate breed 😤
This is Meghan's fluent Spanish The guy: Hi, nice to meet you. Meghan: unclear audio The guy: oh really? Meghan: Unclear audio, yes, around 21 years ago, something like that. The guy: oh, In Verano Viejo?, it’s a really cool place eh? You have a lot of polo fields over there. Meghan: yes, yes, yes I love 25th of May The guy: of course, sure. (Turns to Harry) Do you speak Spanish or not? I had to repeat that scene several times and my first language is Spanish, I wonder why in many parts the audio wasn't clear while she was speaking.
You know, the whole “son and dad” thing reminds me of a certain broken relationship between a father and a son, and in the polo one the son wins, this is Harry’s bitterness and how he’d like the narrative to unfold.
My daughter was an excellent rider back in the day… she did dressage and jumpers…. She was a beautiful and considerate rider and horse lover. She participated in numerous horse shows and we saw a lot of “stuff” both at the shows and at the boarding facility. A good number of people weren’t so wonderful to their horses… pushing them past their limits, not training them with kindness, slapping them if they misbehaved (and honestly, a horse just wants to be a horse, not a machine so who can blame them for getting cranky)…. And there is a particular sport (can’t remember name) where the horse constantly walks and trots with their legs up… it is very cruel how they train a horse for this. The poor horse has to stay in their stall for hours and hours a day with weights on their front ankles and they are roped in the stall so they can’t move around too much. When the weights are removed the horses legs “fly up” and they get this response by using this cruel method. Another thing, dressage, they like the horse’s neck to be rounded… they use special reins to hold their neck down in place until the horse does it on its own. My daughter couldn’t take it anymore. She tried to train her horse differently, but her trainer had different ideas. My daughter gave up riding. The whole horse “world” is pretty awful… unless you are just a casual rider taking your horse out on a trail to enjoy nature.
PS… we saw one trainer take a beautiful horse and jump it over and over so much that the poor thing became permanently lame… and you know what they do with lame horses…. 😢
Watching a bunch of extremely rich entitled people abusing animal for "fun"? (it is not a sport if the animal does all the work). I'll pass. Bye the way, it gets a 2.0/10 rating on IMBD and some of the comments are worth the read. :D
Meghan's already trying to distance herself from the polo documentary by now putting out puff pieces saying they had very little control over how the flopumentary was put together. She did the same thing before the Netflix flopumentary aired by stating it was Liz Garbus's vision and not how she would have told their story. So much for the People magazine PR puff piece stating the contrary. Thanks for watching this steaming pile of garbage because I refuse to watch anything they produce. It's more a reality show than a documentary. Temu Bravo Housewives of Polo.
Oh my goodness I LOVE your new videos on the road❤ you are sorta of whispering but extra expressive! Keep up the amazing work!! And thank you for keeping videos coming. Your work ethic is amazing.
The only way NF will ever score some money back on their colossal mistake, known as *"The Harkle Debacle"* is to make a docu-series about the rise & fall of Prince Dummkopf and Gerty the Grifter. They had camera crews following the scheming couple around for years, so they have enough footage to create, with the right team, a compelling expose´ that could be a real money-maker for the company. But Ted Sarandos seems intent on throwing good money after bad. Maybe he needs a tax write-off?
Why did they not share where Harry rode his mare to death which also killed the foal, all for the sport of polo. They can’t be honest about the sport and how they treat the horses.
One of the players said "I don't even know my horses f***ing names" and that tells me all I need to know about polo as a whole. The Daily Mail did a blinding review of it and I laughed out loud when the writer said about the "women with smooth faces but less smooth necks" 🤣
in the US, there are laws against animal abuse is there not. Netflix needs to rethink it's programing. I don't think anyone is happy watching animal abuse. Sad.

How can you expect this so-called documentary to focus on family when it’s been produced by H and M, neither of whom really understands that concept?
Ask a rancher the name of his working horses and he will definetly know them. Not knowing a riders stock is a poor point for them.
Peta please do something or Animal Control. This is sad and disgusting.
It’s very disturbing what they make the horses do. Thanks for watching!!
This cruelty displayed in the series just reflects the brutality of the exiled couple. They see nothing wrong with abusing animals...or people.
POLO IN ENGLAND
My wife and I have attended quite a few polo grounds and watched the matches. There is NONE of the aggression which appears to be shown in the USA version. Yes - the events are very much social
Occasions where we all chat and socialise.
You are correct. I have attended few events too in France and Africa and, I haven't seen any horses' encounter. The divot gathering is fun😊.
Wasn’t it during a UK polo match that Harry killed the pregnant mare?
Neither of them showed up for any hurricane relief. Nothing. Shame on them.
@bjbrown
It was reported somewhere that Harry intended to send some cases of water to Florida right after the hurricanes landed there, but I heard nothing after that. Probably just lip service.
Harry doesn't give a damn about the horses and he abuses them just like he doesn't give a damn about those people abused in Africa and he ignores their plight. Are horses and people just 'chess pieces' to this monster creep disgusting ex-Royal?
I agree, I was shocked that Netflix OK'd this. Nobody but the 1% cares about Polo.
Netflix should have gone with Harry's other ideas, like interviewing Putin and the Pope. 😅😅😅
Haha, maybe!!
Maybe Southpark could feature the Prince of Canada doing a group interview a la Jerry Springer😂
Focused on the father son rivalry. That’s all that’s in Harry’s brain. Rivalry. Glad to know I was right and this is an epic flop.
@@GlorindellenRiigght! The Prince of Canada and his Stupid Wife! C'Mon SouthPark....let's do a whole series on these idiots! They have definitely given SP enough material to work with. Lol.
My biggest impression about polo is that Christian Bale in Batman seemed absolutely disgusted when Alfred suggested he play polo. I guess I stand withBatman on this one 😂
Thanks Brittany, there is no way i would watch polo even if they paid me ❤
It’s true. And we have lots of shows that showcase wealth but this one misses the mark for so many reasons.
Why is not surprising…because it’s them. Again thank you Brittany for doing the hard work of watching it for us…
You are so welcome!!
Angela Levin said she fell asleep at one point😂😂😂😂😂
Imagine signing on as an ‘executive producer’ for a pretentious & dull documentary about a cruel pasttime just so she can yet again try and convince people she’s ‘fluent’ in Spanish. That scripted exchange had absolutely nothing to do with Polo or any of the storylines, her narcissism truly knows no bounds. I’m sure the cutting room floor also had to have a scene of her telling the Polo wives about her dishsoap story.
Absolutely rubbish. Bad for Netflix
I love how they all say ‘I have to win’ in what should be a team sport.
I didn't pick up on that but you are totally right. It should be 'I want my team to win.' Thanks.
If H&M don’t realize their show should be family friendly but leave in cursing it is one more data point that they might not have any children.
Very good point.
Meghan demanded Harry give up his friends & shooting weekends because it's cruel to animals, but is ok with polo? That's hypocritical.
The great feminist producing oops executive producing a programme on men's sport.....not a good look for old Meg.
Hypocritical, and yes
Ok....this has made me literally HATE these 2 and I don't hate anyone! I'm so not ok w the way they treat the horses....the whole sport needs to be shut down! Enough w the animal abuse already!
There’s no way I could bring myself to watch this. Thanks for doing it so we didn’t have to, Brittany. Aside from the mind numbing boredom on the topic of Polo itself, the cruelty to the poor horses is barbaric. I really hope the mistreatment gets highlighted & something can be done about it as a result.
I think it will be!!
Polo was at first a training game for cavalry units, usually the king's guard or other elite troops in Iran - way back 6th century bc.
Ah interesting! That I would enjoy learning about more than what we’ve got. Thanks for watching!!
@@RoyalNewsNetwork
Quite. Interesting.
Netflix should have employed Yasmeen - it might have been worth watching.
I agree! They seem unnecessarily cruel to the horses for sure! It’s so awful! Thanks for watching!!
What a horrible and horrific sport! Maybe the one good thing is that H$M have inadvertently given awareness to the cruelty of polo to the horses!
Thank you for watching it so we don't have to!
Thank you for Brittany. I have never watched anything the. Harkels have done and never will.
Hi Brittany, thanks for taking one for the team 😊 fr Australia
You are so welcome!
Polo is a lifestyle" - gawd, what a life of purpose and meaning you are living.
Yeah, it’s really rather hollow. Thanks for watching!!
Horses have been selectively bred by humans, and the outcomes have been terrible for the horses.
That is true!
We can only hope. 🙏🏼
I don’t think so, but this documentary is another example of their ineptitude. They aren’t good at this. Thanks for watching!!
They should have told the history of "pholo" and how it spread around the world, Also the rules and how you score,
THAT I would've been interested in.
And show how owners care for their horses and what happens when their racing days are over???...
@@mariarevell4836 yes
Thank you for watching the evil polo doc for us while on vacation! As an animal lover I can’t watch. Looking forward to hearing all about your travels! Stay safe Brittany. Love from Chicago. 💜🙏🏼
Aww, thank you so much!! This is definitely more of a work trip than vacation, but next week I’ll be pretty quiet! Thanks for watching!!
Agree, not knowing the names of his ponies pretty much shows that he sees them as objects. He probably names his pricey car lol
@ No joke! Very sad.
@@Babette-cr2zuhe came across as a cold hearted, arrogant, cruel narcissist with psychopathic traits. No boundaries, no conscience or respect and feelings for anyone or any animal, my opinions and allegedly
Harry complained that the polo mallet he bought from eBay was too short, they told him to get off his high horse.
Bwaa Ha Ha Ha! 😂
Good one!🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
😂😂
🤣🤣🤣🤣
Brittany in all sincerity. God Bless You 🙏, I do not have Netflix and Polo was not going to go any way to change my mind! I have seen clips and think it looks dire! ❤️🎄🤶🎄❤
You are so welcome!!
Thanks Im glad you watched for us.
My whole feeling is, as others have said, 'Who cares?'
When are these two and Netflix going to be held accountable for abusing these poor horses? Where's the public outcry, the MSM, the animal rights organizations? What can we do and who will care? I'm so sick of Markle and her dimwitted handbag getting away with the carnage they leave in their wake.
Thank you for such a great review of, "Polo." Since H&M were the executive producers, I'm not surprised it was a boring, poorly filmed documentary.
So NOT watching. Here's hoping the horses stage a revolt.
Harry an meg should absolutely ashamed to be associated with this Cruel sport which should have been Banned years ago
What a vapid and cruel sport. It’s a reflection of the Harkles for sure.
You are the hardest working youtuber. Hats off to you Britney!
It's disgusting what they do to the horses. AWFUL
I did not like polo but after I have heard Britney I hate it!
Who’s the audience for this supposed to be, I wonder? I honestly can’t think of a sport less compelling to ordinary people than polo. If anything, it represents so much that is despised about the rich and powerful.
I really hope that the ASPCA investigates and puts some pressure on Netflix. Thank you for your vlog Brittany
Also the older guy seems like he's deeply unhappy.
His obsession with Polo feels like it stems from him avoiding the problems in his life.
Like if he can't win in life then maybe he can win in polo and that will make him happy.
That sounds like Harry too.
Well Janice you know what they say!!!.....Anyone who abuses animals have also got psychopathic tendencies.
What I'm getting here is that polo is a rich man's boring, expensive pastime.
Just looking at the video clips, Polo seems like it’s a wealthy elitist sport. Not only brutal & traumatic to the horses but expensive vet bills.
Not something the average person can relate to.
Exactly. No average person can relate to this. Thanks for watching!!
This is Meghan's fluent Spanish
The guy: Hi, nice to meet you.
Meghan: unclear audio
The guy: oh really?
Meghan: Unclear audio, yes, around 21 years ago, something like that.
The guy: oh, In Verano Viejo?, it’s a really cool place eh? You have a lot of polo fields over there.
Meghan: yes, yes, yes
I love 25th of May
The guy: of course, sure.
Dressage is being watched very closely… it’s turned into high-end Mexican/charro horse abuse, and there is nothing beautiful about either.
Half of the "documentary" make me think of a very cheezy telenovela😅
Thank you Brittany. The abuse or horses is horrible 😢
I can't stomach the animal abuse😢
1. As a feminist, how did Meghan work with these men who are so obviously prejudiced against women? Why did she of all people film this behavior?
MM wants to introduce the ‘game’ to Hollywood and it be a place for the elite to gather, which she is striving to be included among… imo
Thank you Brittany ❤
in the US, there are laws against animal abuse is there not. Netflix needs to rethink it's programing. I don't think anyone is happy watching animal abuse. Sad.
My boss used to say, 'Do you know how a man with horses has one million dollars? He started with two million.'
