Watching the British MEP's leave just then made me smile, really wide smiles all around. Waving those proud British flags about, love it. Long live a free United Kingdom. Not the European Union. I have a feeling after this the EU will 'reform' in a way with a policy to keep other nations from being able to leave the EU, that's the vibe I got from the majority of the talks.

Started respectfully and then deteriorated to show that he has learned nothing and that he wants the EU to have an even tighter grip on the throats of it's members. All this while they are trying to fast track full-membership for some new countries (and they don't talk about that in the media) who will be recipients of cash from a reduced number of net-contributors to the EU's funds (The UK was the 2nd biggest after German).

In his speech, a wake-up speech, Verhofstadt describes to the Chamber, several serious flaws in the current system of Eu, flaws which led to Brexit, later in the speech Verhofstadt advocates changes to the system of the Eu, it is clear Brexit has convinced Verhofstadt of the urgent need for reform of the Eu Parliament and Commission

I just hope his mention of the blood shed by the people of our commonwealth sinks in. The EU has a massive debt to many countries. Talk of those unhappy we are leaving makes me bewildered. Why anyone would want our country governed by an outside force is totally beyond my understanding, especially one that thinks it's ok to dump thousands of tons of dead and dying fish back into the sea each year because of quotas !
