Sure she has the money for it, but it doesn't mean she should spend it on an invitation. She couldve gotten that money invested, saved the money for something else, or buy herself an actual jewelry box that she can look at everyday as opposed to invitations which wont be in her possession forever.
He just wanted to Dance under the chandelier?! That’s freaking romantic!! seems like some Brides forget that the weddding is a big day for the GROOM as well!!
At first when I saw this I thought that the one invitation was a stack of invitations just nicely packaged with a jewel ribbon holding it together and I thought she ordered a stack for $55, oh boy was I wrong that was one $55 invitation
The groom looked SO happy when he gave the idea of dancing under the chandelier but the bride had to break his heart in the most disgusting way possible
As soon as she said "He needs to stop putting in his two cents, he just needs to show up." I was ready to slap her. Girl, you dont even ka-know that you got a great man. He is sharing ideas with you and participating in the wedding with you which is something other women BEG their men to do. Please be more grateful your man is not a quiet one and actually expresses some of his ideas with you. And honestly his idea was super romantic too! "We could dance under the chandelier together for our first dance." If my man said that, I would've melted and been so happy he'd want our first dance to be so intimate and romantic. Yes I also understand she just wants her way, but she really did not have to word it so rudely. She pretended to consider it then imediately went "Nope we are not doing that, front will be the dance floor." Her attitude and tone really bothered me. God bless this man, he is such a keeper and I wish him all the best.
I knowwwwwwww🥺 That chandelier idea was awesome and so romantically beautiful. I'd seriously would've been floored i'd a guy said proposed that idea to me😔 That lady just doesn't see it I guess💔😔
She even spoke to her sister with such drama. The episode at some point showed her and her sister at the salon to figure out what was going to be the signature hair and make up style. Tiffany kept saying "just like that," as soon as she noticed how she wanted her hair done. She actually started to cry just because she got irritated with her sister "interfering" with her hair style decision.🙄😒
This woman has “crazy” written across her forehead Also: the invitations are $55 each and they have about 250 guests so 55 x 250= 13,750...this woman made her mother spend $13,750 on invitations and then got mad at her because her mother didn’t love them
@@naomihajian7659 Well many would be couples so that will save some lol. Okay this is ridiculous. This woman is to the left side of CRAZY! If the wedding was between $40,000 to $45,000 total that means one third of the wedding budget was spent on invitations?? Absurd. Also raise your hand if you thought the invitation was nothing special once you look past the packaging. (hand raised),
Lmaoo. Nooo. Each individual does not need an invitation. When you do invitations the rule is 60% of the list which in this case would 150 x $55 = 8250. Let’s assume she gave 10% of them in person which means the last 90% would need to be shipped. With the flat rate usps small shipping box at $7.45 that equals 1005.75. So its grand to total of about 9255.75. That DOESNT make it ok though! That way to much for invitations. That’s like 3 - 4 DJs!
She's such a manipulative person. Like when the groom wanted some things based on his idea she threw a tantrum and then said 'I love you' sealing it with a kiss which initially made the guy agree and say yes. Then when her mom didn't like the overdecorated invitations she kept repeating 'why are you frowning' in a rude tone with a sad face which then made her mom say that she didn't frown and as usual agree to her plan. Nope. I'm sorry but sis isn't going to places with that attitude.
She also said something like "as if it's not my wedding" when Jermaine shares his opinion, but then same time tells him to just "show up" as if it's not his wedding. How annoying.
And the wedding planner or whoever she is wasn't making it any better. "If Tiffany agrees to that." Um...who the fuck is Tiffany? It's his wedding day too.
@@brett8460 i understand the planner though, cause you want them to agree. So i can do that if she agrees. The groom usually gives up easier or compromises, so she would check in with the more stubborn person. Also usually the bride hires the planner, meet and talks with on a regular basis. ( especially cause most grooms dont care or help). But if one person actually calls ,hires and deals with you, at the end of the day you are going to make sure they are happy. Idk if you ever see when a parent hires and pays the planner, the planner usually checks in with that parent ( aka the one paying, their client). Even if the event is for multiple people, you want to ensure the one who pays/hired you is happy.
Meanwhile I’m practically begging my fiancé to be interested enough in the wedding to give input other than “who cares let’s just get married” 🙄 he seems like such an amazing man and she’s kind of insane. She seems abusive af treating her mom and fiancé like that.
They need to be in agreement. Me and my husband were in an agreement. He told me who we wanted to invite they got invited and I give an option of what suit to wear. Anything else it was my way he doesn't care. The baby's nursery he doesn't care he just tells me what ever I want and pays. Men typically don't care about that stuff.
This is just sad. She doesn’t even seem like an adult. Soooo childish I can’t even believe she talked to her fiancé and mom like that 😂 all I see is red flags left and right
If she loved those invitations so much, why didn't she just bought them for the wedding party like her bridesmaids and stuff and send normal envelope invitation to rest
“Oh he had to put his two cents in!” Um yeah, it’s his wedding too. Meanwhile you have put your cents in and you say you’re not controlling. Girl please. Get a reality check.
My husband and I spent $500.00 for everything for our wedding and it turned out pretty fun. Granted we didn't have as many people on the guest list that showed up, but it was still fun. To me a wedding is not always about just the bride, the groom needs to have his say innit as well. Ever notice that the more expensive a wedding gets, the less likely a couple will stay together?
"Just show up, that's what the guy's supposed to do." She should be grateful that he's so involved in the wedding planning. It hints that he'd probably be a good dad too. (If they do want kids)

That dress that she put on while she was asking if her mom could get it for her, was literally probably the best dress for her, it was so beautiful on her in it shaped her so nicely and she just looked like she was glowing
I understand this bride being very excited about the wedding, but I don’t understand how it is only “the brides day”, aren’t weddings supposed to be a celebration of a pair? How come the grooms opinions and wishes can be ignored like this? It’s sad... and the overreacting over those invitations... poor mother... I had the same reaction as the mother watching this, those boxes are way too much for 1 invitation only even aesthetic-vise :/
My husband and I came to an agreement on the wedding. I would do everything with decor to the schedule, because I'm an event planner and he trusted me. Also, he wasn't into the "girly" stuff. I wanted him to something so he was in charge of the reception games and honeymoon. He knew more about destinations than I did. We put together the food and music. I was also in charge of the cake.
Because straight guys don't typically care about these kind of details. Actually, most of them would feel releaved if they aren't asked to choose flowers, dresses, invitations and generally anything that looks pretty. BTW, I'm not implying that these invitations are tasteful.
@@antoniobittarperdomoyboliv7501 I understand there are guys like that, but this guy obviously had something to say, so why ignore him? I came back here after so long when I came across her business "pink hotel." This entire episode is practically a portrayal how women like her never planned ahead after marriage. She only wanted a wedding because she grew up in poverty and dreamt of hosting a big event once she was financially stabled. Her interview recorded along an article asked certain questions regarding her family life. She actually admitted that she would not have gotten a boyfriend if she was given a chance to restart life because they're too distracting.🙁 She divorced Jermaine once she realized he was not supportive of her business idea.
Dira Boddie right her idea of there main table under the chandelier is ridiculous you gone have some people looking to your back, while the other half looking at your front. “TACKY, TACKY, TACKY.”
I agree weddings ARE for BOTH families to celebrate the union of the bride and groom. Weddings, as we know them, have changed drastically over time. The groom's family would pay a bride price and if accepted, the bride's family would pay for the wedding/reception if there was one. Women have been targeted by greedy business people and told that weddings are the "most important" experience they'll ever have. The wedding industry plays off of the myth and stereotype of the "frivolous wife/woman" combined with insecurities society creates within women about self-image. Sadly it works like a charm every time. Instead of genuinely uplifting and congratulating brides-to-be, they push the façade that certain looks and very specific activities should be planned and achieved to ensure happiness (at all costs because "it is HER" day). The bride is highlighted and the misconception that she's the most important (blinding her and her friends and family from the reality she is being grossly overcharged and taken advantage of). The mindset is the groom should sit in the shadows and be glad he can show up. Tuxedos along with shirt, tie, shoes, etc. together are often nowhere near as expensive as the bride's dress alone. Once you factor in hair, makeup, accessories, undergarments, veil, flowers, etc. the price difference just doesn't make sense. The definition of weddings simply as celebrations of the joining of TWO has been destroyed for the sake of profit. Making it easy for a wedding tax (just like the pink tax women have to pay for things labeled womens/ladies) to be added to anything with little to no regard to how ridiculous it is [for something like that to exist and not be illegal] in the first place. Marriage has been misrepresented and misinterpreted as a "wedding" and it's sad. Honestly people really don't realize that money doesn't equal love. It takes true love and commitment for a marriage to work; not a wedding. It's best to start a marriage off in good standing and debt-free than to start it off butting heads because life savings were spent on one day. However I will say, you can tell a lot about the way the actual marriage might go by the wedding planning. Trust can be built or broken over the sake of one day.
The audacity of this girl is overwhelming. This isn’t just her day it’s his too. I hate it how people say like it’s the brides day, y’all are completely forgetting about the groom like he is getting married too. It’s not good to start a marriage to be hiding that you bought $55 wedding invitations after y’all already bought some, she is waaaay too controlling.
Wow. My wedding invitations were a gift from a friend from high school who did 'real' calligraphy! I paid for the card stock, gave her the text, had her mock up a few different layouts, chose one, and she did them all by hand. Cost? Maybe $50 for the card stock and the calligraphy pen and nibs, and ink! My husband and I wrote out the addresses on the envelopes. I wonder if these two are still married! If that's the way she is spending money for a one day event... Goodness! A budget of $40,000 would be a down payment on a house!
👸😜 this Bride is a jerk. Very domineering and very spoiled. I think the groom should run for the Hills fast. She is a narcissist and has to have control of everything without caring about the groom or her mother or anyone else for that matter
She can take an easy trip to the dollar store and get some white wedding invitations which would be about 270 dollars and write the name, address, schedule, etc
"I don't think I'm a controlling bride!" -a few minutes later- "I didn't think you would have this much say in OUR wedding! I've had this vision forever!"
That invitation is freaking ridiculous. They're completely devoid of any class or taste... Just gaudy. ~ That Bride is way too self-centered & out-of-control.
Her mom bought them, when she wanted to buy them from their wedding fund he said no and they chose something cheaper... I think he should think twice but she did not use their money to buy them after he said no. The invitations should not be what he leaves for there are way bigger stuff to worry about.
Moonie the invitations wouldn’t be the reason. The price would be the reason. If she has expensive taste like that, it might be too much for him to handle. If they both chose and agreed on the first invitations together and she goes behind his back to get something else, she can’t be trusted. This is a sign that his opinions do not matter or that he won’t have a voice in their wedding. You’re looking at the smaller picture when she’s obviously painting a much bigger picture.
I was cautious at first, then cried when the dress was chosen, then laughed at her dismissing his idea of dancing under the chandelier, then concerned by her dismissing ANOTHER great suggestion by hubby-to-be and saying it’s _her_ wedding, then disturbed by her need to order expensive unnecessary invitations and not understanding her mother’s reaction. Are we dealing with a young mind here?
Omg she’s such a spoiled brat. She freaked out on her poor mother who’s helping her with the invitations just because she didn’t react the same way she did and because she didn’t like the invitations as much as she did. We all aren’t supposed to completely agree with each other all the time! It’s okay to like different things and have different opinions! Those invitations were tacky af anyways

Yep. We chose a special design to signify our relationship but they’re still super cheap. I hope people will keep them but if not, I completely understand too.
Congradulations! I hope you are happy and if I can ask anything, PLEASE don't act like this woman. Celebrate the love you have with someone you care about:)
I think it was probably more like 6,500. Since normally one invite is send out to a couple ( so its John plus one). So she probably ordered 125 to 175 invites.
I actually love it when the groom shares his thoughts on the wedding planning as well. As someone who has worked with couples for their weddings, I really believe it's THEIR day and it should be something they both dreamed of. ❤️
I remember both episodes (finding the dress and the wedding). FIRST: a bride is not marrying herself, so if her soon-to-be husband has ideas about the wedding, listen to him. You might not agree but if you want him involved in the marriage, you should involve him in the wedding. (Especially if he's excited about giving input). SECOND: if you're willing to hide money and invitation details before the wedding, that's a red flag about possible issues to come. THIRD: marriage is "we, us and ours", not "I, me, my and mine". If I'm only concerned about my wants (not even my "need"), I have to mature more before I say "I do" because the 2 become 1 flesh.

Everything about this woman says her mommy and daddy never told their princess "no" so she never grew up. I mean, just look at that side pony.
Looks a bit like Jojo Siwa, doesn't it?
First thing I thought of was aging Valley Girl.
Hey the side pony is just a hairstyle. It has nothing to do with her selfish attitude.

Her mom is right that's a jewel box not an invitation. Sure she has the money for it.

It’s an expensive one too.
Sure she has the money for it, but it doesn't mean she should spend it on an invitation.
She couldve gotten that money invested, saved the money for something else, or buy herself an actual jewelry box that she can look at everyday as opposed to invitations which wont be in her possession forever.
I'm just upset the mom paid for them without knowing what they looked like.
It looks like it belongs in MTV's My Super Sweet 16
It’s a 3rd of the budget she does NOT have the money lol
The fact he wants to dance under the chandelier is adorable she wants it how she wants it but the guy doesn’t get to do anything he wants

@@lettersforchrist no thank you. I'm perfectly okay with my religion, and makes me happy. Sorry!

At first when I saw this I thought that the one invitation was a stack of invitations just nicely packaged with a jewel ribbon holding it together and I thought she ordered a stack for $55, oh boy was I wrong that was one $55 invitation
Girl, most brides would kill to have a fiancee as invested as yours! Weddings are shared and the fact that he genuinely wants to help is super sweet
Why doesn’t she have a sweet 16 cause that’s clearly what she wants instead of a wedding between TWO count em TWO PEOPLE
Yup
Nicely put
Exactly!!! Its SO rare for guys to even ACT like they give a shit about stuff like this! He's so cute haha

If I talked to my mom like she did at the end she’d slap me, no matter how old I am
Yes she whines all lot
Fact*
I felt bad for her mom
She acted like her mom just killed somebody for disliking tacky, overpriced invitations. She’s so overdramatic.
The mother’s expression at 6:16 is the most real thing I have seen in this video
This woman has “crazy” written across her forehead
Also: the invitations are $55 each and they have about 250 guests so 55 x 250= 13,750...this woman made her mother spend $13,750 on invitations and then got mad at her because her mother didn’t love them
Don't forget shipping costs to send them all to the guests.
@@naomihajian7659 Well many would be couples so that will save some lol. Okay this is ridiculous. What does she and the now ex do that they have so much money. with a disposition like this and having her on tv her stock just went down a tonne. If I were the employer or a customer I wouldn't go to such a selfish woman who thinks she is the only person in the world who counts.
That’s like

Especially with the whole "spontaneous" thing.
Exactly like bish you wanna control someone's facial expressions? She wants to frown she'll frown cuz you don't make her smile lady!

Marriage is between two people so there should be two people planning and I get that not all grooms care but clearly he does!
Marriage should be a breeze then, all he gotta do is 'show up', no active participation or effort :/

Don't we all throw wedding invitations afterwards !

I came back here after so long when I came across her business "pink hotel." This entire episode is practically a portrayal how women like her never planned ahead after marriage. She only wanted a wedding because she grew up in poverty and dreamt of hosting a big event once she was financially stabled. She actually admitted that she would not have gotten a boyfriend if she was given a chance to restart life because they're too distracting.🙁 She divorced Jermaine once she realized he was not supportive of her business idea.

The dancing under the chandelier idea is top tier
Why does everyone say "its the brides day" both of them are getting married its the COUPLES DAY!!!!
It's a historical remnant of a time when weddings were one of the gew things really "for" women. But nowadays? Bullshit imo.
I agree

I kinda agree with the bride's mother when the invitation was shown.

I love Monty jumping 😂❤️
DEFINITELY!
Agreed!
This is so apt👌
