Cut from my baseball team as a junior. Watched this video and never gave up. Transferred schools and made 1st team all conference as a senior. I'm now starting my first year of college baseball, and this video is a big reason why.
I've been cut from my high school baseball tryouts for 2 years in a row. Everybody keeps telling me to give up, and sometimes I feel I should, but this video motivated me to keep pushing on and never give up.
Keep working don't stop and resist the temptation to quit. Ringing that Bell to quit is always an easy way out. When it hurts, when your hands are blistered, and the hard work you put in when nobody's watching you my friend will succeed. Stay true to yourself and continue to work hard every single day.
Time flies! I was a kid when this video came out and I watched it so much throughout my baseball career. I’ve now since played college baseball, retired from playing, and I’m a coach now and I still watch this so much!
Before i watched this video I thought my life playing baseball was over. i thought i wasn't good enough to be on a travel team or an all-star team. But this video and inspired i worked my ass off and it paid off. Now i am the shortstop for my all-star and traveling team. This video helped me so much with my success. Hard work does pay off.
After watching this video, the words attitude and effort spoke to me, I'm in my freshman year of college and from watching this I give 100 % everyday. I push my self to a level of greatness so I can achieve my dream.
My baseball team watched this before every game of the Illinois high school state playoffs. The best-pregame video i have ever watched. we watched that video seven times, 7-0 ISHA class 4A state champs baby LT baseball. This video gave us our quiet confidence. Thanks
"win this pitch" that is written all over the tcu locker room. you dont have to like baseball to take a life lesson from this. work hard, believe in your self and be humble... the best video ive ever seen
Went from throwing only 3 innings my redshirt sophomore year to transferring schools and being named to the All-Conference team my redshirt senior. Circumstances don't matter, keep pushing. Keep driving, and you will see results.
i went from a little one team travel organization in a back yard to one of the biggest travel teams in indiana stay humble remember where you came from .
I tried out and didn't make it this year not to be self boasting or over confident I was one of the best players there the people who made the team were rich or knew the coaches the team only won one game
Jackson Vance i had the same exact problem last year. But i knew the coaches didn't see my true potential, so i worked harder and stayed focus and this summer i made varsity as a on going sophomore at a different school.
I watch this right before my college practices/games... this really is so true, at the division 1 level every single guy is good but its the teams that work their ass off that become great. TCU is a great example even though they may not get the best players in the country they work hard and find ways to win and they can compete with anyone.
Hey man like I always like to say to people who always wanna quit on something one of the greatests and my favorite quote "Hard work beats talent when talent fails to work hard."~~ you have something that most people don't and that is the will to go on I look up to people like you to tell people like you I respect the hell outta people like you, who work and work so they can do what they want.
one ting ive found with being part of a juco baseball team is that its alot different from highschool baseball, in college your part of something, theres no biases, because everyone has faith in their coach enough that he picked the right group of guys for that team, and you bond instantly. its my freshman year on the team and this is a feeling im not going to forget. for once in my life im quite proud to say im part of my team and wear my colors.
I use this for my little league team. Coach Schlossnagle (narrator) and I have the same coaching philoshy. It isn't about winning....it's about fundamentals, team, and being responsible for our own actions. This is why I coach! My kids love this!
I'm 13 I thought i was the worst at baseball so i thought i would search motivational videos than this popped up i am in pony ball and for now on i will do the best at my ability this video helped me so much thank you
Before this I didn't know I could play baseball, if I was good enough but I just started. This video makes me go to the gym and work my butt off and get better everyday
Know this, a single game or a single series does not define a champion. A true champion emerges in the early morning hours. A determined force, wet with sweat, deprived of breath, mentally driving the body beyond fatigue. Beyond pain, beyond reason. To the point of exhaustion. How far an athlete can push the limit when no one is watching. Thats the ascents of a champion!!
The same thing happened to me recently. A year ago i started being really interested in baseball. I new i was going to try out for my middle school team which we just had tryouts to a few weeks ago. I worked so hard for 3 sometimes four hours a day playing baseball. I tried out and made it and am one of the best 7th graders on my team. That goes to show how hard work pays off.
A kid on my aau team is also the starting shortstop on the highschool varsity team. He's in 7th grade and plays at on of the best highschools in my state
My brother, was the laziest person I knew. He had so much talent and i hated to see him waste it. After he was done playing for the high school, he went on to a small school in Boston. And something in him clicked. As a senior in HS he benched 165, now he benches 310 and starts at shortstop. He played 3rd and 1st in HS bcuz his coach didnt believe in him. He is such an inspiration to many now.
I saw this when I was in high school in 2012…. Watching it again brings back everything ……Go get it
Cut from my baseball team as a junior. Watched this video and never gave up. Transferred schools and made 1st team all conference as a senior. I'm now starting my first year of college baseball, and this video is a big reason why.
+Mike Boucher Hopefully I can make this change myself.
Mike Boucher how’s that going for you? I’m 4 years late but congrats man!
I've been cut from my high school baseball tryouts for 2 years in a row. Everybody keeps telling me to give up, and sometimes I feel I should, but this video motivated me to keep pushing on and never give up.
+Isaiah Bullard NEVER GIVE UP
How'd it go the 3rd time?
I got cut last year but I'm working hard every day in order to get better, don't quit

Best speech to listen to before tryouts

I was cut from my high school baseball team twice worked hard and finally made it !!
