Just tried out this build, looking at the charged bolts all around you killing enemies all of a sudden is very satisfying. Without the best affixes yet, and just lvl 15 glyphs, no tibaults will, not using rainment,And renown not complete, the ticks are already around 600k-800k. I actually love this one, I'm getting kinda sick of the lightning balls tbh. Lol
I ran lvl 95 with my non seasonal using a ball lightning. I can say I was getting sick of how much I had to spam. I tried this. it's working but needs some tweaks. I also have no Tibaults will and I swapped out Raiment for more dmg mitigation. I don't get 700 ticks. I have 53% lucky hit and wondering if IM not doing something right.
Every other day I see a new best build 🤣 Blizzard should pay attention to this and let us save loadouts and switch between them with ease and not having to redo the skill tree and paragon over and over. One click and switch Destiny 2 has been dying out but at least they got that right lol great content bro! Keep it up!
Thank you for doing the work on this build. I'm finally tanky enough for T100 Nightmares in ways full-on Ball Lighting couldn't accomplish. Yes, the damage on this is less on bosses and I'm often mana-starved on them, but it's worth it. T100 feels like T35's!
In case someone reads this: I am playing this build now, and after exchanging the breast plate with another unique one, I was able to clear lvl 1 of this new Zir dungeon. Beside that, I have cleared everything else and also killed 4 other players (by accident) in PVP, including all the most feared barbarians, one of those rota ball sorcerers (THE meta build in season 2) and a druid. Don't underestimate this build. It is a lot of fun. Now i just have to find a place for the new glyphe.
Gave it a try and it's great. I can't get Tibault's Will pants to drop, so I'm substituting Ice Blades for Blizzard and Chain Lightning (Destructive) for Lightning Spear to get more Crackling Energy for mana. Also using offset points from +skill on gear to add 2 points to Static Discharge for more CEs. With no Tibaults, I can leave Disobedience on pants and run Elementalist Aspect on the Amulet, giving a huge boost to Crit Strike Chance for Charged Bolts, Chain LIte, and Ball Lite. With 166 mana and all that Cracklin Energy it's pretty hard NOT to cast at above 100. This build slaps.
Super interesting. Incredibly good work theory crafting and executing this build! Looks incredibly fun and effective, and it wouldn't shock me if this turned out to be better than ball lightning in Zir content. Keep making great and unique content!
once you finally have decent ilvl gear with near perfect rolls it just becomes nearly impossible to spec out of your build. Who the f wants to sift through 5000 rares again to find items for a new build that they may or may not enjoy
@@night31869well the difference between this and ball lightning is not that big. You need a little bit more lucky hit and the staff and falstaff (which constantly drop on bosses) + one aspect for your gloves. But yeah if you wanna respec to a fireball sorc, that is horrible or something like that, it is hard work… you basically have to know while farming and keeping those second gear choices in your stash
I just specced out of it myself and honestly its not that bad same glyphs I was using for both builds and most of the items I just moved over to this build since all but three are uniques. I just rerolled my three lego items to put lucky hit on them. So its not to bad of a change. I then kept all the gear like 3 pieces 1ring then main and offhand weapon for incase I go back to Ball Lightning

Earlier in the season, I tried to get a CB build since I didn't want to be a cookie cutter. Couldn't get anywhere near BL. This is what I have been waiting for. Thank you so much
Im new to Sorc in S2 and I went the cookie cutter BL build. On the way there, I saw so many great things for Charged Bolts that I was perplexed why no one really looked in to making a good CB build.
I'm running this now... It's better than I would've thought... But, I don't think the fire botl enchantment + X'fals is really doing much. I suspect it's not actually stacking lucky hit proc application as you state. I tested and no matter how many stacks I applied the x'fals proc didn't seem to scale (what even is the lucky hit of the fire bolt enchantment burning?). Even without that though, it's still a strong build with good gear. Took me like 20+ Grigore/Ice Beast runs to farm a well-rolled staff of lam. You're basically trading off DPS/speed from BL for more DR/survivability. I'd never have tried this build without your video though, so good find/recommend.

Been using this 100% crit chance and unlimited mana with starless skies ..literally can't run low on mana even if I try..tried xfals and while it's fun, there is something amazing about remaining permanently above 100 mana and keeping that crit at 100% chance
@@WintersGaomy build is slightly different. I run disobedience on my chest as I hit armor cap anyways without it on my amulet. I then use the aspect elementalist on my amulet for 40% crit chance when cash at or above 100 mana. That combined with a max rolled esus boots and crit chance on some gear keeps me topped up
You should get rid of the % armor, and the armor gems on rings/neck (replace with all resist). This will save you a couple paragon pts too as you can pull some all resist off as well. With item level 925 gear and a max rank disobedience on a neck, you are way above the 85% cap for physical damage reduction. This way you will have capped resistance to all types of damage and the cap for armor damage reduction as well. Currently with aspect stacked up you probably have 5000 extra armor that isn't doing anything.
Thanks for this video, this could be a refreshing change of phase and considering that I have all the perfectly rolled uniques required to try this accumulating dust in my stash and I was already using disobedience on my necklace, I'll keep an eye out for the remaining 2 slots with a lucky hit roll and I'll definitely give this a go, at the very least it'll help squeeze a few more hours out of my Sorc! What a season it was to rekindle the love for this class ❤
Tried this for a couple days. Switched back to ball lightning because once you destroy everything in your path its hard to settle for something that is ultimately a lot less powerful. I appreciate the build for what it is. In theory fun. Was fun in helltide. Not fun in t100. Didnt feel tanky. Still died cause it doesnt deal damage as fast. Cool idea though. Thanks for sharing.
Piercing Static is awesome with this build. I tried this build earlier today without it and struggled a lot with large group of enemy. Thing got a lot better with Piercing Static, now they just melt before me.
Level 90 and have everything needed for this build. Tried this on uber lilith and im having mana issues and dieing alot. Also my barrier is not up all the time.

My lucky hit was just under 85% to so theres not reason why i should be having mana issues with how many chain lightings im casting to begin with and how many times they hit. Might be im not level 100 but i mean what can 30 more paragon points really do to make the build work?
Not bad. Managed to do an 82 fairly easy with no Lam Essan staff...accidentally deleted it. LOL Even managed to take out Duriel fairly fast too...with the staff I think it will go much easier.
I am so happy to see this works. I theory crafted it when I got the staff to drop but I’m only lvl 80 and don’t have the rings or tibaults yet so lacking serious firepower :)

I would say to skip undying for really high tier content because eventually you reach a point where if you take even a few hits you might as well be getting one shot by stuff so you're better off with the extra added damage over health tics simply for killing things faster and getting rid if the threat quicker. At least that's my idea behind it.
You sir have a god tier build, only need a little changes! Change the light spear and use ball lightning whit the gravital aspect and use wand and focus insted of staff, for getting some of more aspects and stats, go live happy and happy and delete all content you deal it. (sorry for my bad english, greetins from Brazil!)
I haven't had a chance to run this yet but I think i'd probably throw gravitational aspect on a piece of gear to swap for bosses. Swap lightening spear for ball and boom easy fast boss kills. Might be the move for abattoir of zir (sorry if that was your new new best sorc build :D )
Very cool build. But since this is a high end build, can you please advice for example what a level 20 sorceress should put the points in first to be able to kill things and still eventually get to this build?
Lol so funny thing is, i accidentally made this build when trying to build ball lightning. I ended up stayin with this build and my mates thought i was crazy
this build is so op it breaks my game...literally ...anytime i go inside a nm dungeon and start fighting i "lose connection to the servers" but i can spend hours in helltide and doing other things just fine i can even go to my rogue and farm nm dungeons just fine but not my sorc it does it EVERY single dungeon
Are you sure Dot damage actually works the way you say? Aka it having many "invisible" ticks rather than you just increasing the damage of one tick when adding more dot damage? Anyone than can clarify is most welcome to do so.
@@SexiPapi I did a little bit of Fire Wall testing and Rage might actually be right. From what I see Xfal does proc more the more Fire Walls I cast. I cant 100% confirm this but it does appear so.
I really dont know. I tried using Xfal, crazy high Att speed and lucky chance with fire bolt enchantment. I really dont see more procs. It might work with Fire Wall, but I honestly dont think it works with Fire Bolt.
I was running charged bolts until I could upgrade to ball lightning bc that was the hot build but charged bolts was so much more fun I'm probably switching back after this.

@chesian try it out, idk about you but I've got so much gold idk what to do with it all...lol. Change to the Staff and Change your spamming skill to charged bolt, get the pierce aspect and just play around with the gear/aspects you DO have. Probably play around with enchantments too. Doesn't have to be "perfectly built" imo
If you just need many hits to proc firebolt dot why not add 1 point to the passive next to the gain mana when picking up crackling energy. And will the same consept work with ice spikes?
This looks awesome and it’s nice to have a sorcerer that’s a little different from the ball lightning. I also like the fact that she kills from afar - go figure😆. I need to make another sorcerer to take advantage of this build. Thanks for another great build!
Every single video always claims infinite mana... yeah doesn't work for me, especially on this build and I've tried 2 similar. Always run out of mana, completely esp on charged.
Cool build, but if you haven’t tested this out maybe you can if you have the time coz what about the bounces with chain lightning? Does the cast count as one hit even though it bounces around or does the bounce also count as a separate hit if so then it would also apply more stacks of DoT’s.
Hmmmm, looks interesting, but one question, how do you get Tibaults Will to process if there seems to be very little, if any form of 'unstoppable'? Usually with Tibaults Will you would have Metamorphosis to proc unstoppable, or am I missing something?
Been playing Ball lightning since the start of the season and I was bored with it. Also it’s not the funnest play style since you just spam balls and run into enemies but it’s effective as hell, especially against bosses. Switched over to this build yesterday and I am having an ABSOLUTE BLAST. The glyphs are not maxed out yet for this build but they are getting there and it’s so fun. Just struggling a bit with the bosses atm but I think that’s because 3 of my glyphs are not levelled yet. There’s another variant of this build going around which doesn’t use the xfal and doesn’t focus so much on lucky bit because of that but I dunno how that will be compared to this.

I cannot express how good this turned out to be, there's no doubt in my mind its the most well rounded Sorcerer build in Season 2!

I took your build changed 1 per board and adjusted the aspects a little. Different skills. Best frost build I have found.

If we could run 2 different skill and gear set ups I would definitely try this. I might try it anyways. Just hate specing out of ball lightning

works well with chain also, thats how i been running it and the xfals ticks are hitting for 4 mil at the moment.

Not for T100 NM as you need 14kish Armor to have the 85% reduction

also abatoir of zir will have monsters even higher level than T100 so more armor is needed

This may be needed when the ball lightneing tick bug is fixed. People seem to not realize that BL is bugged and not supposed to hit that fast

You can get the lucky hit on the last board and still stay with 70 Resistance across the board. Just move the 4 paragon points from the First board
and he said Tal rasha's twice just to indicate it is nice 10:46 and at 11:12 :P

You need more armour or life then maybe. You're gonna want as much as you can get on the gear that can get it.
Which Aspect could you kost easily go without? Im planning using the Harlequin Crest instead.

For the 5th vampirism power for hard content why not go undying?

Will this build hold up well in season 3?
I haven't had a chance to run this yet but I think i'd probably throw gravitational aspect on a piece of gear to swap for bosses. Swap lightening spear for ball and boom easy fast boss kills. Might be the move for abattoir of zir (sorry if that was your new new best sorc build :D )
How good is this for leveling before xfals?
Having tons of mana issues on this one. Might have to swap from lucky chance increases to cost reduction.

Very cool build. But since this is a high end build, can you please advice for example what a level 20 sorceress should put the points in first to be able to kill things and still eventually get to this build?

Lol so funny thing is, i accidentally made this build when trying to build ball lightning. I ended up stayin with this build and my mates thought i was crazy
this build is so op it breaks my game...literally ...anytime i go inside a nm dungeon and start fighting i "lose connection to the servers" but i can spend hours in helltide and doing other things just fine i can even go to my rogue and farm nm dungeons just fine but not my sorc it does it EVERY single dungeon
Is this better than the occulus build? Can it incorporate raiment and gravity ball lightning?
Are you sure Dot damage actually works the way you say? Aka it having many "invisible" ticks rather than you just increasing the damage of one tick when adding more dot damage? Anyone than can clarify is most welcome to do so.

@@SexiPapi I did a little bit of Fire Wall testing and Rage might actually be right. From what I see Xfal does proc more the more Fire Walls I cast. I cant 100% confirm this but it does appear so.
I really dont know. I tried using Xfal, crazy high Att speed and lucky chance with fire bolt enchantment. I really dont see more procs. It might work with Fire Wall, but I honestly dont think it works with Fire Bolt.
How much of the damage is based on the gear? And how long did it take to find the gear that you’re using?

I was running charged bolts until I could upgrade to ball lightning bc that was the hot build but charged bolts was so much more fun I'm probably switching back after this.
What is priority in staff? Raw damage or the percentage in the unique ability? Thanks
Looks super fun. Still on my first char, playing BL at 63 now.. But considering this.
I swapped from BL as soon as I got the staff drop and don't regret it, super fun

@chesian try it out, idk about you but I've got so much gold idk what to do with it all...lol. Change to the Staff and Change your spamming skill to charged bolt, get the pierce aspect and just play around with the gear/aspects you DO have. Probably play around with enchantments too. Doesn't have to be "perfectly built" imo

If you just need many hits to proc firebolt dot why not add 1 point to the passive next to the gain mana when picking up crackling energy. And will the same consept work with ice spikes?
This looks quite fun to play i might make a second sorc to try this out fully. Curious tho if you could run this build with chain lightning instead?

This looks awesome and it’s nice to have a sorcerer that’s a little different from the ball lightning. I also like the fact that she kills from afar - go figure😆. I need to make another sorcerer to take advantage of this build. Thanks for another great build!

Every single video always claims infinite mana... yeah doesn't work for me, especially on this build and I've tried 2 similar. Always run out of mana, completely esp on charged.

Cool build, but if you haven’t tested this out maybe you can if you have the time coz what about the bounces with chain lightning? Does the cast count as one hit even though it bounces around or does the bounce also count as a separate hit if so then it would also apply more stacks of DoT’s.

Hmmmm, looks interesting, but one question, how do you get Tibaults Will to process if there seems to be very little, if any form of 'unstoppable'? Usually with Tibaults Will you would have Metamorphosis to proc unstoppable, or am I missing something?

Been playing Ball lightning since the start of the season and I was bored with it. Also it’s not the funnest play style since you just spam balls and run into enemies but it’s effective as hell, especially against bosses.
Switched over to this build yesterday and I am having an ABSOLUTE BLAST. The glyphs are not maxed out yet for this build but they are getting there and it’s so fun.
Just struggling a bit with the bosses atm but I think that’s because 3 of my glyphs are not levelled yet.
There’s another variant of this build going around which doesn’t use the xfal and doesn’t focus so much on lucky bit because of that but I dunno how that will be compared to this.
Still waiting for a fun meteor build ☄️

Does this build function well during the leveling process? Say level 50-100 ranges? Or is this just very, very dependent on the equipment?
You need some of the uniques to really make it work : staff and both of the rings
