i'm picking up an 18 plate 1.5 cdi tekna next week, really looking forward to driving it, i would've liked a power tailgate on a tekna but its pretty much fully loaded as it is!
Having driven the Qashqai and some of its rivals, I have to say that this review is one of the few that dares to tell it like it is. The Qashqai is so popular for a reason. It simply is an excellent car and it gets maintained very well by Nissan as well. Meanwhile, Nissan added semi autonomous driving, Android Auto and Apple car play alongside with a (outstanding) TomTom sat nav, USB Ports in the back, a fantastic 1.3 Turbo with a 7 speed DCT... One advice for the reviewers; If you mount your camera to the car, you will get a tremendous amount of structure-borne sound on your audio track, which makes the car appear super loud. A set of lavalier mics (or better headsets, since the lavalier often collides with the seat belt) will help tremendously. Or you get a rode video mic wich is suspended and therefor a bit more decoupled from the vehicles structure. Thanks for this review, awsome job!
I have had my 1.5 Diesel now for a year now, I bought it second hand. No regrets at all, it just keep going, its reliable, its comfy enough, storage is OK, audio speakers are great, the only negative I can think of is that cruise control does not "read" the car in front of you to adjust... also... the touch screen controller feels a bit old and out of date.... otherwise I have no regrets at all in any areas. I would even buy one again if this was stolen or broke down.
You know you’ve the perfect vehicle when you can say that, adaptive cruise control is becoming more and readily available too as us extra safety, thank you
Hey Qashqai lovers, am looking for a used one if anyone has leads to a considerable low price... I have not seen one in my country "Kenya", I would like to be the first one cruising around, I checked sbt beforward dealers, inflate prices unreasonably. Question is, what would be the budget for 6 years old used?
Just stumbled across your Page. I‘m impressed by your honest reviews 👍🏽 I’ve now watched many reviews. Detailed and insightful! This is the exact car I’ve had from March 2018. But in the 1.5 Diesel engine. I now need to downsize due to mostly town driving. Wanting a fun, stylish small car. Petrol. That economical but fun. And can handle daily living of town driving. And occasionally weekend motorway drive. Any suggestions guys? 👍🏽 I’m torn between new Fiesta ST-line X or Seat Ibiza FR. but the fact the FR has manual rear windows is very off-putting!
7:30 it is boring to drive! It is literally the slowest and most bulky car I have ever driven. And yeah it does 70mpg on the motorway but day to day? You will get 28mpg if you're lucky.
It’s not, you can’t have driven many vehicles like this, by far it’s not the slowest in its class, that doesn’t make sense, have you had a challenging experience? Have you driven the new one? The new one is most definitely an improvement, even though we enjoyed this one. Edit - review on new one coming soon
@@PlanetautoUK Mine is from 2019 I just got it from work as someone left and it had a year left on the lease and they were renting what I had. Don't get me wrong it's like a space ship in terms of options. But it's SO slow and actually not very good on fuel unless you take it on the motorway.
@@PlanetautoUK it’s amazing on the motorway as in 70mpg. But my mileage is paid exactly with what I spent in a month. So work miles? It’s great but personal miles popping about? 28 - 35?mpg. I’d rather it was the opposite!
@@srspower there are far more economical motors out there, bear in mind there’s no hybrid not even MHEV, the Genesis GV70 on the forecourt currently I’m getting 16.9 mpg 😆😆😆 thank you SRSPower

Thank you, great SUV and we use a Rode professional mic
Back through the back catalogue again, excellent Review as always guys, the qashqai looks really good in that shade of blue.
Thank you Davy, we hope to get the new one soon.

Splendid review
Thank you so much *Annabelle
Absolutely love mine such a nice car
They are a great SUV, thank you
Do they do this vehicle in a 4x4 or awd when needed?
The auto mode allows awd with torque vectoring and slippage detection, hope this helps Paul, thank you *B
How quiet is the car in the high speed?
It’s nice and refined, unless under load, thank you Akbar
@@PlanetautoUK Thank you for making these videos! I really appreciate it.
You are very welcome Akbar and thank you for your questions and comments
5:12 The boot is tiny even compared to a ford Puma.
It’s not tiny by any stretch of the imagination, this size suits most people.

Seen some in Nairobi
Thank you

hmm we'll have a think, and thank you.
The Suzuki Swift seems a car that would fit your needs, try one, we think you'll be surprised, one thing not quite as luxurious as the Qashqai.
What is your mpg normally town driving
Nice colour
You've got!
We’ve the new one next week 😆 thank you L S
Does it have traction control? and did you try it out?
oneandonlybatfoy yes, works well just helps with grip
Curious affability (no disagreements)
Presume your'e a family? which would be more odd.
It has, and no we’re not a family, thank you *ben
@@PlanetautoUK Weird so then
Engine???

@@PlanetautoUK Thanks, and nice review.

Strange, the one we had wasn’t slow, it’s not an FK8, but it wasn’t bad, economy was pretty good too.
