Can't believe this is a high school production! One of the best on TH-cam! What an amazing show, very talented cast and band. Really impressive vocals and choreography too! Frank is fantastic!
The actors and pit seem to be the most praised in the theater. Roles like stage manager, director, crew, both are undervalued members of every production, when in fact without the creative team the production would likely not be on stage.
I am a tech guy and just watching the scale of the quick light changes the cue calling must be rapid fire saying, "hold cue 4, 3, and 5," then call "go" as many cues there are that need to be called from the booth. I am also an actor. I think being an actor makes me a better booth person, and being a booth guy makes me more aware of whether or not I am in my light which makes me a better actor.
I was the lighting designer and board operator for this show. There was actually no calling stage manager so I was on my own for all of it. The fact that I designed it helped when running the show.
the electric kits allow for the sound to be more full which usually is good but doesn’t rlly work on a more dynamic song like that one. I think it was played well i actually played drums in this show for the amity one i did the exact same style and beat i just was using an acoustic kit so i was able to be more intimidate w it. From the sound of it i think this kids got an electric kit w some real cymbals maybe?
