Why are they the only ones still practicing these traditions? How come these customs aren't being replicated by anyone else in the world? Just another example of "I'm white and I say so." You do realize that this particular ethnic group of Africans can have curly, wavy, and straight hair right? These are Dravidian/Hamitic peoples', hence their so-called "Caucasoid" emphasis on the quotations, skull shape and features. Africa is the most genetically diverse place on Earth. We are the original humans and all phenotypes come from us. These are known facts. Like Afar Robito said, back your claim up with some facts or get the hell out. Your white word doesn't hold weight anymore.

What a beautiful and unique people they are very interesting but you know what's funny they are labeled as being caucasian when they are some of the oldest people in the world long before the so called caucasian or negro they are their own unique people who live in some of the most remote places in the world and the oldest remains found in the world belong to the very same people so they are some of humans earliest ancestors.

I dont think SOMALIS and Oromos are the oldest group of people. THE video shows a Somali clan named ESSAS and oromos who are related to each other than to the Afar people. IT is possible the Afar people are the oldest group of people since the oldest skeleton is found in Afar land and their hair styles are not something new rather it was ancient and today they have that unique hair style which might indicate they dont belong to any category and they are independent group that lived for thousands of years.

David Price Well most common people think the term Caucasian means white because of how it is used in America. But if you are going to use the standard in Anthropology it just means any human whoes skull type consist of the following feature: sharp, slender nose/nasal cavity, rounded top of skull, moderate to small lips, small mandible/jaw bone which sets directly under the face and with no protrusion. But there is nothing wrong with what you have said it's just that a lot of people are not educated. ITs all about what ever standards you use to describe types of humans.

that is true .. Ancient egytpians came from Ta seti - Ta seti held 2 of Cushtic tribes who represented today in Beja and Afars .. there were once one tribe before Afar breaking away and moving southward and more sub afar tribe broke like somalis who move further south and so on .. Afar and Beja were one tribe originally and many believe they are the sons of Kush fourth son sab-tee-ka, while the rest of africans are decsendants of kush other sons Bantu's are believed to be Sons of Kush first Son Nimrod while the sans could be the sons of Kush third son Sab-Ta (not mistaken with sam or shem son) Kush off course is Ham son while ham other descendents from his other sons around the world in ancient times. Beja language is 70% identical with the old ancient egyptians language vefore it was modified many times by invaders. this is why western archologist used to hire beja people to translate old dynasty scriptures but they would never tell you that.

Haile Selassie looks that way because he has a large mixture of different Ethiopian ethnic groups. Then you can look at Mengistu, who is only mixed(known) with 2 ethnic groups.

Superstar, that is a very simplistic view. What is written on that article doesn't state that populations of East Africa(not concentrated on Somalis) are "mixed". It is establishing a link between the "non-African and African populations", "recent common ancestry of non-African populations, from a small population originating in eastern Africa". The theories such as the Southern Arabian theory are no longer supported.

It is one of the most common Haplogroups outside of Africa, as a matter of fact 90% of all non-Africans have it. That INCLUDES Polynesia, Oceania, etc., which are certainly not related to Europeans or "Eurasians" as you say. Furthermore, to say that Asia is united by one Haplogroup, I most respectfully say that is quite a stretch.
