CUIXMALA | Celebrating the 50th Annual Earth Day

The recent celebrations for the 50th annual Earth Day were an important opportunity for us all to reflect on our personal impact on the natural world, and what more we can do to protect it. The Ecological Foundation of Cuixmala, coordinated by Dr. Alvaro Miranda, strives to protect the exceptional ecological environment of the 30,000 acre Chamela-Cuixmala Biosphere Reserve, through the conservation of species, ecosystems and ecological processes, as well as educational outreach and extensive research programmes.
This remains as important to us today as it was when the nature reserve was first created in 1988. In loving memory of Sir James and Manes Goldsmith, and in continued appreciation of Alix Marcaccini Goldsmith and family for their dedication to this remarkable mission, we are pleased to share this video looking back on the work of the foundation to date.
