Growing up in the 70's. I love Gladys knight and the Pips and till today. When I listen to her music, my mind starts to drift and reminisce about old cool memories. She is so beautiful. Gladys was n always will be my favorite female singer. She had a voice that gave me goosebumps. I also love hearing her talk.

Wow, I haven’t heard them perform this particular set list since I was 10 years old. My grandfather is/ was legendary Choreographer Cholly Atkins and my uncle is Pip William Guest (he married my mom’s sister) and I saw this particular show at least 20 to 30 times and I’ve never forgotten it! The inimitable Gladys Knight, whose voice is just remarkable in both its sweetness and range. She definitely is one-of-a-kind. In my mind, our greatest female pop singers were Ella Fitzgerald, Sarah Vaughn and Dinah Washington. I think Gladys tops that list. And that is saying something.
These women were phenomenal singers, BUT Sarah Vaughan and Aretha stood apart as they were also musicians. Gladys Knight is just beautiful and has the CHURCH flavor totally. Very high-spirit! The Pips were her PERFECT complement. They were sharp!
