So what happened with the motor? Just that rocker arm failed? Had to clean up the metal pieces? Have you also had any valve spring problems? (Ticking) I went ahead and pulled my valve cover off and found a bent push rod. Took everything apart. Replaced lifters. Haven’t had a problem since. But I still have a ticking noise that comes and goes. Someone mentioned it could be a valve getting stuck open.
Yup it was just that rocker arm that failed. No other damage in the motor. And yes I did have to clean up the metal pieces. And no I haven’t had any problems with the valve springs on my car just the rocker arm was the only issue. No ticking or anything from me 👍🏼

Ima bout to change the lifters in my ls3 this weekend they started tapping smh, do u have to cut the exhaust? I have headers and its straight piped
Nahhh you shouldn’t have to cut the exhaust. The only reason I cut mine was because I had some issues getting the headers back in place and I didn’t have them clamped onto the exhaust so that was my only option. You should be good though as long as everything fits right
@@thenextgear2012 ok i thought i would be but then i was like damn he had to cut his lol, i gota pull the heads tomorrow got the headers loose and the intake pulled off, im just a youtube mechanic hope this fixes my problems thanks for the reply sir
@@thenextgear2012 i got it finished its not liking to idle when u first start it unless u give it gas and help it and it likes to die when u come to a red light if u arent careful but runs really good when driving, i believe it needs a retune or has a vacuum leak lol thanks for all the info
