I felt that one, Nearly lost ya boat in the lock. 😂 I found myself an easy way, I have sussed solo sailing in and out of marina locks is to clip a line around the bottom of the centre shroud/centre of the boat. pull it in while you wait for the lock to open, mine is only a glorified dingy tho.😹 Fair winds and near shores to you both.👍⛵️💨
Good idea, I bet it can be a bit tricky when on your own sometimes. I think I went into the lock a bit fast as well. 😂 We loved Hartlepool Marina and will definitely be back. 😃

Great example of showing others how not to get off a boat when approaching a pontoon! I always tell the crew to step ashore, not jump and it's my job on the helm to get the boat close enough they can do so. Please be careful. I know it's tricky but any footage you can get of Takaza in difficult conditions would be so good to see. Good spot for Seaham, I didn't know there was a suitable harbour there. Happy sailing.
Thanks David, I went into the lock a bit fast I think as well. Seaham is such a nice place it’s a little leisure fishing harbour and only has about 8 yachts but so picturesque and friendly place. They can accommodate up to 10 meters and 1.5 draft. Great facilities here too. I’ll try and get some footage of Takaza in rougher weather when we can. 😃
